'Another one!?'

Within his body, Zeus focused his mind on the orb floating just in front of him.

'No doubt about it, this is the wind element.'

But why does he have it?

Once, he read a book containing knowledge about the aether. According to it, once a person awakened their aether, it was always accompanied by one element.

Generally, a person could only awaken one. However, it seemed like he's one of those people who has an innate double element.

'This is rare, isn't it?'

Zeus burst out in joy as he grabbed the orb with a tight grip. Instantly, he felt a tearing pain from his hand, trying to rip his hands apart.

But, his will and tenacity were just too much to be shaken.

At that moment, the system interface flashed before his eyes.

[You have awakened the Wind Element.]

As expected, it's another element. Although not as destructive as lightning, the wind element would surely have its own perks and it wouldn't lose to his lightning element.

The wind escaped his palm and traveled into the path where his lightning element also traversed. Zeus followed it and they came across this massive glass ball.

'This is actually happening huh.'

In front of him, two elements circled this ball like a moth to a flame. As his gaze delved deeper into this ball, he noticed that all aether scattered in his body came from this. It's like the power supply supporting everything together.

'It's over now right?' Zeus asked himself. To make sure, he went back to the door but there were no orbs anymore. The hope of a triple element didn't come.

'Sigh, let's just leave.'

At that moment, Zeus slowly opened his eyes, satisfaction evident in his grayish eyes.

"Is it over?" Duke Kayn's voice jolted him awake from his daze.

"Yeah."

Raising his hand, golden lightning enveloped it.

Duke Kayn nodded with a hint of admiration.

"Yes, this is the lightning element. Seems like you have a talent in sorcery too."

"I got lucky." Zeus smiled, shrugging his head cheekily. As of now, he still felt the adrenaline and excitement coursing through his countenance.

Hearing his words, Duke Kayn chuckled. He ruffled Zeus' hair and patted him on his shoulders.

"You have a bright future ahead. Seeing you not getting full of yourself makes me happy. Many people who have awakened a cardinal element as their first element turned into brainless fools."

"Well, I'm not going to be satisfied until I'm the strongest in the world." Zeus smiled softly, revealing his seemingly impossible goal.

"The strongest huh? You know that with the current you, it's impossible. Dying is maybe the easy part of your goal. Of course, as you're part of the family now, I'll support you no matter what you do."

The words of Duke Kayn made Zeus remember a certain memory.

Zeus muttered, "Even if I die, it's alright. At least, I died trying. But it wouldn't stop me because If I don't have the courage to pursue this dream, there's no need to train. It would be better to lie down in bed and wait for death."

Duke Kayn was stunned. He didn't think that he would hear these words from a child. As he remembered his children, no one came close to maturity like this young man.

All of them gave him endless problems.

'It's really hard to be a parent.'

However, that's the beauty of the family. Although their Ambrose House was small compared to the other Duke Houses, as they are united with bond, their family was the most peaceful.

He has maintained this peace throughout the years and all of his people are very happy to be part of his family. Even then, his children seemed much more attached to their mother than him.

'Maybe I was too strict?' He thought.

Never in his life had he heard them say that they love their father. It might be a little petty but he's getting jealous whenever they come home to the manor and greet him with respect while with their mother, they seem happy and comfortable.

He was known as a wise man. A sage with wisdom above others. He made his enemies tremble by his sheer intelligence alone.

But, in front of his children, he could never understand them.

All of his achievements are for them. His lessons and harsh words are only for their own good. He hoped that they wouldn't stray from the path he chose for them.

However, perhaps, he's wrong from the very start. He carved the path for them, not even bothering if they wanted to walk to it.

He didn't give his children the free will to choose whatever they wanted to be. He never asked them what their dream was and who they saw themselves looking like in the future.

At the end of the day, it's his fault as he forced them to walk the path he chose for them and not the path they chose for themselves.

Their mother is the only comfort they have as she understood them better than he could.

"You wanted to be the strongest. Is that really the dream you want?" Duke Kayn looked at the young man before his eyes.

Although taken aback, Zeus nodded.

"I believe you."

"Huh?"

Duke Kayn smiled gently, "I believe you're going to be one."

"That's…so random." Zeus lowered his head in embarrassment. His cheeks flushed from the sudden change of mood. He felt overwhelmed by the sudden burst of emotions. In the end, only two words came out of his mouth.

"Thank you."

At that moment, Duke Kayn turned around and walked away.

"Let's go back."

Looking at the sturdy back, Zeus smiled.

"Yeah."

[ The rest of the status was either currently locked or unawakened.]

Zeus viewed his stats with a curious look. He doesn't really need it as there is no way to earn stat points aside from training. Still, it gave him a better measurement of how strong he currently was.

'I'll check the shop later.'

He wanted to browse it but the area he was in was too dangerous not to be on guard. Closing his status window, Zeus hastened his pace and stood beside Duke Kayn.

At that moment, his ears perked up.

Swish—

'Huh?' Zeus tilted his head.

Swish—

After his perception was enhanced by the mist, he could perceive even better. That's why the sound of moving bushes and the wind brushing on his skin didn't escape his perception.

Swish—

'There are monsters.'

The moment he thought of it, Duke Kayn's arm blocked him from moving forward.

"Stop. There's an unwanted visitor." He said.

Zeus frowned.

If there's really a monster here, it is surely in the realm of the 5th Order. That's not something he could contend. Even then, he grabbed his staff and readied himself in a defensive position. At the same time, he cast 'Enhance', increasing his strength further.

Swish—

Tension accumulated throughout the vicinity. Sweats trickled down his forehead as Zeus waited for the monster to come.

"Afraid?"

Zeus shook his head.

"Don't worry. You won't die." Duke Kayn said as assurance.

"I'm not afraid."

"Is that true? Very well, I like your courage but it won't help us. Run after it attacks, got that?"

"Yeah."

At that moment, as if it found the right time to show up, the sound gradually diminished before the huge bushes at the Duke's right wiggled.

Step—, step—

Then, a giant shadow blocked the sunlight and appeared before their eyes. It's a giant creature towering over 10 meters tall. Standing at a height of over a 4 story house made the creature even more intimidating.

It has the body of a gorilla and was covered in thick black fur. On its head, two horns protruded. However, one of them looked broken. Its giant dark eyes stared at the two of them with a hint of malice.

Adrenaline pumped inside his body. Feeling the unconcealed aura from the monster, Zeus' legs trembled not in fear but by the heaviness of its presence.

The monster opened its mouth, showing 4 large fangs that were even taller than his staff.

"Afraid?"

"A little bit." Zeus said truthfully.

"Hehe, it would be strange if you're not."

"Can you beat it?" Zeus asked solemnly.

Hearing his question, a playful smirk formed on Duke Kayn's lips.

At the same time, a powerful battle spirit exploded out of his body.
