"Are you sure that we are doing the right thing? You've barely acquired 1.3 million gold coins, and we had only planned to purchase lands worth 250,000 gold coins!" Talia said, worried about the decision Shane had taken.
"To be honest, I wanted to claim more lands as our territory, but, at least I didn't buy too much of the ocean area around the Dimension portal.
As long as we can construct a small, secured path from the Dimension Portal to the coast, everything would be fine!"
Instead of 250,000 gold coins, Shane had used 800,000 gold coins to purchase 8 square kilometers of land!
Two square kilometers were the surrounding area of the Dimension Portal, while four square kilometers were coastal areas. As for the remaining two kilometers, they were suitable for construction purposes!
Most people would call Shane insane or crazy, and he could understand their reasoning. It would be stupidious to purchase a large land parcel and build a complete nurturing ground for one's Artisan Hall and Guild in the Neptua Ladra region!
However, why should he, the person who was the most acquainted with the beast hibernating within the underground cave, bother about that?
The day his father, uncles, and aunts had been defeated by the Leviathan, the gigantic, several hundred meters long sea serpent, was the day everyone was forced to sign a harsh contract.
This contract which the Leviathan had forced upon everyone, seemed simple in the beginning, however, who would have known that it would have such devastating consequences.
It stated that they and every offspring of John, his aunt, and uncles would have to leave the Leviathan in peace.
At the same time, a contract clause stated that they should prevent anyone from attacking it ever again, otherwise, it wouldn't hold back its strength.
With that being said, Shane's father and the others had returned home, only to read an additional clause that they had seemingly overlooked.
This clause had been enveloped with the Leviathan's mana turning it invisible until the contract had been signed.
The additional clause stated that all of their offsprings should be brought to the Leviathan once they reached the age of four.
This was shocking and terrified everyone but it hadn't been important at that time because John Stella and his mother, Sarah Suro, were not together yet!
Nobody had planned to become a parent in the next few hundred years because there were too many things they wanted and had to do. However, fate worked against John Stella and soon Sarah Suro became pregnant!
Shane's birth had been unplanned but it had happened and his mother had given her life in order to birth him.
As such, everyone was even more protective of Shane and had tried to find a way out of the contract they had signed.
However, the day Shane turned four years old, his father, aunts, and uncles were forced to oblige the contract's condition.
They tried their utmost to fight against the contract, but their strength had been too weak, and Shane, who had already lived a short life on earth before, couldn't help but hope that the Leviathan wouldn't kill him.
He had heard lots of stories about the Leviathan and from what he understood, the giant serpent's life must be on the line as well!
Otherwise, there wouldn't be a good reason for such a strong beast to let his father and everyone else stay alive!
As such, the four-year-old Shane told his family that he was fine with meeting the Leviathan.
His father was unwilling to take him to the Leviathan but the contract he had signed had corroded his mind.
Yet, after he saw how confident his son was, he reluctantly took him to the underground cave.
Shane should have been scared, but at that time, he had yet to face the cruel reality!
Within the underground cave, one could barely see anything and after John had taken him to the cave by using his spatial affinity, he was forced to leave again.
A moment after John Stella had appeared within the underground, he had been pushed back before he was even able to close the spatial portal.
It was the Leviathan who had done this in order to be alone with Shane, who was completely unaware of what had happened.
Only after a few seconds had passed, he noticed that his father had vanished and the whole underground cave had been illuminated.
At that time, Shane had heard a beautiful and calm voice that wanted to know more about him.
He was unsure of how much time had passed but Shane had felt great talking to the voice, until he saw a gigantic snakehead, that had the size of an entire house, protruding out of the dark water, not far away from him.
Only then did Shane realize that the voice he had been talking to belonged to the Leviathan, which everyone was afraid of.
This astonished him, but oddly enough, Shane was not scared.
It was unknown whether this stemmed from [Artemis' Blessing] that had yet to be fully released or the Innate taming Skill.
Both were possible, but Shane felt that the Leviathan didn't harbor any ill intention.
Suddenly, he noticed a much smaller head protruding out of the dark water, which was more astonishing than the large head of the Leviathan.
The Leviathan had given birth to an offspring on Igra!
The reason for this was simple.
Leviathans were beasts that hailed from the Main Dimensions and similar places, with huge mana density and purity, which indicated how strong Leviathans were.

However, the issue with a newborn leviathan was, that the more mana it absorbed, the longer it would become.
Based on a Leviathan's length, one could tell how strong they were.
Yet, the issue the newborn leviathans had to face was that their mana absorption was too high, which meant that they would continually absorb lots of mana.
This would, in return, increase their length at a rapid pace!
Their growth had to be regulated and the Leviathan mother had searched several centuries for a suitable world to bear her child!
The newborn leviathan had been younger than Shane at that time and it wouldn't grow much on Igra until the planet's core would be awakened!
This would happen soon and Shane, who had stayed with the Leviathan mother and its offspring for several days, knew that both mother and child wouldn't remain on Igra for long.
They would at most stay there for several years.
However, all of that was not important and Shane accessed his spatial ring, where one could see a less than 20-centimeter long fang.
It was hollow and forcefully shaped into a different form, but Shane knew that it was one of the fangs that belonged to the Leviathan child.
He had received this a long time ago before his father had brought him back home, once he had been able to enter the underground cave with his spatial affinity again.
Everyone was glad that he had survived, but the fact that he had been holding a weird-looking whistle upon his return was weird.
Afterward, Shane had explained what had happened and everyone had sighed in relief, thinking that the Leviathan mother had probably wanted to show John and the others how they would feel if their child would be taken away.
This was probably just a way the Leviathan mother had chosen to prevent the same from happening to her own child!
Now that a decade had passed since that incident Shane had begun to ask himself how the Leviathan mother and her child would be doing.
Because of that thought, and the need for a small territory in which he could build the nurturing grounds for the Astral Artisans and Starlight guild, he had decided to purchase a piece of land in Neptua Ladra.
It was not as dangerous as everyone imagined and Shane was sure that the investment of 800,000 gold coins was worth every square meter he had purchased with it.
If possible, he would have purchased even more and Shane began to think of ways to earn more funds because now he had only 550,000 gold coins left!
This was not enough to nurture the number of Astral Artisans Talia had in mind and Shane was not satisfied with his coin balance as well.
He just told Talia that she should start searching and acquiring the materials they required to construct everything, which included a small bridge they had to construct to reach the Dimension portal.
The Neptua Ladra dimension portal was not far away from the coastal area, however, it had emerged above a small field of rocks.
A small bridge would make everything much easier, even though it was not necessary, and Shane thought that everyone would feel much better as everything would become much easier.
After he had told Talia to start with everything, Shane took her to leave because he had something else to do.
Utilizing the Dimension Portal as soon as he appeared in front of it, he chose the [Neptua Ladra] dimension portal as his destination.
'A short visit and explanation should be more than enough, right? It's not like I want to hurt Levi and her daughter!'
*[On Libra at the real estate firm]*
'He paid 800,000 gold coins to claim such dangerous lands! It's not like there is only one strong beast in the ocean!... What a waste of precious funds…'
The real estate agent thought, complaining about how Shane had used his funds.
If he would have had so many gold coins at Shane's age, he would have utilized them in a much better way, and wouldn't have purchased lands that were way too dangerous to build on.
Only someone utterly stupidious would do something like that!
Suddenly, at that moment, he received a phone call from his boss!
With a faint smile on his lips, he wanted to brag about the land he had sold as he accepted the call.
However, what he heard next shocked him greatly!
"WHAT??? The government wants to claim the lands around the Neptua Ladra region??....b-but I just sold it!"
