Chapter 10 – Jiang Lu isn’t someone you can just bully.
His gaze was straightforward and explicit, as if he was fixing his eyes on his prey. Anyone could see that something was wrong.
Qi Yan looked at the man and then at Jiang Lu. When this strange man came in, Jiang Lu was like a wolf with defenses all over his body. The aura of calm and composure on his body was broken. His gaze was hostile, even with a trace of bloodthirsty coldness.
He had a chill in his heart. How could Jiang Lu look like a teenage child?
Jiang Lu gazed at the man who walked in. He was no stranger to this man. He was this beast who slammed his kitten to the ground hard and mangled it into a pulp.
He always remembered this account.
The man stood there and didn’t leave, his gaze straight. Qi Yan, disgusted in his heart, frowned and was the first to open his mouth: “Why don’t you get out if you’ve come to the wrong place?” In contrast, he had no good impression of this man.
The man ignored Qi Yan and smiled at Jiang Lu, that smile greasy and vulgar, making people extremely uncomfortable: “My surname is Wang. I’m the boss of Fenghua Design. Are you Qin Meng’s son? Hehe… Your mother showed me your picture.”
The man’s gaze became more and more ambiguous. He smiled as he walked over with a mouthful of yellow teeth disgustingly vulgar: “Last time I wanted to see, but I didn’t. This time it’s really destiny. The playthings I raised are really no match for you, sweetie. You’re much prettier than your mother…”
As he said this, he stretched his hand crookedly toward Jiang Lu’s chin.
Jiang Lu’s eyes were still. The hand at his side had long been clenched into a fist. He rose abruptly. Qi Yan couldn’t help frowning at the gloomy and cold hostility.
Not knowing what he would do, Qi Yan looked at Jiang Lu’s expression and felt uneasy. As soon as he was about to get up to stop the young man, he suddenly let out a “crash.” The middle-aged man was poured a pot of tea from behind his head.
“Ah!” The man yelled as the water scalded him. He wiped the drops of water falling on his face in confusion and grabbed the pieces of tea stuck to his face.
“Shit! Who is it?!” The man couldn’t care less about Jiang Lu at the moment, and his tremendous anger made him turn around and curse angrily.
“Who cares who I am? Let’s give you a good mouth wash
You’re saying such vulgar things!”
Qi Anan was holding a large glass teapot in one hand, and her eyes were round. She looked furious. But because she was petite and wearing a clean white school uniform, this anger didn’t make people feel much fear.
Qi Anan glared at this man. She was so pissed.
She was drinking juice in the dining room outside the private room while staring at this side. After waiting for a long time and not seeing any accidents, she had already suspected that the plot in the book wouldn’t happen, but who knew that not long after, she saw a middle-aged man just strutting past and pushing the door into Jiang Lu’s private room.
Qi Anan immediately ran over. When she approached, she heard the man saying disgusting and obscene things, precisely described in the novel. She almost had a heart attack in anger, picked up the teapot on the table next to her, and rushed in.
The man looked at the little girl, and suddenly his anger was even more tremendous: “Little girl, you seek death!” He cursed angrily while waving his broad palm at Qi Anan.
He moved too fast. Qi Anan, with the idea of ending in mutual destruction. She smashed a crackpot, closed her eyes, and threw the empty teapot viciously, the man shouted in a muffled voice, and she didn’t feel the expected pain.
— smashed a crackpot: crazy despair in the face of a setback
Strange. Wasn’t Qi Yan very far away from her, ah? Qi Anan tentatively opened her eyes.
The man’s fist was intercepted in mid-air, the hand holding his wrist was slender and powerful, with a few blue veins bulging on the back of the hand, and the joints were white, which was enough to show how much strength the owner of the hand used.
Jiang Lu’s pitch-black pupils looked at the man solemnly, like an abyss, and when he didn’t move, there was a terrifying hollow feeling.
“Anan, come here.” Qi Yan was almost scared to death and hurriedly dragged Qi Anan over.
Jiang Lu shrugged off the man. He spread out his palms. He had just touched the man’s greasy skin in the palm of his hand, and there was still colossal nausea that made his stomach turn upside down at this moment.
The man with tea sprinkled on the ground almost slipped. He was thrown and staggered a few steps. He raised his head angrily and pointed at Jiang Lu: “Little whore. You wait for me. I’ll kill you sooner or later!” He looked at Qi Anan viciously again. “And you and me…”
Qi Yan shielded Qi Anan behind him. His face sank: “Put your filthy hands down. Do you dare to point at my sister? The boss of Fenghua Design, surnamed Wang, right?”
“Do you dare to scold Lao Tzu?!” Boss Wang sneered coldly and was about to curse again when a man in black suddenly walked in sharply at the door, followed by two bodyguards: “Sorry, Mr. Qi, you go on talking about business. I’ll handle it.”
Boss Wang’s expression instantly became unusually brilliant. The man just came was a connection he had been trying to make. He had previously sent several gifts and entrusted many relations before passing a word. But he hadn’t yet received his answer to meet once.
However, what did he just hear him call the person inside… Mr. Qi?
Thinking about what the man said just now, Boss Wang’s face went pale little by little.
He looked at Qi Yan in panic and smiled cautiously: “Mr. Qi… I have eyes but fail to recognize Mt Tai, and I’ve interrupted your visit. Sir, don’t mind me…”
— have eyes but fail to recognize Mt Tai: to fail to recognize sb important or sb’s great talent
— Sir, don’t mind me: In this sentence, Boss Wang refers to Qi Yan as a higher standard and regards himself as a lowly person.
The more Boss Wang said the lower his voice became, shivering, and he trembled all over. If he knew that he was hot-headed for a while, it would offend such a big shot, and he wouldn’t dare to say anything.
It was all because of Jiang Lu, this lowlife bastard! Boss Wang glared fiercely at Jiang Lu. The contempt and resentment in his eyes were self-evident.
Qi Anan jumped out immediately when she saw it: “What kind of look is that! Who are you staring at!”
Qi Yan failed to pull her and saw Qi Anan rush up to stand in front of Jiang Lu, blocking Boss Wang’s gaze: “Jiang Lu isn’t someone you can just bully. Who asked you to bitch around? From now on, if you see him, you should stay away. Don’t come up and disgust people.”
“I…” Boss Wang didn’t dare to talk back, and his face turned pale.
Unable to see the disgusting sight, Jiang Lu’s gaze fell and fell on Qi Anan’s head, round and hairy.
His fist gradually let go, and after a pause, his fingers curled up again somewhat helplessly.
Qi Yan’s gaze roamed once between Qi Anan and Jiang Lu without saying anything, and he raised his hand to the man at the door first.
The man in black knew he was impatient, and with a wave of his hand, two bodyguards went up and covered Boss Wang’s mouth, who was screaming in a sobbing voice, and sent him away.
He had been begging for mercy for himself. Qi Yan raised his eyebrows and silently looked at Jiang Lu, whose expression had calmed down.
Although young, he had been in the business world for many years. He had seen many old foxes and caught many people’s gazes considered poisonous. Under the spotless school uniform, Jiang Lu couldn’t figure out what kind of soul was wrapped in it.
— old foxes: cunning people
Deep and unmeasurable, The inner city made him unable to explore the bottom.
The eyes were calm to the point of calmness, but it didn’t mean giving up easily. Qi Yan felt that Boss Wang might as well beg this Jiang Lu instead of begging him in a low voice.
Although Jiang Lu was now just a student with no background compared to him, he would lose his fortune at most if he offended him.
But offending Jiang Lu may be much more terrifying than offending anyone else.
