There are many things the eyes can't see but the body feels. To count a few, there's wind, atoms and other objects you can't observe with the naked eye. While people doesn't seems all that aware of what they see, it isn't as if they can't feel it. People will fear what they can't recognize, what they can't comprehend, what they can't feel. Fear will seep throughout someone's body when they see something they don't or cannot recognize, in other words, something they fail to acknowledge. If all what I've been saying, although senselessly, has been true, then I probably am feeling fear right now. Or to be precise, I am possibly seeing my own fear. A thick dark smog in front of me, as if it was trying to swallow me whole. As my legs shakes in fear, the left eye I had, which was normally shut close due to an injury, opened so suddenly and the next thing I remember was I was in front of the school gate while the students made their exit, while my eyes swam around in confusion, unable to comprehend what just happened.

Although that incident happened a while back, I've been seeing similar things as of late. Sometimes I see someone dying in front of me, sometimes I am soaked with blood as if it was raining of it, and sometimes, even limbs falls in front of me, although every time I get consumed by my own fear, I always find myself a moment before the initial event and continue as if nothing has happened. I sometimes find myself screaming through my lungs out, convinced by the horror of my imagination, and every time it happens, a specific part of my boy starts to throb and hurt like crazy. My left eye starts to hurt and throb like crazy to the point where I'll suddenly faint due to the pain.

Each time the pain dissipates, I hear a quiet clanking of gears somewhere close, yet also somewhere far. It's as if the pain synchronizes with the sound. It wasn't until recently that I've noticed that the sound could also be heard whenever I start to see the "delusions" I've been having. Without a proper explanation as to what the sound was, as well as its connection to my newly found dilemma, which are my "delusions", I can hardly live as a normal high-school student anymore. Not that I've been living a normal high-school student up until now. Spending time alone, not being able to make friends, barely scraping by in class. I won't say that I'm the sharpest tool in the shed, but I can't also say that I'm inferior to those who are around me. Perhaps that was the reason why everyone finds themselves distancing away from me.

I've lost everything; my friends, my family, the trusts of those who are around me. I am but an empty shell with fear in her heart. Ever since that accident that robbed me from everything I had, including my left eye, I realized that the world doesn't revolve around me and everything was determined from your  influence. While drowning myself in my self-deprecation, I didn't notice the vehicle that was speeding towards me. I look at it the last minute and closed my eyes, fearing for my life while also accepting the consequences of my own carelessness, I braced myself as the sound around me vanished, until a small sound of gears clanking accompanied by a loud crash. I opened my eyes only for me to see my left hand extend towards the truck that was supposed to crash onto my frail body, but instead of me getting run over, what I saw was a broken truck on the tip of my hand.

This was probably just a delusion, one of those I've experienced recently, but the smell of blood and smoke tells me otherwise that it's real as well as the fact that I'm not returning to the past. As my eyes met what was in front of me, my head started to get light and I lost consciousness before I could even comprehend what just happened.

And as the tale ends in this line, a monotonous sound of gears clanking grew louder and louder until it started to fade into the distance. A light shone through my blurry eyes as I see nothing but a plain of white, there, an eye with its iris resembling gears from a clock, turned with no sign of halting. As it closed, everything went dark and I couldn't remember anything afterwards.
