Time flew by and almost two weeks had passed when Shane's physique attained a perfect physique at the 6th Expert stage.
During these two weeks, lots of things had happened, however, his assumptions that the younger generation had the right to actively participate in the basic race gathering did not come true.
Rather than that, they were supposed to demonstrate their strength, to make ties with the other prodigies, and figure out each other's strengths and weaknesses in order to improve their teamwork.
Shane had told Commander Nuyra that the Astral Artisans were willing to focus on the maintenance and upkeep of everyone's shelter.
They were eager to prove their mettle by reinforcing the walls, exchanging their tower with Greater Astral towers, and if necessary, building another wall inside or outside the already existing shelter.
This astonished the commander, who didn't know that the Astral Artisans belonged to Shane. Nevertheless, he thought that this idea was not bad, considering that the RadiantRing shelter was one of, if not the best shelter they had constructed in recent years.
Thus, Commander Nuyra shared the publicly announced information about the RadiantRing shelter and the contact details with Talia and her small team.
It wouldn't be long before the new batch of Artisans and Combatants they were currently nurturing would have undergone the basic training, allowing them to accept the most basic missions in order to hone their skills and become more proficient.
Furthermore, as most of them were rookies, what they required the most was experience and Shane wanted to provide this!
Due to Shane's continued heavy investments, his fortune was currently not increasing, but that was not really problematic since the stored mana inside the Hidden Paradise was more than enough to solve all issues.
The only small issue Shane perceived was that the Hidden Paradise's size might start to prove insufficient soon and he would have to use up a large amount of mana stored in its world core to further enlarge it.
As such, he did not have too much or too little mana which meant that he shouldn't stay idle!
Absorbing mana on the neutral planet was advantageous, but other than refining his body, there was not much he could do to increase his combat prowess.
With that being said, Shane decided to leave the basic race gathering to request a [Platinum] mission from the system in order to obtain permission to purchase a higher mana purification technique.
Most [Platinum] missions shouldn't be too difficult for him to solve anymore because he had Umbra and Cosmo next to his side, and he was not worried about successfully completing it at all.
Thus, he requested a mission even if his Expert physique had yet to be perfected.
[[Platinum] mission has been requested! Customized mission <Chase> has been chosen.]
[Chase] Host will be teleported to a restricted arena to race against a 'Lightning gazelle'.
No rules. No time limit to complete the mission. Unlimited tries.
When Shane read this, he found the mission to be quite hilarious. As the name suggested, these missions were 'customized', yet, Shane hadn't expected that he would have to race against a lightning gazelle!
That was his Innate Taming skill's upgrade mission after all!
There were slight differences, because his Upgrade-mission was much more difficult, with only three tries for each of his tamed beast, while only one was allowed to race at a time!
Thus, one could say that the customized [Platinum] mission was much easier, which was to be expected.
It was still not an easy feat, but Shane smiled brightly, thinking that the mission he had received was perfect for him, and his situation.
'I can study every little detail about the lightning gazelle thanks to the [Platinum] mission before I switch to the Upgrade mission! That will bring me a huge advantage.'
Shane's thoughts were clear but he also knew that he couldn't just solve his [Platinum] mission without having tested out several things he had to pay attention to for his upgrade mission.
Otherwise, his advantage would be taken away!

As such, he decided to let his tamed beasts race against the lightning gazelle during the [Chase] mission first.
If he were to be teleported and there would be no restrictions, he would be able to access the Hidden Paradise easily.
Yet, the mission he received did not have a time limit meaning that he didn't have to leave the neutral planet immediately. It might have some advantages if the naturally generated mana would be as dense and pure as the Elus race's origin planet, Masua had!
However, this was not the case, and Shane decided to leave for Masua in order to absorb and store more mana while trying to solve both the platinum and upgrade mission at once.
Once enough mana was stored inside his soul bound world, he would enlarge it slowly but consistently before it reached satisfying size!
Shane's time was ticking and if he wanted to become stronger as fast as possible, he might have to overcome his impatience and take a step back which would allow him to take a few steps forward!
'I have to complete my Innate Skill's mission either way and I might as well do it together with the system mission! At least, that way I might be able to unlock the fourth requirement of the customized, hidden occupation by solving the first requirement; increasing the grade of my Innate skill to [Uncommon ★★★]'
He was eager to find out more about his hidden occupation, but he had a premonition that the fourth requirement was even more difficult to solve than the previous three.
As such, he remained calm which was also due to the [Hunter's mind] passive skill.
After reporting what he wanted to do and that he would leave, Shane was free to go.
Commander Nuyra was displeased by his behavior, but Shane was young, and it was obvious that his biggest drawback was his low mana purity!
To become more independent and free to fight with just his own strength, Shane had to increase it as soon as possible.
At least, that was what the commander, who did not see him fighting before, though!
Shane was already relatively independent and could fight against strong opponents, however, it was true that his mana purity was holding him back!
The next several hours that he spent inside the flying train, Shane simply slept which was something he hadn't done in a long time.
When he woke up, the train had already arrived at the final destination and Shane felt as if he had been reborn.
He had slept soundly and the sleep made him feel refreshed and he was more invigorated.
Nevertheless, this sensation vanished at a rapid pace because he hurried out of the train before he approached the Dimension Portal.
After that he entered it to emerge on Masua where he disappeared from, only to reappear for more than a month.
He moved back and forth from Masua in the arena with the lightning gazelle that seemed to have been trained to race which had made Shane spend many frustrating days.
It was a shocking sight to see just how fast the lightning gazelle was, and contrary to a common lightning gazelle, the one Shane had to race against was much faster!
Nevertheless, despite the frustration, Shane never lost his smile because he had already found a solution to win his race against the lightning gazelle from day one!
