"Each of your prodigies is as strong as ours...Do you want to make fun of us? What about the 10th seat of your prodigies? A mana purity of 60%?? That must be a bad joke!"

Many representatives of the basic races were voicing out their opinion about Commander Nuyra, whom they called a liar, and they even began to indirectly call the human race foolish and unprofessional.

The murmurs and gossiping that broke out in the other races enraged the human prodigies who were being ridiculed for no fault of theirs.

Only the representatives of the Luiar, Jasdron, and Fiasr race were stoic and looked around while refraining from commenting and they had good reason to do so.

However, instead of jumping up from their seats and causing a ruckus, the humans remained silent and unmoved by the surrounding comments.

It was only when Commander Nuyra intervened in the representatives making nonsensical and snide remarks about Shane and the human race that the human prodigies could let out a faint smile.

"If our 10th seat is so weak, how about we let someone spar against him, who is willing to be beaten into a pulp? Please don't try to make it difficult for us after being humiliated because of our group member who has a mana purity that is at least 30% lower than any other prodigy here!"

He sounded unbothered by the surrounding comments but also confident about his own statement.

Despite ridiculing the human representative, the other races couldn't help but think that something was odd.

This caused most of them to act vigilantly, and it was only when the representative of the Bikandra race, which was a non-elemental race with high physical strength, stood up that everyone went silent.

The attention was drawn to the bulky, silver-skinned Bikandra, who had a total of four arms.

"If the human race is offering a spar, we, Bikandras, can't reject it! Crz, you will spar against the 10th seat of the human race!"

Shane had not even been asked if he wanted to spar against someone else, and everyone's attention was suddenly drawn to him.

However, if he were to back off now, not only would he embarrass himself, but it would be considered an act equivalent to humiliating his entire race in front of a few dozen other races.

As such, he had no choice and could only wait for everyone to step back so as to make space in the center of the hall that could also be used for the two contenders to spar against each other.

With a few simple configurations, a large, yet simple, square-shaped arena emerged out of the hall's floor.

Shane could only sigh, thinking that he shouldn't have eaten so much before as he felt a little full.

Nevertheless, he approached the arena without hesitation as both Umbra and Cosmo transmitted their thoughts.

After this, Shane could only smile lightly as he thought that hiding his tamed beasts would be too much of an effort!

In the beginning, he had no idea whom he would fight, but Crz seemed to be the 10th seat occupant of his race like Shane was.

As such, his mana purity had reached something between 90% to 93%.

This information was not necessarily important because the Bikandra race was more focused on their physique, but even then, Shane did not think that there would be much of a problem.

His tamed beasts were eager to fight and humiliate the other races after all!

They had learned a few bad personality traits from Shane such as his temper, but instead of lecturing them, he couldn't help but like the fact!

He was smiling foolishly while communicating with his tamed beasts.

Yet, Crz, who had been told to humiliate the human race, and everyone else who saw Shane smiling at his opponent, couldn't help but think that he was overestimating his capabilities.

In less than 10 minutes, the arena had been completely set up and Shane entered it to stand opposite Crz.

He was calm and didn't show any signs of being tensed up or altering his stance as the AI began the countdown from three.

Crz had already changed into the most efficient combat stance that allowed him to release his physical strength to reach his fastest speed in a short period.

It was only then that their eyes locked and Shane couldn't help but say,

"By the way, I won't move, so you can attack me however you please!"

This was meant to enrage Crz, but instead of achieving his goal, the Bikandra was eerily calm as he retorted,

"Your petty trick won't work with me! I have fought more than enough scheming opponents to know that you're lying!"

When he heard this, Shane chuckled before he quieted down as he turned serious when the AI announced 'Start.'

"I'm not lying"

At the exact same moment, the bow of destruction and three arrows manifested in Shane's hand, while Crz enveloped his entire body with a thick membrane of mana as he rushed towards Shane.

Crz could cross the distance between them within three seconds flat, but that was more than enough to shoot three arrows that were enhanced by the [Double impact] effect Shane's bow had.

As he had already said, Shane didn't plan to move, and instead, he focused on the three arrows he had

Almost his entire stored mana had been transferred to his bow, strengthening the bowstring, which was noticeable by the high velocity his arrows reached.

They flew straight towards Crz, who had already expected something like this to happen.

Thus, he activated several skills at once in order to increase his defense to the highest possible degree as he twisted his body to evade the first arrow that was aimed at his abdomen.

The other two arrows' trajectory had been altered in order to cut off Crz's path to escape.

As such, he had to deflect one of the two arrows that flew towards him. Fortunately, the other arrow had been targeted towards his right, on the opposite side of the other arrow's targeted area.

Shane was unable to decipher Crz's movements and escape path to the finest detail, which prevented him from targeting him with both arrows at once so as to block his opponent's movement to either side.

With the defensive skills activated and his physique that was refined to a high degree, Crz deflected the arrow shooting towards him by punching out with his fists that were enveloped in metal gloves he had put on earlier.

The deflected arrow left a shallow mark on the metal gloves, but other than that nothing happened, and Crz began to smile devilishly.

However, hurting his opponent was not something Shane had planned to achieve, to begin with!

Rather, the arrows had only been a means to distract Crz from everything else that happened at the same time he took care of the arrows that had been shot towards him.

While Crz had focused on how to deflect the arrow in the best possible way, Cosmo had already emerged behind him, hidden from his view as Cosmo activated his [Space Jump] ability a moment later.

As if Cosmo and Umbra had been working as a team for several years, the two tamed beasts worked in perfect synchrony. Cosmo's spatial portals that were behind Shane and Crz had been manifested as Umbra's huge head followed by the rest of his body emerged from Shane's soul bound world.

Umbra had reached the length of 130 meters and it seemed to take an eternity until he fully emerged from the Hidden Paradise.

Yet, Shane could only smile as Umbra released a large amount of mana which he had released along with his darkness affinity to enshroud the entire arena.

Only a moment later, one could hear a thunderous roar followed by a painful scream as Umbra's fangs sunk into  Crz's arm before he threw him several dozen meters into the air.

From the outside, one couldn't see anything but Crz being hurled through the darkness enshroudment as he approached the ceiling at a frightening pace, his arms flailing in the air, trying in vain to brace for impact.

Everyone had released their mana fluctuations when their sight had been obstructed, and it was crystal clear what was going on.

"He is a tamer...and an excellent one at that!! That's a Horned Darkness snake and....is that a Lesser Starlet Fox??"

Yet, before anyone could figure out if Shane's tamed beasts were what one representative of the basic races had blurted out, a spatial portal manifested above Crz which obstructed Crz from crashing into it, and damaging the ceiling.

Only a few seconds later the AI announced the winner of the battle as the enshrouding darkness parted a little to reveal Shane, his tamed beasts, and Crz who was lying on the ground right in front of him.

Several dozen spears of darkness surrounded Crz while Shane had taken out Mydra, the Sword of blood from his spatial ring.

He pointed it at Crz's neck and simply said,

"Looks like I've won!"
