It could be considered stupid to send the most promising prodigies to another shelter just to conquer it because the high-risk possibility of them dying was always present!
As such, using efforts and funds to create Overlord beast tides might as well be the most efficient way to hit two birds with one stone; utilizing the most combat prowess without the risk of being injured or killed needlessly.
Maybe Shane's expectations were too high and he thought that fighting against the Shelter captain and several of his soldiers would be exciting.
Unfortunately, this was not the case and less than five minutes had passed before Shane had already killed his opponents before he confiscated their spatial rings.
Meanwhile, the darkness enshroudment around Umbra and the Shelter captain vanished, allowing Shane to see that the shelter captain was heavily injured, while Umbra was perfectly fine.
Approaching the shelter captain, he took out two potions. One was meant to heal the Destar while the other one was a paralyzing potion.
Holding the captain's mouth open with one hand, Shane emptied both of them into his mouth before instructing Umbra to pick him up.
After that Shane jumped on Umbra's back before they distanced themselves once again.
More than three hours had passed before Shane told Umbra to slow down.
He got up from Umbra and jumped on the wet soil below as Umbra opened his mouth, releasing Destar race's shelter captain who fell on the ground with a thump.
"The paralyzing potion's efficiency should have dimmed. I can tell that you're able to talk. Now… Do you want to guess what kind of race I am, or are you already aware of the truth?"
Shane's question was simple, but the shelter captain only looked at him with hatred without saying anything.
He had expected this, thus he was able to maintain his calm.
"If you don't want me to lure out hundreds of guards from the Destar race's shelter, better answer the questions! I might as well attack the shelter with several calamity-inducing large-scale attacks!
Let me be honest, I know that the Destar race and two other races attacked the human shelter! If you want to die peacefully without being tortured for centuries, you better answer a simple question!
Who were the two other races that caused the Overlord beast tide at the RadiantRing shelter??
Answering the question won't hurt you or your comrades at all! I will be able to find out the truth either way!"
The Destar race's shelter captain wanted to remain silent, but the question Shane had asked was not something he had expected.
'He doesn't want to know what our next steps are, why we attacked several dozen shelters at a time, or take revenge?'
This confused the shelter captain as he was unable to see or sense any ill-intentions of Shane.
However, at the same time, the Destar knew that it was possible to suppress and cover one's ill-intention.
As such, he chose his next words carefully and replied,
"Don't you hate us for initiating an attack on your shelter? Hundreds of thousands of your race must have died!"
Shane didn't intend to answer this, however, after thinking about it for a moment, he realized that it didn't really matter whether he answered or not.
"I hate your race for attacking our shelter, but at the same time, I have already accepted the fact that the stronger lifeforce prevails and reigns. Nevertheless, this doesn't lessen my hatred or disgust. Unfortunately, mankind has grown too soft during the last few years, but that is not something that should concern you either way.
I'm fully aware of the fact that there should be something extremely precious in the radiant mountain ring dimension, but it is unlikely that you would answer it!
The same applies to other questions, thus I only want to know the names of the other two races that colluded with the Destar race to attack through the Overlord beast tide.
And don't give me the 'I don't know, I'm just a shelter captain'! answer. I have already figured out that you know something, and my question shouldn't be too difficult to answer!"
After Shane had said so, a few minutes passed and he was beginning to grow impatient, as the Destar race's shelter captain cleared his throat.
"Please leave after I answer your question… As for the other two races that colluded with us to invest into the Overlord beast tide, their names are the Kirta and Unadra race!"
Precisely, at the same moment, Shane received a notification from the system informing him that he had found the second out of three races that had initiated the attack on the RadiantRing shelter.
[Kirta race has been detected as a culprit of the Overlord beast tide! [2 of 3] Perpetrators of the Overlord beast tide have been found!]
"Why are you lying to me? I haven't seen any mana distortion building complexes around. That means I could attack the shelter with simple elemental attacks by using parchments, let alone large-scale attacks!"
Mana distortion buildings were essential for a shelter, yet extremely difficult to procure. Mankind had only a few of those, and all of them were situated in the most important shelters.
The mana distortion didn't prevent elemental attacks from being conjured, but it prevented landscape-like large-scale elemental attacks from being employed.
They required an astronomical amount of mana to be gathered at a single point and the mana distortion buildings prevented this from happening!
When the Destar race's shelter captain saw that Shane had noticed their shelter's only weakness in a matter of seconds, he couldn't help but look at the youth in shock.
"How did you know??" He asked in visible confusion only to see that Shane smiled slyly.

"Oh...me? I didn't know about that! I just assumed it to be the case because you haven't said anything about the calamitous large-scale attack, I mentioned. But now that I know, I might as well ask the government to lend me some gold coins so that I can purchase a useful parchment to kill everyone inside your shelter in the most painful way!
What do you think, is drowning or burning alive better?"
Suddenly, Shane's eyes turned cold and the Destar race's shelter captain figured out that he had tried to fool the wrong person.
He was already aware of his inevitable death, but saving his shelter had been paramount.
Their shelter had already commissioned a mana distortion building, but it had yet to arrive and Shane's timing was extremely unlucky for the Destar race's shelter captain.
As such, he had to reveal the race that had ordered the other races to never mention them!
'How does he know that I was lying???'
Sighing deeply, he answered,
"The two races are the Kirta race...and the Miac race!!"
At that moment, Shane exclaimed loudly while a notification popped up.
"The Miac race??? You mean the race that has been annexed by the Dark Ice elves?"
The Miac race was a race that was deemed as talented amongst the basic races because of their innate ice affinity and high chance to be born with a low ranked ability
However, before he was able to listen to the Destar race shelter captain's answer, he was flooded with notifications.

Shane was glad that he'd received 11 Supreme tickets, but he had been more interested in the [Tier-2 (Mythic)] body refining technique from the beginning.
As such, the supreme tickets were more like a small reward in comparison to the body refining technique.
This was because Shane was finally able to complete his perfect physique in all three stages, meaning that he had already finished half of his mission to complete a perfect foundation!!
'Now, I only have to reach a mana purity of 100%!!'
Yet, before Shane could continue to daydream, the Destar race's shelter captain who had noticed Shane's joy after he had exclaimed couldn't help but ask,
"Is knowing that the Miac race had been involved in all Overlord beast tides, something to be happy about?"
These words caused Shane to stiffen, and he just mumbled "all?" in astonishment. His face turned cold and he decided to take care of the Destar race's shelter captain once and for all.
"Thank you for answering honestly, I intend to keep my words and will end your life peacefully. You won't feel any pain!
