Bibi Dong's body was like a furnace at the moment. It may be due to Ja Sun getting used to Ah Yin's cold touch, but he grew more perceptive to bodily hear. Still, it didn't affect him much. Since he had grown fire and cold resistant to some point after refining his body with Yin-yang core, he didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Meanwhile, Bibi Dong silently set her head over his left arm, a little amazed at how real his silver arm felt.

It was already morning and she had calmed down after sleeping quite a bit. Many thoughts rang in her head. The revelation of her master's past mattered to her more than her origin. Her mother, Redstar, her father, these were all strangers to her and since more than half of these characters are already dead, she could think that it was a pity and nothing more. She also came to the conclusion that her very origin might be the reason why she was taught from such a rational point of view.

The truth of the matter was, for whatever reasons, Qian Xunji treated her well and while he had Bibi Dong's trust and admiration... at this moment, Bibi Dong only admired her master. Her trust was broken. It was only natural. It wasn't because he killed Zhu. Bibi Dong admitted that she hadn't grown cold to this point to betray what little group she felt fortunate to call her friends just for benefits, but she was wholly disappointed by one thing.

That even her master had lost control of his basic desires. Killing... in this world, is simply the kindest choice an opponent can make. There are numerous methods of humiliating one's opponent but not many opt for it. It was clear that in his early years, Qian Xunji opted for these methods and there was no telling if he did even now or not.

"Are you feeling well?" Ja Sun inquired as he opened his eyes to look down. His view was obstructed by her disheveled hair but seeing her nod, Ja Sun smiled.

"I know that it is implied... but just for confirmation's sake, you won't rat me out to your master, right?" Ja Sun inquired and Bibi Dong finally looked up. They were in a greatly intimate position. Ja Sun even had his hips lean back so that his morning wood doesn't really give him out. Looking up, her eyes cold, Bibi Dong gave a slight smile, "What do you think? Maybe I should also rack up my contributions and kill you right now~!"

Although her tone was frivolous, her hand did press on Ja Sun's left chest with her nails almost digging in.

'Going for the heart... what is this sense of deja vu...' Ja Sun was stunned for a moment before he looked at Bibi Dong calmly, "Killing me will only get you a 10000-year-old spirit bone from the Spirit Hall, but letting me live will get you many 10000-year-old spirit bones, and even a crimson ring from the Death Spider Emperor inside the Star Dou Great Forest."

"Benefits don't entice me at the moment," Bibi Dong stated as her nails grew deeper, almost drawing blood through his shirt.

"You do know what happens when a man comes to find something he enjoys, right?" Ja Sun whispered as Bibi Dong's eyes widened. She had a slightly shorter stature when compared to Ja Sun and hurriedly looked down while uncovering the blanket somewhat to let the light get in.

Seeing... something, Bibi Dong's cheeks turned warm and grew red. She hurriedly turned over and snorted while Ja Sun thought for a moment. Nay, he was in a deep thought.

He had only ever flirted with others. Nothing more. It was a limit, for him.

But as he saw Bibi Dong's defenseless back, he carefully considered a question.

'Alright... polygamy is already a thing. Yuehua's father had three wives. But... I don't have to go down this road right? I don't have to marry multiple times, right?

But... would Ah Yin kill me? That's... likely. But she will just bring me back. However... she did hint at it yesterday. In fact, she only seems to have a problem with plants, and my god, she hates roses. Can I try it? No, the more immediate question is if Bibi Dong will really attack me right now... maybe I should set up a few defenses—'

His thoughts came to a sudden end as Bibi Dong scooched over a little to his side despite keeping her back to him.

Ja Sun narrowed his eyes, a little conflicted. As a rational individual, he, of course, wanted to have everything. But it was also his little moments of actual rationality that suggested that it was quite hard. He wasn't the best material in the world so he considered himself fortunate to land Ah Yin.

'I could use the trait to try and find the chances... nah, I promised not to use trait to try and understand human emotions,' Ja Sun's left arm dug under Bibi Dong's shoulder. She let out an uncomfortable grunt until she shifted her body to settle the side of her face on his arm. Meanwhile, Ja Sun embraced her shoulders and pulled her close. Meanwhile, his right arm coiled over Bibi Dong's waist and pulled her hips closer to his. Although his morning wood now brushed against her very comfortable butt, Ja Sun let out a soft sigh of relief. Finally, Bibi Dong hugged his arms silently.

