1534 Seeing Qi Zhenbai Again

After reading fortunes, Chi Shuyan specially wandered around the Fu residence as usual. Unfortunately, she didn’t learn any useful information – it was mostly about how Zhao Junrong treated her teacher well.

Chi Shuyan scoffed at this.

She only returned to the hotel in the evening.

Although she had been reading fortunes for the past two days, she had also been watching the blind divine fortune teller on the side. Seeing that the Fu family hadn’t brought her teacher over, she relaxed.

Although there was no movement in the Fu family, Zhao Junrong probably wouldn’t let go of his previous plan given his ambition and greed. All Chi Shuyan could do now was wait.

There was no hurry!

In fact, she had thought of finding a special opportunity to run into her teacher, but the most important thing now was to make a name for herself; it wouldn’t be difficult to run into her teacher later.

Back in the hotel, Chi Shuyan didn’t have much of an appetite. Holding a bottle of mineral water, she stood by the hotel window and stared at the tall buildings and neon lights outside as she pondered.

Before she could think of anything, her phone suddenly rang and broke the silence in the room. Chi Shuyan took out her phone and picked up the call calmly. “Hello!”

Manager Qian Zhengde’s voice quickly rang out as he asked carefully, “Miss Chi, it’s me, Qian Zhengde. By the way, do you still plan to continue auctioning spirit tea at the Jing Auction House? Let me tell you a piece of good news: Many people have come recently to ask about the spirit tea you refined!”

Manager Qian wasn’t overselling at all when he said this. In the past few days, many people had indeed asked about the spirit tea and medicinal pills refined by Miss Chi. If it had been just one person, Manager Qian probably wouldn’t have noticed. However, more than a dozen groups of people had come in the past two days, and they came every day for the spirit tea and medicinal pills refined by Miss Chi.

He wouldn’t be surprised if it were about the pills. After all, the pills which Miss Chi refined were very good. The Jing family was short of supply, so how could they bear to auction them off? Also, where on earth did these dozen or so people find out that Miss Chi knew how to refine pills?

What really puzzled him was that these people also wanted the spirit tea specially refined by Miss Chi Shuyan.

Manager Qian was deeply puzzled and sensed that something wasn’t right. He vaguely sensed that their enthusiasm for the spirit tea was no less than for the medicinal pills. Even though he repeatedly recommended their Jing family’s spirit tea, they didn’t want that at all, and only wanted the spirit tea refined by Miss Chi.

He had an absurd thought, but he also felt that although Master Chi was very talented at refining pills, their Jing family’s hundred-year-old spirit tea couldn’t be compared with something that had been refined casually!

In fact, Miss Chi had given him spirit tea before. He had been so busy that he had forgotten about it. Where had he put it?

If he could find it, he might be able to compare the spirit tea after tasting it.

Qian Zhengde was curious and puzzled about the dozen or so people who came to the Jing Auction House every day to bid for Miss Chi’s spirit tea. However, this was a good thing for Miss Chi. Last time, when Miss Chi put the spirit tea up for auction in their auction house, it hadn’t fetched a good price. Qian Zhengde felt quite regretful and apologetic about that.

He had specially called to let her know about this.

When Qian Zhengde said that, Chi Shuyan was indeed very surprised. After last time, she hadn’t planned to refine more spirit tea and auction it off at the Jing Auction House for the time being. She had originally planned to just continue selling the spirit tea in her online shop. After all, after deducting the commission, what she earned from the auction of her spirit tea wasn’t much.

Who would have thought that there would suddenly be this glimmer of light? This was good news. Chi Shuyan couldn’t help but smile a little more, and she immediately replied, “Okay, when I’m free the day after tomorrow, I’ll send the spirit tea over. I’m in S City, so I’ll only be able to send it over by express delivery. When the time comes, Manager Qian, sign for it and auction it for me first. As for the money for the auction, transfer it to my account as usual, or you can wait for me to go back to settle the account.”

When Manager Qian heard Miss Chi say that she was in S City, he was a little curious. However, in the end, they were just in a business cooperation, so it wasn’t good for Manager Qian to ask too much. When he heard that she would send over spirit tea for the Jing Auction House to auction off, he immediately agreed. When the time came, he would help her auction it off.

