Red eyes could be seen in front of him, glowing in the darkness. His eyes had already adapted better to the dark since he arrived at this place and with his eyes fixed on the glint of the eye, he could see the silhouette of the creature, it looked very much like a wolf or a dog. Huel started to take small steps backwards and realized that whatever was in front of him stopped moving forward and was circling him.

Suddenly, as he put all his attention on the enemy in sight, he heard a growl behind him and instinctively dodged a wolf that jumped up to attack him.

He was almost caught by the blow, he broke into a cold sweat with the feeling of adrenaline, there were two pairs of red eyes in front of him now, and there could still be a third, or maybe four...

Huel pushed that thought away and straightened his posture, he had to survive, he didn't want to die there. When the two wolves got closer, he managed to get a better view of them, also due to his eyes, which during the conversation with the strange being just now, adapted to the dark. The wolves were large and had very thick black fur, as well as very large claws.

Holding his scythe even more tightly, he waited for the wolves to attack him. It crossed his mind that the idea of letting them attack him first might be useful to him, maybe attack them while they were jumping. But that obviously depended on luck, and what if he couldn't dodge it, or worse, what if they both attacked at the same time?

Once again the wolf leapt forward and missed, Huel's scythe passed right through the wolf's body in the air, its speeds were unparalleled. The other wolf surrounded him from afar, and then the second enemy began to do the same.

At this moment he stopped and took a deep breath, if what he was thinking was right, he could win, and at this moment he really wanted to be right. Even though they were twice the size of any wolf he had ever seen, like any other animal, they were slaves to their own instincts.

'They will surround me, and they will do the same as they did until now, when I open my guard, they will attack me'

He held the scythe a little weaker and slammed it to the ground, the wolf spotted a breach in Huel's action, and, as expected, attacked him. He held his scythe tighter and raised his arms quickly, while the wolf was in mid-leap, with claws pointed, Huel stabbed him, the half moon shape was not the best for this, but he managed it somehow, blood was flowing from his hands, as he had been wounded by the wolf while performing the action, but the adrenaline of the situation did not allow him to feel pain yet, as he knew he was not alone.

At the same moment the other grunted loudly and went to attack him, this time he had not yet jumped, he was protecting the other as expected. The scythe was taken from the body of the other wolf and pointed it at what was coming towards him, the wolf jumped and Huel managed to block the claws with his scythe, at the same moment punching the creature with his free hand, which was also the one he'd hurt just before, a pain erupted through him, but he held on. The wolf fell to the ground not far from the impact of the punch, it was just below Huel's legs, who stabbed this one as he did the other, and repeating the process until he was sure he was dead.

The other wolf, who grunted during the fight, had also died of blood loss, which Huel also thought was going to happen to him, maybe he was exaggerating, but he was sure he would die of an infection if he didn't take care of the cut. Enduring that pain without screaming was agonizing for him.

Two small spheres of a light purple color appeared, floating above the two dead wolves, they were almost transparent but gave off a faint light.

Huel didn't approach them, he just looked at them and thought what they were, among thousands of possibilities, a specific thought crossed his mind.

'Soul'

And at this moment a message box appeared in front of him.
