1586 Making Up

As soon as the man finished speaking, Chi Shuyan was stupefied. For a moment, she didn’t know if it was because the man had misunderstood her relationship with Jing Hengran or if it was because this was the first time in his life that he was pleading so humbly.

She had never thought that there would be a day that this man would plead with someone, much less so humbly.

The man’s face was pale and he was no longer as aggressive as before as he stared fixedly at her.

She subconsciously didn’t want the man in front of her to misunderstand. She was about to explain, when she remembered that Chef Li and Jing Hengran were still watching from behind. She immediately turned around and said to Chef Li, “Chef Li, I and my… uh, Zhenbai still have something to discuss. Help me bring Young Master Jing inside to rest first.”

With that, she turned her head apologetically and said to Jing Hengran, “Young Master Jing, I’m sorry…” For disturbing you!

Before she could finish speaking, the man in front of her pinched her chin so that she could only look at him. Chi Shuyan looked up and saw that the man’s face was livid, gloomy and full of despair. His eyes were bloodshot and his face was filled with killing intent and hostility. “Do you like him that much?”

Chi Shuyan was stupefied.

Chef Li also recognized Young Master Qi. Although Young Master Qi’s face was a bit scary and the two of them seemed to be arguing, given his previous relationship with Miss Shuyan, Chef Li also knew that Young Master Qi wouldn’t hurt Miss Shuyan.

Afraid of disturbing the two, he immediately took Jing Hengran into the villa.

Jing Hengran was a bit bewildered. For one thing, Shuyan was behaving very familiarly with the man, and he could make a vague guess about their relationship. For another, the more he looked at the furious man next to Shuyan, the more he felt that he had seen him somewhere before!

Wait!

The restaurant?

Jing Hengran suddenly remembered that he had asked Shuyan out for a meal once. Wasn’t this the man who had been at the table next to them? He had left a deep impression on Jing Hengran in terms of looks and aura.

Did Shuyan already know this man?

Did they have a very special relationship?

After figuring it out, Jing Hengran had mixed feelings. Still, before things were made clear, he still had some hope.

What if they weren’t a couple, like he thought?

Jing Hengran wanted to stay, but Chef Li had already invited him inside, so he could only nod reluctantly.

Before he left, Jing Hengran glanced at the tall man not far away, and said familiarly, “Shuyan, I’ll wait inside for you!”

With that, he followed Chef Li back into the villa.

Jing Hengran left, but his words confirmed Qi Zhenbai’s guess once more.

Of course, if he were calm when he heard this, Qi Zhenbai would naturally be able to discern the truth. Now, however, he had already lost control of his emotions, and there wasn’t much rationality left in his mind since the other man was staying the night. These words undoubtedly added fuel to the fire, and Qi Zhenbai’s eyes burned red.

It was a pity that the other party had already entered his woman’s residence. Qi Zhenbai was so agitated that his eyes turned red and his face was filled with killing intent. He narrowed his eyes and glared dangerously in the direction the other party had gone. Even as he gritted his teeth and wanted to tear the other man into pieces, he said dispiritedly, “Are you… really… living together?”

Chi Shuyan was so angry that she spat out a mouthful of blood. The tall man looked pitiful as he hunched over and convulsed in pain. He supported himself against the car and retched. Not long after, the corners of his lips turned red. It was a ghastly sight and his face was deathly pale. However, his eyebrows were still sharp, and there was no sign of weakness.

Chi Shuyan’s face changed drastically and she trembled. “You… What’s wrong with you? Qi… Zhenbai?”

Thinking of how this man had mistaken her relationship with Jing Hengran and vomited blood, she was no longer in the mood to argue with him. She hurriedly held an umbrella and supported him as she explained, “Jing Hengran and I are not together. We’re not living together! We never slept together. It’s raining heavily tonight, and he’s staying at my house. Also, I like only…” You. Let’s make up!

Chi Shuyan hurriedly explained, but before she could finish speaking, the man next to her fainted and hit the ground, scaring her out of her wits. She dropped the umbrella, and raindrops fell on her face.

In the end, she called for Chef Li to help bring the man inside.

Even with Chef Li’s help, the man was tall and heavy. She almost collapsed from exhaustion as she brought him into the villa.

Jing Hengran was still awake. In the living room, he got up and was about to help, when he heard Shuyan say that she would help the man to her room. Jing Hengran’s face changed drastically.

