Hello me, or anyone else reading this. It is day 5 of my days in prison, and the princess told me that new heroes were going to be summoned. Will they be like me? We shall wait and see.
I won’t lie, it does get boring in this prison cell. Reading new grimoires gets boring, and the princess won’t be able to see me today because they have to deal with the whole hero summoning business. It seems that the king made good on his word to summon new heroes. So what? What am I supposed to do now? I am not so weak willed as to give up at this stage.
I have grown accustomed to the magic in this world, and my ability to sense it has risen. I felt a spike in magic power coming from the throne room, so I guess that must be from them summoning the heroes. Well this should be interesting at least. I summoned an “All Seeing Eye”. This would allow me to control a floating eye that moves as I direct it.
I floated the eye into the throneroom as the king was giving the same speech to the newcomers. I couldn’t actually hear what they were saying with the eye, but in all my grimoire escapades I had unlocked a lip reading spell. Don’t ask why I unlocked these two spells.
Anyway looking out into the throneroom there were 20 or so people that were summoned. They were all highschoolers wearing their uniforms. Most of the people who were summoned seemed quite eager to head the request. Only a few people looked forlorn. No one seemed to refuse him except for the dark haired man that was presumably their teacher.
The students were then led to their rooms by knights and guards, but the teacher was being led here by the king for some reason. I turned off my “All Seeing Eye” spell as they got to the prison cell. “Nice of you to bring me a visitor on this fine hour.” The king and I had a brief stare down in that instance while he was glaring at me, I was smirking.
Oddly the king wasn’t the one to speak. Instead, it was the teacher. “Miss, please I humbly beg of you. Can you listen to the king's request? I don’t want my students to have to bear this danger, and the king said that you could go. If you go my students won’t have to die a needless death, so please…” He did the dogeza and everything right before me. “Is that right?” I shot the king a look, but he looked away pretending to whistle. Worse is he wasn’t even good at whistling. When I looked back to the teacher he had a hopeful look in his eyes while I smiled at him. “Sorry, but I refuse!”
