When they arrived at a restaurant near the university, Qi Hao and the others specially booked a private room. Only then did Lu Chengfu tell them the whole story. There were six people in their dormitory. Except for Lu Yunfeng, who wasn’t there today, the other five were: Yu Jinzhou, Xiao Le, Lu Chengfu, the very hypocritical Tang Zhaoming and the stupid Chen Yang.
As for Yang Mingwei, he originally didn’t live in their dormitory. He was from the same hometown as Chen Yang, and it was Chen Yang who brought Yang Mingwei into the dormitory recently.
On his way to the washroom that morning, Lu Chengfu found Yang Mingwei and his girlfriend arguing on the balcony. His girlfriend’s name was Yang Xiaoxiao, and they had been arguing fiercely. Lu Chengfu didn’t think much of it at first, but after going to the washroom, he realized that the talisman in his pocket was burning hot.
Ever since that trip to the turbulent burial mound, Lu Chengfu had always carried on him the talismans from Haozi’s sister-in-law. The most powerful Guiding Lightning Talisman never left his body. He usually only put it aside when he showered, and treated it like treasure.
So, when the talisman burned, he remembered the last time at the burial mound and panicked. He then realized that the closer he got to Yang Mingwei and his girlfriend, the hotter the talisman in his pocket got. Lu Chengfu almost died of fright on the spot, and he immediately called Qi Hao and asked for his sister-in-law’s number.
Probably because what Lu Chengfu said was too arresting and too real, Yu Jinzhou frowned and his face turned cold. On the other hand, Xiao Le still didn’t believe much after listening and only praised, “Young Master Lu, you’re too good at making up stories. Not bad!”
After Xiao Le said that, he chuckled mockingly, and Qi Hao and the others couldn’t help but curse this kid’s stupidity.
But they thought back to how they had also been disrespectful of the supernatural back then and hadn’t thought much of it; if it wasn’t for Haozi’s sister-in-law, they might have all died at the burial mound.
Wang Xuewen and Qi Hao had experienced it for themselves, and couldn’t be any more of a believer. This kid was so stupid; how dare he not believe their sister-in-law? In addition, apart from Yu Jinzhouo, Wang Xuewen, Qi Hao, and Jian Chongying didn’t have any good impressions of Lu Chengfu’s dormmates. They gloated in their hearts and couldn’t wait to see how these boys would piss their pants after encountering something.
Chi Shuyan glanced at Xiao Le and said nothing, then motioned to Lu Chengfu. “Continue!”
Lu Chengfu nodded and continued, “When I felt the talisman burn, I stood nearby to find out what they were arguing about. Only then did I learn that Yang Mingwei’s girl seems to have recently ordered a bottle of particularly effective high-grade whitening pills from someone. She eats them every day, but Yang Mingwei finds them too expensive, so the two of them have been arguing.” At that point, Lu Chengfu paused, pondered for a moment, then continued, “Also, Sister-in-law, I think there’s something very wrong with that woman, Yang Mingwei. Her face is very pale, like a dead person’s. I also keep feeling that the skin on her face can fall off at any moment. She smiled at me before, and it reminded me of when Wang Xuewen was possessed and smiled at me when I first entered the burial mound. I was so scared that my heart almost stopped!”
As soon as Lu Chengfu finished speaking, the entire private room fell completely silent, perhaps because Lu Chengfu’s expression was too serious and his words were too real. Xiao Le didn’t really believe in superstitions and just thought that Lu Chengfu was telling a ghost story, but at that moment, his face was pale and his hair stood on end from fear.
Yu Jinzhou was still expressionless as he stared intently at Chi Shuyan, deep in thought.
Even less needed to be said about Wang Xuewen, Qi Hao, and the others, who had experienced the burial mound. They were all alarmed when they heard Lu Chengfu’s words. Qi Hao really wanted Lu Chengfu to drop out of school immediately. It was too f*cking terrifying.
Wang Xuewen didn’t really want to recall what happened at the burial mound, especially when he was possessed, so when he heard Lu Chengfu’s words, he wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and hurriedly interjected, “Chengfu, just tell us what happened. Don’t bring up the past!”