Chi Shuyan didn’t notice Jing Hengran’s unusual expression at all. In the end, with Jing Hengran’s help, she easily helped Qi Zhenbai to her room.

The man was drenched. Forgetting her usual spells, Chi Shuyan immediately took off his wet clothes and had Chef Li help boil a pot of water.

“Yes, Miss Shuyan!”

Jing Hengran stood behind her and watched Shuyan take off the clothes of the other man familiarly. His face changed slightly and he immediately said, “Shuyan, men and women shouldn’t touch each other. Why don’t I help you take care of him?”

Chi Shuyan paused; only then did she remember that Jing Hengran was next to her.

Who would have thought that she would disturb and trouble him when he was staying the night? Chi Shuyan felt a little apologetic and immediately waved her hand. “Young Master Jing, there’s no need to trouble yourself. He’s my man. It’s just that the two of us had some misunderstandings recently. I’m sorry to disturb you tonight. Hurry and rest.”

Of course, Jing Hengran understood what she was implying. His eyes swept over the unconscious man on the bed, and he felt even more upset.

Before, he thought that he at most had a good impression of the young lady in front of him; he never expected to really fall for her.

He really liked the young lady in front of him and had been sure that given time, the two of them would definitely be able to cultivate a deep relationship. Unfortunately, something unexpected happened before that.

Jing Hengran felt unresigned. Under the light, he could see the man on the bed clearly. Last time at the restaurant, he had only taken a quick glance. The man’s face was cold and stunning. Now that he looked at him carefully, he had to admit that the man on the bed was really stunning and good-looking.

His looks were breathtaking, no matter how one looked at him.

No wonder Shuyan liked him so much.

In the end, women loved a man’s looks. Although Jing Hengran was good-looking, he wasn’t as good-looking as the man on the bed.

At the same time, Jing Hengran was quite afraid of the unconscious man. If he wasn’t mistaken, the first time they met wasn’t in the restaurant, but in front of Shuyan’s villa.

At that time, the other party’s car had been parked not far away. The man had stood in the dark and stared sinisterly at him and Shuyan, which had given Jing Hengran a sense of apprehension and danger.

Jing Hengran took another look and said a few words to Shuyan. No matter how unresigned he felt, he had to leave obediently.

After Jing Hengran went out, Chi Shuyan heaved a sigh of relief. She finished stripping the man on the bed, then wrapped him in the blanket before she went to take a shower.

Because Qi Zhenbai was unconscious, she didn’t dare take too long. She took a quick shower and changed her clothes before coming out.

Not long after, Chef Li knocked on the door with the hot water.

Chi Shuyan opened the door and took the water from Chef Li. She didn’t trouble him and had him go and rest.

Chef Li initially wanted to help Miss Shuyan take care of Qi Zhenbai. Although Miss Shuyan didn’t treat him as a servant, Shuyan did take him in as a servant in the beginning.

Chi Shuyan didn’t plan to trouble anyone else, and rejected Chef Li’s good intentions.

Only then did Chef Li give up and tell her to rest early.

Speaking of which, Chi Shuyan’s sleepiness had long been swept away when the man on the bed crashed into her gate. Her head was very clear and she was full of energy. She really couldn’t sleep.

After Chef Li left, Chi Shuyan closed the door and looked at the man on the bed with a complicated expression. She sighed. Afraid that he would catch a cold, she resigned herself to scrubbing him up and down with a towel dampened with the hot water.

It wasn’t like the two of them hadn’t had intimate contact before. She stripped him in a businesslike manner before wiping him clean.

After that, she changed the bedsheets. After doing everything, Chi Shuyan panted with exhaustion and slumped over the bed.

Afraid that this man would get a fever from the rain tonight, Chi Shuyan sat next to him and took his pulse. She was a little absent-minded at first, but her face swiftly changed and became even more solemn.

As she took his pulse, she looked at the man on the bed. She hadn’t looked at him carefully the last few times they met, so she hadn’t sensed anything strange. Now, however, she realized that the purple aura around him had actually disappeared completely. Also, there was a black, bottomless void in this man’s body that made her scalp tingle.

The more she looked, the uglier her expression became. She tentatively nudged the unconscious man, but unfortunately, he didn’t wake up.

Chi Shuyan pondered for a moment, then sent a message to Qi Hao to ask if he was free to meet tomorrow morning.
