Shane didn't expect that Dirk would simply give up after he had enshrouded and forcefully inserted his bloodlust-killing-intent into him.
This was something Shane had never done before, but from what he could tell, it seemed to increase his opponent's fear and decrease his will to fight drastically.
'It's probably intensified the trace of fear and doubts that I have already instilled in Dirk!'
Other than that solution, he was not sure what else it could be. Thus, the moment the spar had ended, Shane retracted his mana and the bloodlust-killing intent.
His demeanor had changed once again, and the spectators couldn't help but gulp as Ivan Ser exclaimed,
"I guess this will be even more interesting than I thought!"
Shane helped up Dirk, who was looking at him in confusion and fear. Not quite believing his eyes, Dirk asked him hesitantly,
"Was that a skill targeting my mentality...or your real strength?"
Dirk Dark was not sure what he was currently feeling, but he knew that Shane had been able to shatter his will after pressuring him with the three arrows he had shot out.
The arrows and Shane's bow were of an extremely high grade and quality with a strong effect.
Yet, after being pressured, Dirk had noticed that everything around him had changed, and it was the bloodlust-killing-intent that seemed to have transported him to hell itself!
However, what had actually happened was that the bloodlust targeting him had begun to seep into Dirk's body, intensifying the pressure, and fear he could feel that had ultimately shattered his will to fight.
Nevertheless, now that everything was over, Dirk's entire demeanor had returned to his usual self.
There was only one difference, which was the fact that he treated Shane like a proper and worthy opponent, instead of a pushover.
"I shouldn't have taken you too lightly," Dirk mumbled as he grasped the hand Shane was holding out for him to get back on his feet.
Afterward, they walked out and the next spars began.
Several hours passed by and the short break after the first round had been concluded was finally over.
It was Shane's turn once again and he recreated the same setup with his weapons as in the first round.
The only difference was that Ivan Ser also had a bow, and an occupation supporting his archer skills and capabilities.
Thus, Shane was much more careful than he had been before.
When the AI initiated the start of the battle, Shane utilized the [Mana membrane] skill once, again. At the same time, the familiar bloodlust-killing-intent reappeared once again.
Ivan had shot out three arrows in rapid succession, yet, before Shane could even fire the third arrow, Ivan's arrows that were enveloped in a thick, emerald-colored layer of mana had already appeared in front of him.
Their velocity and impact were enormous and Shane could only be fortunate that his bow had the [Double impact] ability which allowed his arrows to slow down and divert two out of three arrows' trajectory.
Thus, Shane had been able to evade the first two arrows, while the third arrow followed suit, brushing past him, missing his shoulder by a hair's breadth.
At the same time, Shane's bow dissipated into thin air as he stored it inside his spatial ring.
He unsheathed his sword and exerted both the Slaughterer's Path martial art technique and the Light steps movement technique that had reached the perfect mastery.
Shane's speed increased tremendously while the bloodlust-killing-intent that increased his strength had been further enhanced.
At the same time, Shane, who had already switched his title to the [Berserk-Hunter(F)] utilized the title's skill [Berserk(F)], increasing his strength by 10% for the next 10 seconds.
With these sudden enhancements, his already ferocious appearance reached a whole new level of transformation as he charged towards Ivan, who had already nocked another arrow on the bowstring.
Shane left afterimages in the color of his bloodlust, while his bloodlust-killing-intent began to permeate every spot he rushed past.
He didn't plan to use his taming skill right now and he wanted to see whether he could defeat someone with a mana purity of 93% who fought with him in all seriousness.
However, despite having used every means to strengthen himself, Ivan could gauge that Shane had yet to reveal his entire strength.
As such, he used a skill called [Quadruple shot]. Four arrows manifested out of pure mana emerged around the arrow that was nocked on the bowstring as Ivan shot them out without hesitation.
Shane perceived what was about to happen but before he could react, Cosmo appeared in front of him.
This was unexpected and distracted Shane for a moment, however, Cosmo, who had watched the spar with Umbra through a small opening in the Hidden Paradise, acted on reflex.
Not only did he manifest in front of Shane, but he utilized his [Space Jump] ability, creating one spatial portal in front of him and the corresponding one behind Shane.
Thus, the arrows targeting Shane shot past him through the spatial portal, leaving Shane unscathed.

Only a moment later, Cosmo had manifested a second pair of spatial portals while the first one dispersed.
One portal appeared in front of Shane, who rushed through it without decelerating his pace by even a tiny margin.
He emerged out of the second portal that had been manifested behind Ivan and slashed his dagger at him.
Ivan, who had his wind affinity and the occupation [Hunter of the Wind], wasn't going to give up so easily.
Thus, he utilized his skill [Windwalker steps] that allowed him to transport himself several meters in the distance, away from Shane.
However, before Ivan was able to take a single breath, he perceived the same mana fluctuations behind him.
Thus he utilized the same skill once again, only to see that Shane hadn't moved his sword a single inch this time!
'Did he predict that I'll use my skill again?'
At that moment, Ivan saw a small silver furred fox with a golden starstream like pattern on his fur and golden eyes issue a high-pitched bark.
The fox was sitting on Shane's shoulder, and it was only a moment later that the fox seemed to smile at him slyly.
Yet, before he was able to turn around entirely, a total of three spatial portals appeared around him.
'F*ck!' Ivan thought inwardly, and he was about to activate his skill once again, only to notice that the spatial portals that had obstructed his view of Shane dispersed.
Because of that, Ivan hesitated for a quarter of a second, which was enough for Shane. He had already charged at him, the moment the spatial portals had manifested in order to quickly reach him in the meantime while he was distracted.
The Sword of Blood, Mydra slashed at Ivan with a terrifying velocity, and he could see death approaching him as Shane turned his sword to the flat side.
Shane had expected that Ivan would have been able to use another means to defend him, like multiple skills.
However, when he saw a small smile on his opponent's face, Shane knew that he made a big mistake.
The moment his sword touched Ivan, he disappeared into thin air, and Shane was barely able to sense faint mana fluctuations behind him.
"Not bad! You forced me to use my life-saving skill [Wind doppelganger]! I didn't expect that! However, it's over now!"
Ivan's mana was already extremely weak and Shane doubted that he had enough left to launch a powerful attack.
But, that was exactly what Shane had misinterpreted!
In a single second, Ivan's mana had replenished by at least 1/3rd only to be used up a single moment later.
A huge arrow manifested on Ivan's bow, along with strong wind currents that caused Shane to gulp nervously.
'Why does it feel like I'm fighting a life-and-death battle right now??'
Nevertheless, he didn't panic, instead, he transferred an enormous amount of mana, equal to 10 times that of a peak-Expert stage, which he inserted into Mydra, the Sword of Blood.
The high influx of mana along with his bloodlust-killing-intent circulating through it made the sword vibrate.
Ivan shot the arrow at him and Shane didn't sense anything but the arrow as his sword had been enlarged by half its size.
He slashed out at the arrow that was more than two meters long and as thick as a thigh.
Due to the enormous impact, Shane was pushed back several meters, yet, suddenly, without any prior warning, a spear of darkness shot out of Shane's chest, obliterating the gigantic arrow whose velocity had already slowed down.
This clash caused a small explosion and a huge smoke cloud enveloped Shane, preventing anyone from seeing what happened.
The only thing one could see was Ivan smiling lightly as he mumbled something before he collapsed on the ground.
Only Shane, who was hidden behind the cloud of smoke, had been able to hear Ivan's words, "You were hiding another one?"
[Ivan Ser is unable to continue fighting! Victory, Shane Suro!]
