"Otherwise, grandpa is planning to marry you to Dalna Doppler…" Heima's words resounded in his mind as Jyorta walked on the road, heading towards the skyscraper on the opposite side—the Bone Family's mansion.
Upon entering it, he felt a chill all of a sudden, as if he was about to be devoured by a prehistoric beast. The feeling clawed onto him in an instant, paralysing him, causing him to be slick with sweat.
Without any hesitation, Jyorta unleashed the brunt of his aura, manipulating it to shred apart the sensation. But, just as he had thought it was over, the sensation returned once again, this time, even more powerful.
The image of a beast appeared in his mind, causing him to feel as if he was about to be devoured. Suddenly, the sounds of footsteps resounded in his ears as a man walked towards him, lightly tapping his shoulder, "Welcome back, Jyorta Bone."
Only now did Jyorta flinch, turning around to see that there wasn't anyone behind him. He then looked around, watching a man walking a fair distance away, waving his hand as his voice echoed, "Welcome to the Bone Family Mansion."
'What…the heck…was that?' Jyorta was flabbergasted, wiping the sweat dripping down his face. In the face of that sensation, he was unable to break free from it, pulled into it. Had the effect subsisted for a couple more seconds, then he would have assumed that he had been devoured by a beast.
There was a good chance he would lose his life due to the induced notion.
Aura Personification!
Once he realised it, Jyorta understood just how powerful an Aura Personification was, getting a feeling his foes had experienced under his Hallucination. Shaking his head, he planned to move ahead, only to realise his legs failed to heed his command.
No matter what, they remained rooted to the spot. And when he tried to force himself, Jyorta felt as if there was the maw of a beast around him, ready to clamp him the moment he took a step forward.
This sensation continued to grow in him as Jyorta understood, sensing the fluctuation in his presence, "I'm still the influence of that Aura Personification."
Aura Personification—Hallucination!
Jyorta first replicated the same feeling in his hallucination before erecting a fire of sorts around himself, burning the maws of the prehistoric beast. And, as he burned through it, the fluctuation of his presence stabilised as his mind escaped from the influence.
Within ten seconds, Jyorta was free from the influence, taking a step forward to see that he was no longer affected, 'Even though the effect had vanished, my presence was still affected. So, despite it vanishing, I was still under its effect.'
At this point, the man that had patted his shoulder reached the lift at the end of the massive lobby, extending his index finger to punch the button when his hand paused. His eyes widened in surprise as he pushed the button, entering the lift upon its arrival, "So, this is Jyorta Bone. He's a freaking monster. To have such a powerful mind…as expected of a Pillar Candidate."
"Hah," Jyorta exhaled a deep breath, arriving before the lift as he waited, boarding it upon its arrival. Soon, he reached the second floor from the top, surprised upon seeing a familiar figure, "Uncle Hubert!"
"Oh Jyorta," Hubert Bone exclaimed in surprise before nodding, "Right, it was supposed to be today. Great work out there. I'm proud of you."
"Oh, did you see my Graduation Ceremony?" Jyorta asked in surprise.
"Yes, most of the Bone Family witnessed it," Hubert Bone nodded, "Your actions were stellar there, especially the way you handled the Tier 3 Lava Turtle. Even I got a chill while seeing that."
"Haha, I just used what was available around me," Jyorta laughed sheepishly.
'Not anyone is capable of such unbridled cruelty, even if they were our enemies.' Hubert Bone didn't say it out loud, instead pointing at a room towards the end of the corridor, "Father's waiting for you. Head inside now."
"I'll see you later, uncle." Jyorta waved his hand and reached the end of the corridor, pushing open the door to enter a spacious room. It was a conference room of sorts, the place where the members of the Bone Family had watched Jyorta's Graduation Ceremony.
Currently, sporting a squarely trimmed beard was an old man sporting a mild hunch. He was looking at the screen, reading the information he had collected about the girl whose picture was presented at the side.
Upon seeing Jyovic Bone, Jyorta was just about to greet the old man when his eyes landed on the girl on the screen, frowning, 'That's Dalna Doppler.'
Upon noticing his arrival, Jyovic Bone didn't turn around, staring at the screen as he said, "She's one hell of a talented child. I'm sure she's a great match for you. Her father had contacted me a week ago in regards to this."
Jyorta closed his eyes once, taking in a breath as he opened, gazing at the photo calmly, "So, What's your idea, grandfather?"
"Dalna Doppler is the scion of the Doppler Family. So, her marrying into our family is impossible. The same can be said to you," Jyovic Bone gazed at Jyorta, staring with no hint of emotion in his eyes, "I'll never allow you to marry into any family either. So, this potential engagement falls short at the first step itself."
"Right, it wouldn't have made sense if you had made any promise regarding that. That would mean our deal would fall short." Jyorta spoke as the emotions in his eyes died one after another until there was nothing in them. The Blue Soul had cut them all off.
For a moment, the two people continued to stare at each other before Jyovic Bone said in remark, "If I hadn't seen you a year before, I would have thought you were a different individual. A year ago, you gave me the feeling of a hollow container, but now, you're a container overflowing with substance."
"To think you'll counterattack immediately with our deal on the line," Jyovic Bone laughed, impressed, "Alright, let's cancel this farce."
'An Unranked Skill for our family's Espers is more important. And, Jyorta has a possibility of achieving it before the Saturation Point..' He thought.
