Qi Yunxuan panicked when he saw his brother glancing over. He moved to block the screen, thinking that his brother really was going to find trouble with the shop’s Master.
Qi Hao immediately brushed Qi Yunxuan aside. His eyes widened and his head leaned forward to take a closer look at it over and over again. His mouth was half-open as he pointed at the page and stuttered, “You… You bought it from here?”
“Were we all tricked by the same person?” Wang Xuewen saw Qi Hao’s petrified expression and also went over, but when he saw the page clearly, he was dumbfounded and bewildered for a moment. “Isn’t this Sister-in-law’s shop? It isn’t a scammer’s shop.”
Struck by realization, Qi Hao and Wang Xuewen suddenly snapped back to their senses. They both looked menacingly at the box of “treasure talismans” in Qi Yunxuan’s hands.
Qi Yunxuan looked at the two, and knew how vile their characters could be. He thought they hadn’t given up and wanted to destroy the talismans. Frightened, he tightened his grip on the box in his arms and almost cried with anxiety. “Brother, Brother Xuewen, these are real talismans. Ask Yunchang if you don’t believe me.”
Qi Hao and Wang Xuewen looked at each other with mixed feelings. They touched their noses, looking somewhat embarrassed and also a bit guilty. They recalled how they had solemnly swore and pointed at this box of genuine talismans which they said was fake, and they looked at Qi Yunxuan’s box of talismans with some envy. This kid had heaven-defying luck!
They had tried so hard and hadn’t gotten anything, but this kid had a pile.
…
Chi Shuyan examined Zheng Shujun with some surprise. Her face was flushed and her complexion had gradually improved. Chi Shuyan stared at Zheng Shujun until the girl’s hair stood on end, and only then did she confirm that the wisps of black mist on Zheng Shujun’s back had almost dissipated, as if the luck-borrowing spell had broken.
Could it be that Zheng Shujun met some expert Master? Or had the Warlock died? Or did Feng Yanli finally grow a conscience?
When Chi Shuyan asked, she found out that Zheng Shujun hadn’t even dared go out recently, so she naturally couldn’t have encountered any opportunities or Masters.

Chi Shuyan frowned slightly. This was supposed to be a good thing and she wanted to be relieved for Zheng Shujun, but at the same time, her left eyelid inexplicably twitched, making her heart jump and her chest tight.
“Shuyan, what’s wrong?” Ever since Zheng Shujun found out about Chi Shuyan’s abilities last time, she firmly believed in her. Seeing her pale face, she thought something was wrong.
Chi Shuyan suppressed her twitchiness and smiled placatingly at the puzzled Zheng Shujun. “It’s fine.” But before she left, she still did a divination for Zheng Shujun.
On the road, Chi Shuyan stared into space and pressed her twitching left and right eyelids. Why was it an empty divination? And this time, even direct contact didn’t work. While her thoughts were in a knot, she didn’t even notice a car pulling up beside her. Why was it an empty divination again?
“Shuyan, Shuyan, what are you doing, standing by the side of the road?” The window rolled down to reveal a delicate, fair face. Feng Yanli smiled brightly at Chi Shuyan and waved at her as if nothing was wrong between the two of them.
Chi Shuyan promptly restrained her emotions and glanced coldly at Feng Yanli before ignoring her and walking ahead.
“Hey, hey, don’t go! Shuyan!” Feng Yanli hurriedly got out of the car and ran toward Chi Shuyan. She grabbed her arm and lowered her head with an expression that evoked sympathy. Sobbing a little, she said, “Shuyan, don’t ignore me. I truly know I was wrong. Only after I lost you as a friend did I realize what regret is. Although I have many friends, they’re all scoundrels, unlike you who cared for me wholeheartedly. I – I was terribly mistaken.”
Chi Shuyan raised her eyebrows and sneered. They came to apologize one after another; this was really too much of a coincidence. Recalling how Gao Lingxue had touched her, and looking at the pretentious Feng Yanli in front of her, Chi Shuyan was lost in thought. When it came to certain people who courted death, she felt that she should do her best to fulfill their wishes, for fear that they wouldn’t be able to sleep at night.
Naturally, she couldn’t feel relieved about the two perpetrators who harmed her so deeply in her past life. One eyebrow arched sarcastically. She had originally been concerned about karma, but now, she had nothing to worry about. After all, she wasn’t so magnanimous as to forgive a despicable person easily.
Feng Yanli rambled on and on about their past relationship, looking utterly remorseful and guilty. She apologized sincerely and wept profusely. Seeing that Chi Shuyan remained unmoved, her heart burned with hatred, but it didn’t show on her face at all. She wiped her tears and pretended to be strong as she gritted her teeth. “Shuyan, I won’t force you to reconcile with me. But before I go abroad, I want to give you a gift so that we won’t have known each other in vain. In the future…” Her lips trembled. “In the future, maybe… we’ll never meet again! I won’t come back!”
“Okay!” All things had to come to an end.
Feng Yanli wept tears of joy and looked as if she was so happy she didn’t know what to do.
