When she arrived at the university, Chi Shuyan got out of the taxi and realized that it was still early. She was about to enter the school, when a familiar, inconspicuous luxury car suddenly stopped in front of her and blocked her way. The window rolled down to reveal a man’s cold, hard profile and tight jaw. From the side, his face was sharp, serious and gloomy, and looked unapproachable.
Chi Shuyan looked up and saw the very familiar man. She was stumped, but only for a moment, before she came back to her senses.
Recalling last night, Chi Shuyan didn’t plan to dwell on it, nor did she care if the man was here for her or something else. She nodded politely at him and planned to go around the car.
At that moment, two excited voices rang out not far away. “Master, Master Chi! Over here, we’re over here!”
Wei Panyang and Jiang Duo spoke one after another.
When Chi Shuyan heard someone calling her, she subconsciously turned around and saw Wei Panyang and Jiang Duo standing not far away with excited expressions.
Fortunately, it was still early and there was no one at the gate, so no one heard these two brats call her “Master Chi.” She was a little puzzled. The matter had already been resolved, so why were these two brats still looking for her?
The two boys quickly ran toward her when they saw her. They were so enthusiastic that she couldn’t hide even if she wanted to.
She could only stop in her tracks. She was about to ask the two boys what was wrong, when two slightly heavy bags were stuffed into her hands.
Before Chi Shuyan could see what was in the two bags, she heard Wei Panyang say enthusiastically and solicitously, “Master Chi, have you eaten breakfast yet? I prepared this for you. I’ll bring this to you every day from now on! Call me if you want to eat anything! I’ll personally bring it over right away!”
Wei Panyang patted his chest enthusiastically.
After Wei Panyang finished speaking, Jiang Duo didn’t fall behind and hurriedly said solicitously, “Me too, me too, Master Chi. These are all fruits I specially bought for you. I’ll bring them to you every day from now on! Call me and tell me what fruits you like to eat, and I’ll personally bring them over right away!”
Jiang Duo wanted to thank her for the Nourishment Pills from last time, but he couldn’t say anything in public. What if someone heard and learned how useful the Nourishment Pill was?
So, Jiang Duo struggled as he tried not to mention anything about the Nourishment Pill or Chi Shuyan’s online shop.
Chi Shuyan was startled by the overly enthusiastic and solicitous behavior of the two boys in front of her. She was focused on talking to the two of them and had long forgotten about the man in the car behind her, so she didn’t see his extremely gloomy and ugly expression.

Chi Shuyan really hadn’t eaten breakfast, but no matter how she looked at it, she felt that the two boys in front of her were too solicitous. She couldn’t stand their enthusiasm. She said, “I appreciate your kindness. I’ll take breakfast and the fruits today, but I really don’t need you to send them over every day. It’s too troublesome!”
Jiang Duo beamed cheerfully. “It’s no trouble, no trouble at all. Master Chi, you don’t know, but when my parents found out that I was coming over to give you fruits, my father gave me a lot of money.”
After a pause, Jiang Duo quickly continued, “Master Chi, you don’t know, but you’re my lucky star. Ever since I met you, my pocket money has increased more and more, and I can’t spend it all!”
Speaking of pocket money, Jiang Duo sighed. In the past, he disliked the fact that he had too little, but now, he disliked the fact that he had too much money and didn’t know how to spend it. His father, in particular, knew that Jiang Duo wanted to curry favor with Master Chi, and was very generous. According to his father, if Master Chi lacked anything, Jiang Duo had to immediately buy it for her. The last thing Jiang Duo’s family lacked was money. It wasn’t a problem to give Master Chi shark’s fin, abalone, and bear paws every day.
However, Jiang Duo still had some sense and knew that he couldn’t spend money to curry favor with Master Chi like he did with everyone else in the past. He had to put in effort. He was really grateful to Master Chi for saving his grandfather’s life and his own. Since Wei Panyang had dibs on breakfast, he would give her some good fruits. Master Chi definitely wouldn’t accept anything too precious.
As soon as Jiang Duo spoke, Wei Panyang hurriedly continued solicitously without waiting for Chi Shuyan to say anything. “That’s right, Master Chi, you’re also my lucky star. Ever since I met you, my luck has gotten better and better! Also, I think the world is even more beautiful now!”
The more she listened to the two boys, the more exaggerated they became. These words gave her goosebumps all over. If she had known that these two boys would speak such nonsense, she would have ducked into the university to hide. Afraid of what they would say next, she hurriedly found an excuse and had them leave first.
Fortunately, the two boys were still obedient and listened to her. Before they left, however, Wei Panyang didn’t forget to say, “Master Chi, thank you for helping us escape death. I, Wei Panyang, promise to send you breakfast every day from now on. Master Chi, don’t worry, I always do as I say!”
Chi Shuyan was rendered speechless. When she wanted to call out to him again, he had already run away. She really hoped that Wei Panyang was just exaggerating, and wouldn’t give her breakfast every day in the future.
After the two left, Chi Shuyan looked at the breakfast which Wei Panyang had given her and saw that it was a tall stack of boxes. She couldn’t tell what kind of breakfast it was, but why was there so much for one person?
Chi Shuyan blinked. Fine, this could be considered the boys’ good intentions. Chi Shuyan decided to accept it this time, and prepared to enter the university with the two bags.
The man, who was originally sitting in the car, got out and stood upright in front of the car. He was wearing a black trench coat and there was something inexplicably oppressive about his tall figure. She hadn’t been focused on him earlier, but now that he was in front of her, she had no choice but to look at him, and she saw the dark bags under the man’s eyes.
Not only did this man have dark bags under his eyes, they were bloodshot and his face was filled with exhaustion. He probably hadn’t slept the entire night. Without waiting for Chi Shuyan to speak, the man said in a deep voice, “Can we talk?”
Chi Shuyan: …
“Where did you go last night?”