There was a strange emotion in her eyes. But she couldn't help but feel extremely relaxed at this moment.

"What... will you say to Ah Yin?" Bibi Dong finally inquired.

"Are you kidding me? You're going to be the one who says anything to her. I'm completely satisfied by not talking," Ja Sun's words made Bibi Dong roll her eyes. She already knew that when it really mattered, especially in fatal situations, and political ones, Ja Sun would be her greatest ally and support but on other matters...

"What an irresponsible man!" She scowled.

But feeling his warm breath ticker her ear before feeling his peck on the side of her head, she couldn't help but grow silent again.

---

"Hey, are you feeling well!" Hu Lana suddenly barged into the infirmary. Seeing Bibi Dong silently sit beside Ja Sun as he laid under the blanket, Hu Lana couldn't help but grow a little disappointed. She was clearly hoping to barge into something spicier.

Others entered after her. Ah Yin went over to Ja Sun before casually pecking him on the lips as she unconsciously glanced at Bibi Dong only to find the woman looking at her. On the other hand, Jun'er's nose twitched. She suspiciously looked towards Bibi Dong and then Ja Sun. A hesitant look on her face before she breathed deeply to recollect herself.

"What's the match-up today?" Bibi Dong inquired calmly.

"We're facing the Wind Sword Sect," Xie Xan replied. In Bibi Dong's and Ja Sun's absence, he, Ah Yin, and Liu Erlong are almost equal in strength. Liu Erlong avoided these matters as a plague and Ah Yin didn't participate, too. So all of it fell on Xie Xan's lap.

"Hmm... how many groups have contacted us?" Bibi Dong inquired as Oscar chuckled, "All of them. They clearly think that our chances of winning are close to a guarantee so we need to show that our victory was mostly attributed to Brother Ka-ul."

Xie Xan and others nodded.

"Alright, let's return to office. We have a lot of things to do," Bibi Dong sighed. Everyone stood up to leave but seeing Ja Sun remain where he was, they gazed at him strangely. Bibi Dong looked away in embarrassment as she felt Ah Yin's stare while Ja Sun shrugged, "For technical reasons... I refrain from moving. Give me a few minutes... it will eventually allow me to move."

Xie Xan and Oscar gave him the 'you know what' look while Hu Lana covered her parting lips with her hand as she gazed at Ja Sun and Bibi Dong back and forth.

"I will be waiting in the office!" Bibi Dong was the first to leave.

"Sister Dong~ Is there something you aren't telling me?" Hu Lana chased instantly, Jun'er following with a determined expression. Liu Erlong looked at Ja Sun, a little sour before snorting coldly and walking out as Tang Yuehua felt a little awkward.

"Well... you're dead," Xie Xan uttered as he looked at Ah Yin and hurriedly pulled Oscar out.

"In my defense," Ja Sun looked at Ah Yin.

"Oh? There is a defense? I'm sure you thought that I wouldn't mind," Ah Yin stated coldly.

"Do you?" Ja Sun inquired sincerely.

"Well... I equally hate pests—"

"Actually, spider clear pests instead," Ja Sun remarked but feeling Ah Yin's gaze turn colder, he smirked.

"You're... enjoying this?" Ah Yin inquired, a little confused. She felt that she still hadn't given herself away. After all, plant or not, women or not, there should be a period of coaxing only if she actually shows that she needs it through these actions.

"No, I just thought that you and Bibi Dong have quite a few similarities," Ja Sun chuckled, "But I still prefer your mean gaze."

'And her hips...' Ja Sun agreed internally.

Closing the door behind her and reaching towards Ja Sun with great strides, she flung away the blanket only to be shocked.

"You... lied?"

"Yep, erection jokes are one of the best," Ja Sun shrugged and got up before pulling Ah Yin into a hug as he kissed her.

"As for Bibi Dong..."

