Chapter 38 Small Talk
The dungeon hall in the afternoon.
The hall is empty.
At this time, most of the explorers were still fighting in the dungeon.
On the teleportation platform, Kane appeared with Clea.
Through the stone house.
The clerk, who had nothing to do, immediately ran over when he saw Kane and the others.
“What happened? Do you need help?” There were only two of them, and the centauress was floating. It was obvious that she was seriously injured.
Seeing the clerk’s warmheartedness, Kane thanked him. “Thank you, but there’s no need. Our lives are not in danger. We can do this ourselves.”
The clerk nodded. “Then I won’t disturb you. Let’s go to the hospital. It’s just at the side.” He pointed in the direction of the hospital and made way for them.
He led Clea quickly to the hospital entrance.
“Come with me!”
As soon as they reached the entrance, a young nurse immediately led Kane and the others away.
The hospital beside the dungeon was basically created by the council.
Every time a dungeon appeared, the council would build a few basic facilities at the entrance.
The teleportation stone, connected to the nearest teleportation network, quickly allowed the needed explorers to come and go.
The Council station was responsible for all aspects of the dungeon.
Basic material needs usually involved setting up a sentry post to draw merchants over.
These merchants would open shops, and the council would only have to control the price and quality.
Finally, there was the hospital. Explorers were dangerous professions to begin with. If they could not be treated as quickly as possible, their survival rate would drop further.
He followed the nurse to a large treatment room. It seemed that the facilities were basically for the large intelligent races.
It must be said that the hospital beside the dungeon had really considered all aspects.
As soon as Kane and the others arrived, an upright vulpera in a doctor’s uniform rushed
in.
The sharp voice shouted, “Where’s the patient? Hurry up and carry her up here!”
Kane immediately controlled the transparent stretcher and placed Clea on it.
Doctor Fox wore a monocle and examined the centauress’ arm.
After checking, she made a judgment. “There’s not much of a problem. Put some medicine on your ankle. With the physique of an Explorer, you can recover tomorrow. Both arms are fractured. Treat them now and they’ll be fine tomorrow.”
With that, a bubble emitting a faint green light appeared in her hand.
Wrapping the bubble around Clea’s arms and ankles, the bubble wobbled on her limbs, looking ready to burst.
Clea didn’t dare move, afraid she’d accidentally pop the bubble.
After doing this, the fox immediately turned around and left.
The nurse beside immediately explained, “I’m sorry, but a few more patients just came. Let me tell you what to take note of.”
Kane shook his head, showing that he had no concern.
The hospital beside the dungeon was completely understandable.
“These bubbles are tough. They heal injuries continuously. When they disappear, it means you’re healed.”
Clea let out a relieved breath. She’d been afraid of accidentally bursting the bubbles.
“Do you feel anything about your injuries?”
He was a little curious about the bubbles on the centauress.
Clea thought for a moment. “It tickles a little. It feels cool. It should still help to ease the
pain.”
During their conversation, her ankle was no longer swollen.
When the nurse beside her saw this, she reminded her, “You can come down and walk slowly now. The physique of an Explorer is really enviable.”
Clea immediately moved down and paced around the treatment room.

“The physique of an Explorer is far greater than that of an ordinary person, and the recovery speed of his injuries is definitely far faster than that of an ordinary person.”
He helped Clea slowly to the front desk.
He handed the note that the nurse had given him to the front desk.
“20 gold coins.”
The nurse at the front desk didn’t even look up from the note she was holding. She continued to write.
“The fee on the note is marked. You can feel it with your hand.”
She was familiar, as if she had explained it countless times.
He placed the gold coins on the counter and walked away slowly with the centauress.
He pushed open the thick wooden door of the Great Golden Tooth Tavern.
At this moment, the tavern was as empty as the dungeon hall.
At the bar, the dwarf sleeping on his stomach opened his eyes and waved quickly when he saw that it was Kane and the others.
Kane and Clea sat down beside the bar.
Burton immediately discovered the bubbles on the centauress’ hand.
“Clea, you’re hurt.”
He handed over the two glasses of juice he had just brought over.
Clea took the juice and smiled. “It’s nothing serious. I’ll be fine tomorrow.”
He thought that the only person who could injure Kane and the others was the leader of the first stage.
“You guys cleared level five?”
Burton stared at Kane.
Kane nodded and told Burton briefly how his team had cleared Level 5.
“How impressive. Really can’t compare to young people these days.” As if opening a conversation, Burton suddenly began to talk about his past experiences as an Explorer.
As he spoke, Kane suddenly realized that something was wrong.
Staring at Burton, he wondered, “You said it took a lot of time just on the road, when exploring the dungeon at that time?”
If Kane remembered correctly, it was written in the Explorer Class Guide that the teleportation network was fully laid down 230 years ago.
Five years later it pretty much covered all the dungeons, and Burton said he’d relied on foot or transportation in his youth.
“What’s so strange about that?” Burton was puzzled by his question.
“So how old are you now?”
“Didn’t I tell you?” Seeing Kane shake his head, he replied, “Okay, I’m just getting into my old age. I’m 655.” ????
That’s right. This is an alternate world, a world of stitched monsters.
Didn’t all the works in my previous life say that dwarves are a long-lived race? With that thought, Kane knew it was his habitual thinking.
The small town of Kara was full of ordinary humans and basically no Outsiders. Kane had only been out for a short time and hadn’t cared about these problems.
He looked at the centauress beside him.
Clea saw Kane looking at her and met his gaze questioningly. What about it?
“I just wanted to ask how old you are.” Kane’s curiosity was piqued.
Fortunately, Clea didn’t think there was anything wrong with being asked about age. “I’m thirty-two, I think,” she replied.
“I thought you said you’d just come of age.”
Remembering Kane’s earlier conversation with her and combining it with his current expression, Clea immediately understood.

As if seeing through his doubts, she began to explain, “Halflings only reach adulthood at the age of 30. The average lifespan of halflings is 400 to 500 years. They belong to the longer-lived races among the intelligent races.
And the dwarfs were a true long-lived race, with an average lifespan of about 800 to 1,000 years.
As for humans, they did not belong to a long-lived race. The average lifespan was 180 to 250 years. Of course, there were races with lower life spans than humans.
And the lifespan of an Explorer will increase according to strength.”
The Dwarf saw Clea’s briefing and immediately understood that Kane might come from a more isolated place. In fact, he had never seen any other alternate races before.