“That’s great. Then, I’ll have to trouble you, Manager Qian!” Chi Shuyan now had a better impression of Manager Qian. He was really too thoughtful.

Manager Qian replied enthusiastically, “It’s fine. Miss Chi, if you need anything, just call me. Leave the auction of the spirit tea to me. You don’t have to worry!”

Chi Shuyan chatted with Manager Qian for a while longer before hanging up.

Taking advantage of the fact that it was early, Chi Shuyan pulled open the curtains and planned to go downstairs to buy some tea leaves. She would refine some spirit tea tonight and tomorrow morning. She could send the spirit tea to the Jing Auction House tomorrow and have Manager Qian help her auction it off.

Chi Shuyan naturally didn’t want to miss this opportunity to make money.

She picked up her room card and went out. As she took the elevator, her phone rang again. Chi Shuyan took it out of her pocket again and picked up the call. At first, Chi Shuyan thought that it was Manager Qian calling and that he had something to add. Who would have thought that after she picked up the call and said hello, there was no reply at all.

Chi Shuyan said again, “Hello!”

A minute later, there was still no reply. She couldn’t help but think of how she had suddenly received a lot of annoying calls in the middle of the night before.

She immediately looked at her phone screen, and sure enough, it was an unfamiliar number.

She hadn’t dwelled on it before, but the more she thought about it now, the more she felt that the calls from before in the middle of the night and this call weren’t as simple as just harassment. If it wasn’t for the fact that her phone was fine and she didn’t sense anything unusual, she would have wondered if she had run into evil.

Chi Shuyan asked many times, but the other party didn’t say anything. She could only hang up.

Fortunately, it wasn’t like before, when her phone rang again not long after she hung up. When she left the hotel, it didn’t ring again.

She heaved a sigh of relief.

Chi Shuyan didn’t notice that as soon as she left the hotel, a black car slowly followed her from a distance.

There were cars everywhere on the road. Chi Shuyan didn’t notice at all that a car was following her, and she found a tea shop near the hotel.

As soon as she entered, an attendant in a cheongsam immediately greeted her and asked her what tea leaves she wanted to buy.

Chi Shuyan was very satisfied when she realized that there was a vast array of tea leaves in this tea shop. She chose tea leaves of different varieties and quality, such as cheap Biluochun tea, medium-priced Tie Guanyin tea, and even expensive Da Hong Pao tea.

If the tea was good, the taste of the spirit tea that was refined would naturally be better. To people who liked to drink tea, taste was very important.

The shop attendant obviously didn’t expect the young lady in front of her to spend so much on tea at her age. There was a lot of it, and she bought a lot of low-grade, average and high-end tea. Immediately, the smile on the attendant’s face grew wider and wider, and she was so enthusiastic in attending to Chi Shuyan that even the shop owner was alerted.

The tea shop owner personally received Chi Shuyan and rang up the bill for her. When Chi Shuyan paid, the tea shop owner stared at the amount and the smile on his face never disappeared. He looked at Chi Shuyan like she was a gold ingot and specially gave her a VIP card with a 10% discount. He also personally sent her out with a smile, hoping that she would come again.

It was unlikely that she would come again. After all, she lived in the capital and not S City. Chi Shuyan was quite satisfied with the tea shop owner’s enthusiastic and good attitude.

After leaving the tea shop, Chi Shuyan went back to the hotel. Her trip had taken less than ten minutes. Taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention, Chi Shuyan stuffed the tea into her Cosmos Ring.

She then bought a few packets of instant noodles from a nearby restaurant. Although she knew how to refine Fasting Pills, she still wasn’t used to not eating.

After entering the hotel and taking the elevator back to her room, Chi Shuyan felt hungry and planned to cook a packet of instant noodles. She filled a pot with water and was about to boil it, when there was a sudden knock on the door.

Chi Shuyan’s eyes and ears were sharp. The moment the person outside knocked on the door, she heard it. She narrowed her eyes and called out, “Who is it?”

No one replied, but the knocking ran out again. Chi Shuyan could only walk to the door and open it with sharp, narrow eyes. Chi Shuyan had thought of all sorts of possibilities, but never thought that as soon as she opened the door, she would see an incomparably familiar man, who suddenly fell forward unconscious on her.

Who else could it be, but Qi Zhenbai?