Ja Sun spoke calmly. He stated everything truthfully because compared to the many things they have shared, this instance didn't even come close to the level of secrecy required.

"I see... so you are easy to seduce."

Ah Yin still found a way to get angry.

---

Everything returned to normal on the surface since they had a lot of things to do. Especially for Bibi Dong. She decided to avoid her master until the end of the competition or until she finds out what to do with the information she had received from Ja Sun. She simultaneously recalled how Qian Daoliu had imparted Ja Sun with the knowledge that would simply allow him to create an organization. Back then, she didn't think too deeply about it but the more she thought now, the more she felt that Qian Daoliu only gave this legacy to Ja Sun fully knowing his identity and also predicting its use should his identity ever get known by Qian Xunji.

This also gave her a few ideas but years of mentorship still made Bibi Dong feel that she would need to confront her master about these facts before deciding on anything. However, one look at Ja Sun calmed her down again. She needed to be smart about this and had to think from Qian Xunji's point of view, too.

If one day, her own disciple that she had nurtured to hand over the Spirit Hall to showed signs of rebellion intentionally or unintentionally, what would she do?

The more Bibi Dong thought how she would act, the colder her heart grew because her master was anything but less cruel than her. Her teammates had mostly seen her 'kind' side but she was far from it. Although she could hold feelings of romance, her capacity of vengeance is quite stirring, too.

'I need to carefully cover all my bases... I need to find out more...' Bibi Dong sighed.

It took three hours to settle all the transactions. Once the resources were promised to be provided and attained, everyone except Ja Sun left the office to enter the viewer's area to observe matches. Bibi Dong dutifully let out the news of Ja Sun being extremely injured.

Meanwhile, left in the office, Ja Sun kicked back and took out a sapphire Tetrahedron.

This was something he received from the Heaven Dou Empire.

The Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud.

Ja Sun silently observed the situation when a knock interrupted his observation.

"Just slide it from under the door," Ja Sun replied calmly.

A green pendant slid from under the door and the figure on the other side of the door calmly walked away. Seeing the Sigh of Immortal, Ja Sun brought it close to him and heaved a deep sigh of relief.

Ordinarily, it would have been hard for him to cover up the loss of his spirit energy but he had this divine artifact.

Now equipping himself with the Sigh of Immortal, Ja Sun let his stored spirit energy fill his body at the same rate at which it escaped.

"Now that my supply for Spirit Energy is restored," Ja Sun took a deep breath before setting the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud in front of him. Within the crystal object, Ja Sun felt that the reflective surface was similar to how the sea would reflect light.

At this moment, Ja Sun controlled his spirit energy to bring about a golden brown array in the form of a luxurious furnace that surrounded the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud.

Last night, the customary observation of the artifact had not gained him any great details. According to Redstar, one needed to drop their blood on the Spirit Essence tool to finally activate its use. Although the spirit masters at large are unaware of its uses, Redstar merely knew one of its uses. But its value was clearly not as great as the three essence tools that could greatly boost the empire's economy or the Empire would not have agreed to such a bet.

The Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud began to float. Ja Sun would have dripped his blood on the artifact before but now, he wanted to wait until his injury was healed to be prepared for any other sudden incident.

"Set Mission."

[Set Perimeters.]

"Systematically break down the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud to find out its formation and blueprint.

Additional Objectives:

1) Complete the task in 60 minutes.

2) Complete the task in 30 minutes.

3) Complete the task in 10 minutes.

4) Complete the task in 1 minute."

Ja Sun was quite confident in his abilities. So it came as a great surprise to him when even the basic objective wasn't created.

Seeing this, Ja Sun touched the Sigh of Immortal. He had once tried to break this artifact down, too, but his trait thought otherwise. There are a few reasons he thought that could cause this. First, even with all his abilities, he still wasn't equipped with anything remotely good enough to break it down. Second, the artifact itself had a quality greater than anything that should be present in the continent.

The War God's Cauldron is one of the greatest, if not the best, refining array. The War God himself is known to be a maniac with divine talent in wars and refinement, particularly smithing.

