Even though Shane was astonished about the information the shelter captain provided him with, he couldn't help but think about the Destar race.

'Do they play any role in the beast gathering? It's not normal for four overlords of areas to come together to establish an alliance instead of killing each other! If the Golden Centipede King and Bloodlust thunder wolf are already stronger than Aisha, that means their mana purity is around 95%, if not higher.

In conclusion, this should mean that the Four Element Eagle and Greater Phantom tiger have similarly high combat prowess.'

Shane was not worried about the high number of beasts at the Elite and Awakened stage, and only Superior peak-Awakened stage beasts were problematic for them to handle.

However, after thinking about it a little bit, he couldn't help but conclude that the shelter walls were not strong enough to withstand the onslaught of several million Elite stage beasts, let alone more than 100,000 Awakened stage beasts.

He didn't even have to think about the four Superior peak-Awakened stage beasts that had a combat prowess comparable to an Expert with a mana purity of 95% or more because it was ridiculous to think that the shelter would survive something like that.

"Even with the Valkyries and Miriam together, it's unlikely to defeat the four Superior peak-Awakened stage beasts...The shelter will be destroyed before they have a chance to enter close combat either way…"

Shane's expression worsened and he began to scratch the back of his head as he raked his mind to come up with ideas to solve the looming threat over the shelter.

"The shelter does not have any attacks that cover a large area, right? How about mages with large-scale attacks? Or….even a high-grade fire thrower would be fine…"

He was unsure when or if the gathered beast groups would attack their shelter, but it was better to be prepared than to do nothing!

Several minutes had passed by and the female shelter captain was not sure anymore if she was the one responsible for the RadiantRing shelter's security or if it was Shane.

"I...should report everything to the higher authorities…." She just mumbled when Shane left her office hurriedly.

Right now, there were no signs of a beast tide nearing the shelter and a large number of beasts were simply gathered at a spot.

At least, that was what one could read from the large-scale radar that was affixed to the shelter hall.

As such, after deciphering the information on it, Shane first informed the Starlight guild about everything he had found out.

The news astonished them greatly, but everyone was able to maintain their composure which made Shane proud.

Unfortunately, there was no time for him to praise them because he had to inform Aisha and Miriam!

They were the only strong prodigies Shane was acquainted with.

He wanted to ask them whether or not they could support the shelter right now. It was not unlikely that the government would request their help too, but Shane wanted to be the first to know.

The Starlight guild and Shane had yet to decide whether they would abandon the RadiantRing shelter or not.

It was simply not worth sacrificing their lives in order to try saving something that was already doomed!

With Aisha, the Valkyries, and Miriam, this was not necessarily the case because they were strong enough to fend off most beast tides, but Shane would still be reluctant to remain inside the Radiant mountain ring dimension.

They had already solved their mission and both Shane and the Starlight guild had no reason to remain within the RadiantRing shelter.

Shane had no intention to face both the Golden Centipede King and the Bloodlust Thunderwolf.

His first encounter with them had already been unpleasant and it was not something he wanted to repeat!

As such, the first thing they did was to leave.

Before tragedy befell they had to save themselves as there was no need to remain within dangerous areas!

However, just as Shane wanted to access the Dimension Portal, he received a system notification.

[[Hidden-Universal-Mission] |1 out of 2| <God of Slaughter> can be activated.

Reward after completing both missions: [Tier-2 Mythic] body refining and supreme tickets according to the completion degree!

Remark: Rejecting or failing the mission has no negative effects and does not prevent the host from requesting another [Mythic] mission!]

[[God of Slaughter] Kill as many opponents in the upcoming four-race beast tide! Time limit [72 Hours]]

When Shane read this message, he couldn't help but stop dead in his tracks.

This caused the members of his Starlight guild to bump into him, however, Shane didn't even notice anything!

He had never received a sudden mission, even less a 'Universal' one. However, neither the rewards nor the mission's task caused him to halt in his tracks.

Shane had even begun to break out in a sweat as he read the time limit that was '72 hours'.

"Doesn't that mean the beast tide is about to occur soon??" He mumbled and only a moment passed before Shane turned around as he rushed towards the shelter hall which he had just left.

Less than 30 minutes later he had already left the shelter hall again, and Shane could only remember the female shelter captain's shocked expression.

He did not tell the shelter captain that he had received a Universal mission, but only that he had received a hidden mission just when he was about to leave the Radiant mountain ring dimension.

With that, it was easier to explain everything, and the young shelter captain didn't waste any time as she requested more reinforcement and certain goods that were required to defend the shelter properly.

Other than that, she had also demanded that the reinforcement should have many mages with large-scale attacks.

There was still no message from Aisha and Miriam which caused Shane to sigh as he messaged Frer, who was the only other contact from the Valkyries he had other than Aisha.

Maybe she could help him out, and even if she was unable to, it was better to have reported to more people than necessary rather than too few!

'Should I just reject the mission and leave or wait for some time?? Even if I accept the Universal mission, there won't be any negative effects...There shouldn't be a problem in requesting the [Mythic] mission to gain the permission to purchase the perfect body refining manual for the Expert stage!'

Taking a deep breath, Shane accepted the mission, and the countdown that had already initiated when he had been offered the mission, appeared in his status panel.

[71:28:32].

With a sigh, Shane rushed back to the others that had waited for him before he explained everything that happened.

There was no need to hide the Universal mission from the members of the Starlight guild because it was beneficial in his opinion.

Once the others had heard about his missions and the rewards, with the exception of the Supreme tickets, about which Shane was not allowed to talk because of the system regulations, they immediately said that they would stay behind as well.

Shane was glad when he heard this, but he didn't refrain from speaking about the harsh truth.

"It is not unlikely that some of us might die in the next three days...I don't plan to instill fear in everybody, but I will have to enter close combat in order to kill as many beasts as possible.

If you guys want to stay here, you can utilize the ballistae which the Astral Artisans have manufactured and stored within the warehouse!

There is no need for everyone to enter close combat!"

Yet, instead of accepting Shane's advice, everyone was of a similar opinion that was voiced out by one member,

"If we fight together, it's more likely that all of us survive, right? We are a great team and it's likely that the large masses of beasts focus on the shelter walls first!

Behind those walls were the frightened and weak citizens of the shelter who were defenseless

Fear attracted beasts more than a confident and bloodthirsty aura.

As such, it was said that the defenders on the shelter walls were the safest, yet also the most threatened during a beast tide!!

The hordes of beasts had to pass them after all!
