Tol loosened the grip in his hand a little when Sherri said that it hurt. But Sherri grumbled inside, as his grip was still tight. Naturally, she knew. Oh, she could touch him if her hands were one second faster…

Sherri sucked her teeth with regret, thinking that if she could touch the most sensitive place with such excitement, even Tol, who was playing an iron wall defense, could have simply let down his guard and let her touch it.

Even though she, unable to go as she’d planned, was glaring at him with a sharp face, Tol, who was busy catching his breath, didn’t seem to have noticed. It was then that he, perhaps having calmed down, let her hand go. His chest was still heaving up and down, but he seemed to have recovered to some extent his reasoning, which had almost collapsed. Tchk. How did she get me so excited? No matter how much I think about it, it was a waste.

“Madam Kasheira, please. I, too— I, too, am a man.”

“I know that, too. But you are my ‘escort’. So, you should listen to me.”

Speechless again due to Sherri looking up at him with heartbroken eyes, Tol sighed loudly and said with a tired look, “I cannot accept that.”

“Who told you to? Can’t you just let me do what I want?”

The pleasure will make you pounce on me first. As he’d said, he was a ‘man’ first, and a knight second. Tol’s face twisted horribly when Sherri, who was rubbing his stiff wrist, tapped the bed again with her foot.

“You shouldn’t be like this,” said Tol.

“Says who? I said I’m okay with it.”

When Sherri—her body already hot and bothered—tried to grab his wrist again, Tol backed away from her in astonishment. Was that a rejection?

Anger shone in Sherri’s olive-colored eyes. She had been trying to treat him nicely up until now because he was naive enough to not know a woman, but he was a whiny baby. Given the situation, she didn’t think he would comply even if she gave him orders.

When Sherri got out of bed, Tol gulped and took another step back. He was pointlessly on guard… When he was young, he’d thought it unfair that men were stronger than women. No one could lay a finger on him through physical strength alone.

Without looking at him, Sherri rummaged through the drawer and pulled out a robe and her magic ring. As soon as she put the ring on, Tol’s eyes popped out at her.

“What, uh, is this thing?”

“You still don’t know? I’ve made myself mad, so I’m just going to get out of here.”

“You’re leaving? The sun has already gone down. And how?”

“That’s none of your business! You’re not listening to me anyway.”

“Madam Kasheira!”

In the end, Tol, who watched her put on the robe and push the wall, grabbed her arm in a hurry. Then, unlike before, she snatched her arm away.

“Let go! Never follow me again!”

“I cannot do that.”

“I said let me go!”

With one hand holding him back from trying to grab her arm even though she’d snatched it away, Sherri, who had finished inputting something, pressed her thumb onto the wall, and suddenly a large entrance appeared.

“What’s that?” gasped Tol.

“The marquis’s secret passageway. It’s originally only known by the marquis and the heir, but you’ve found out about it, Tol. Well, oh well. Since you’re a ‘man’ who doesn’t listen to me anyway. No matter where you go, it will be my fault for showing you.”

“Madam Kasheira!”

Tol’s voice heightened a little at her sarcasm. As she glanced at him, she moved her feet toward the passage with the dark opening, and Tol quickly followed her.

“I told you not to follow me!”

“I could never let a princess go out alone at night.”

“Hmph!”

Coyly turning her head, she walked out with the corners of her lips twitching subtly. She couldn’t believe she had been mad at her escort just now, but how could she be holding back her laughter? She didn’t know if anyone would think weirdly of her, but it was a fit of manipulative anger. And as she’d expected, Tol was an innocent man who was too simple to doubt her.

Had she told him to follow her, he simply wouldn’t be able to do it. Rather, it was cliche for him to block Sherri from leaving. However, she thought that if she pushed him away with all her might and jumped up and got angry while telling him not to follow her, he would eventually follow her as she wanted.