Thinking for a moment, Ja Sun moved the War God's Cauldron on himself and took out the Vajra Iron Ore, and refined it into his gauntlets. The advancement was meager, but it was still something. After all, his level of Gauntlets and physique were now hard to improve easily.

Once done, Ja Sun also set objectives which came out to be D-ranked missions to refine the sword and the crown for more materials that he stored away. Once he was done with all this, Ja Sun glanced at the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud and silently stored it into his ring. Instead, he took out the Heaven's Carving Technique and began to study it.

His latest project was none other than the formation of guns and other firearms that used spirit energy itself. So, learning a carving technique to channel spirit energy was a time spent well.

Of course, Ja Sun set a mission again. To gain the best of his trait, he needed to take initiative constantly.

The Heaven's Carving Technique wasn't easy to learn but it wasn't too hard either, which turned out to be a B-ranked mission finally spanning over three days.

---

As Ja Sun promised, he didn't participate in battles eagerly. Not every battle would bring him great gains and greedily trying to destroy other teams quickly will only make it harder for him to gain benefits from the other side of the completion— bets.

Ja Sun used the knowledge attained from Redstar greatly. He was privy to many resources that various factions kept to themselves. Although the act of demanding these resources would surely alert them of a hidden spy, but it didn't matter to Ja Sun. It would only destroy Redstar's work.

Even with all the avoidance, Bibi Dong had to meet with Qian Xunji. This time, she took her entire time, even being a little 'coy' as to have others greet the Supreme Pontiff but Ja Sun could easily feel her restraint. Although she was being smart about her situation, the more Bibi Dong kept it suppressed, the greater her emotions would twist and explode out finally. As for his own relationship with Bibi Dong, well, they avoided the topic for now.

Ja Sun still wasn't an ass enough to distract Bibi Dong from her greater ambitions and after the passing of moment, Bibi Dong, too, felt that given her situation, her energy was better spent over creating various bases of interests so that once she finally confronts Qian Xunji, she wouldn't be blindsided because of her emotions.

Meanwhile, Ja Sun kept himself cooped up in the office itself. He requested Ah Yin to cover one corner with vines of blue silver variants and hid behind it. Constantly creating missions, learning new things, and studying the rewards. He entered a cycle of reward and quest generation.

But he did keep his thoughts on the outside world, too. He had gained many things from his bets placed through the name of Spirit Hall.

The Fire Leopard Crystal, the Meteor Sword now covered in rust, the Red Lover's Scarf, The broken Mask of Million Faces... and many more almost useless Spirit Essence Tools.

A rumor had already spread that a strange collector was present within the ranks of Spirit Hall that wished for these things but those privy to the situation knew that it was Qian Daoliu's disciple itself who continuously made use of Bibi Dong's winning streak.

5 more days have passed since their match with the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy and finally, the Spirit Academy picked an empty slot. Due to the odd number of teams, every day, one team will pick a freebie. Their group's thirteenth match was a freebie.

Until now, only the Spirit Academy, the Clear Sky Sect's main team, the Star Luo Imperial Academy, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect, and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect had maintained the winning streak of 13 matches. Every other team had lost at least once.

These five teams also became the most popular team.

The Spirit Academy had a great reputation and although Bibi Dong feigned weakness again, they could start to win matches a bit easier with Xie Xan's addition. Even though they won every match, the other team would have no thought of not betting resources. Every faction doesn't fear losses. This was a divine opportunity and every team asked for many special resources from the Spirit Hall. If any of them won, they would easily solidify and deepen their foundation.

Almost everyone traded in knowledge and information, after all. Nobody was greedy enough to demand a Spirit Bone. They didn't hold the more exotic spirit essence tools in a high pedestal and only wished for blueprints of better storage-type essence tools that could even store human life. This blueprint was strictly held by Spirit Hall and its formation was extremely hard but Ja Sun would entice others with this blueprint many times.

This way, the public continued to be satisfied due to various battles.

The factions continued to be satisfied due to the resources they earned daily!

This was a one-time opportunity since the two Empires would certainly not let Spirit Hall organize such a redistribution of resources again so every Faction felt that these thirty-three days would be the greatest moment of the decade!

Finally, on the fourteenth day, two of the most popular team would clash against each other.

The Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.
