Something was wrong about the entire situation he perceived.
Megane as a living being made no sense at all because she seemed more of a doll or even a marionette than a proper living being. When he looked at her he felt that even wild beasts would show more emotions.
She was silent and not even during the fights did she utter a single word, let alone sigh, breathe through her mouth, sweat, or anything like that.
Meanwhile, announcing her existence wouldn't have been much of a problem if the Dark Ice Elves or the Advanced race that backed them had refrained themselves from attacking other races needlessly!
This meant that since the beginning, they should have kept a low profile without trying to destroy the other elven races, let alone a multitude of basic races!
Because he didn't think that those two races were stupid enough to not know about this, Shane assumed that they had a solid reason to behave as they did.
Thus, Shane tried to come up with a proper reason for the behavior of the two races, while using every piece of information he had.
This included things that nobody would ever think of, or would believe upon hearing, except Shane.
'If the Dark Ice Elves and the advanced race have seen similar clues that led to the fact that the Primordial dimensions and the system will cease to exist in the future, everything would become more logical...wouldn't it?'
There was the possibility that those two races had figured out something way earlier than anyone else, and that it was only because of this that they acted like they were doing.
Massacring races and reaping numerous lives was wrong, but Shane began to wonder if they were trying to build an invincible weapon in the form of a living being?
'There might be stronger advanced races with the ability and techniques to create a perfect foundation, but that may not be the case for the advanced race that backs up the Dark Ice Elves.
If they want to use the system and primordial dimensions before it ceases to exist, they have to act fast without bothering about the number of beings they killed.
It's obvious that they don't care about that, but is it possible for my assumption to be correct?'
Since he had read the last few questions of the fluare tower dungeon's quiz, Shane had always thought that something was wrong.
The system had also malfunctioned with many more weird coincidences happening one after another.
Once or twice might be ignored as a mistake, but with the number of coincidences increasing over time, Shane couldn't help but think that it was anything but a coincidence!
This caused goosebumps to erupt all over his body.
It was not because the races surrounding Megane were being so aggressive that they might even try to find and annihilate the human race, but because the possibility of the Primordial dimensions and the system to cease to exist was increasing substantially!!
That was bad, and even if it was only a possibility, there was no way for Shane to remain calm.
The small puzzle pieces were slowly fitting in to reveal the grand puzzle he hadn't been able to perceive earlier.
Shane didn't even care about him possibly overthinking everything, but he was genuinely concerned about the callous behavior everyone showcased by everyone else.
Most races relied on the Primordial dimensions and the system, which meant that a malfunction should worry them.
However, that didn't seem to be exactly the case.
Instead, everyone tried to push away the fear within them while hoping that nothing was wrong and it had only been a glitch.
There were probably beings like Shane who had similar worries, but they might not have other issues to face as well.
Not only the Primordial Dimensions or the system were important, but if the Dark Ice elves were to destroy Igra, mankind would be left homeless without anywhere to go!
This was the worst Shane could think of at the moment.
As such, he couldn't help but hope that his assumption would prove to be wrong.
Nevertheless, at the same time, he sent his mind into the Hidden Paradise, where he found that Talia and many more were still working.
Despite having said that they should leave, the blacksmiths and rune-inscribers couldn't help but forge the weapons out of the blueprints he had given them to learn.

In the end, there were more than 300 members that remained inside the Hidden Paradise, not minding the torment energies that streamed back and forth, transferred to and from Shane!
[Talia, please further increase the recruitment for all kinds of Artisans and tell Miriam to look after the Starlight guild. We might need more combatants soon…]
Shane was aware that newly recruited combatants were useless against the Dark Ice Elves, but his train of thoughts was already fixated on the worst case.
If Igra were to be destroyed before the Primordial Dimensions were to cease to exist, they had to conquer a world to live on too!
This was hopefully far in the future, but Shane couldn't help but feel like they should prepare themselves as well as possible.
His finances were slowly amassing and he had long since crossed the three-digit million figure in gold coins. Despite that, he was still patiently saving gold to awaken the best possible mana heart inside the Hidden Paradise!
Talia was not sure why Shane sounded so worried, but they had already saved more than enough to not be in a hurry to increase their workload once again.
Since the Astral Artisans had constructed the radiant mountain ring shelter, not only the human government but also other races that had seen the system verified information about the shelter evaluation, had hired them often!
As such, many races had requested the Astral Artisans to rebuild, or even build their newly conquered shelter from scratch.
This had been under the condition that both sides had to sign a temporary peace agreement with certain extra clauses.
But that was the bare minimum one had to do in order to prevent any misunderstanding from occurring.
Thus, what Shane had in his finances was only a drop in the ocean of what the Astral Starlight faction had already invested!
Unfortunately, it was still not enough.
Nevertheless, Shane couldn't waste much time thinking about the situation he might have to face in the future because it was more important to survive the Primordial tournament!
With a total of four opponents including himself, Shane was eager to fight two, while he was unsure about Megane.
Would he really dare to fight her, or was that just a ridiculous joke of his?
Nevertheless, the tournament wouldn't last longer than a week.
After that, he could switch his priorities to constructing a perfect foundation and complete several other tasks he had at hand.
Shane's to-do list was overflowing with pending tasks and time seemed to run out faster than he could work!
There was no time to waste on the thought of dying, and Megane was only one of the several problems.
She might turn into a major hurdle, but Shane had to overcome her in order to protect those he loved.
His family was being both ignorant and almost oblivious to the dangers that were about to approach them at a rapid speed.
Only his father seemed to have realized that the Dark Ice elves' threat was much higher than mankind could have ever expected it to be!
Suddenly, something he hadn't expected to happen occurred!
Without knowing how or why, Shane had left his own arena, only to be flung away by a terrific shockwave.
Meanwhile, the arena he had been looking at exploded like a volcano, eradicating everyone within it, leaving no trace of life!
