Chapter 1: Prologue

In the middle of the night a familiar sound could be heard across the hallway of the palace, a crying one along with a voice of an old man.

"It's a girl!" Declared by the old man while wiping the baby with a white piece of cloth all-around it's body before giving her to the mother.

As the baby open it's eyes what she saw is a beautiful silver haired woman looking onto her.

'Eh!? where am I? who's this lady? and why can't I speak?' 

As she was looking at her surroundings a golden haired man  entered her vision.

"Welcome to the world my dear Alicia" As the man said that, she slowly starts to lose consciousness.

'It's seems like I got reborn I just wish that they're not like my previous parents who abandoned me'.

As soon as she close her eyes a several notifications pop inside her head but her consciousness ia fading away rendering her head useless.

As she falls asleep, her parents were talking.

"She looks exactly like you Rosalia, when we were younger"

"Yes, you are right Vincent"

"I wish her to grow into a wonderful lady like you" Vincent said that while kissing his wife's forehead.

Little did they know the birth of their child could cause destruction or salvation of the world but that's a story for another time.

Few moments later at the Holy City of Avalon. A black haired woman can be seen sleeping peacefully when she saw a nightmare and a dream, first a Black Dragon burning the Holy City to the ground, everyone dying, and on top of the pile of corpse standing a silver haired girl with hatred in her eyes while the other one is the same girl but having the Black Dragon lying beside her sleeping peacefully on top of a flowery hill.

The Saintess woke up screaming alerting the knight guarding outside of the room, who barges to the room in succession.

"Anna-sama, What happened!" The knight who barges inside looked around the room before looking at the saintess still wearing her nightgown barely covering her entire body.

"Ah! I'm so sorry " He bowed before attempting to leave.

"No it's fine, can you please tell the cardinal that I got a premonition"

"C-certainly" The knight bpwed again before leaving.

As the knight leaves, she sat down on her bed before looking at the goddess's statue outside of her window.

"Goddess Anastasia why did you give us the right to decide our own fate have you forsaken us"

After a while the knight came back to escort the saintess to the cardinal.

"Saintess should we go now?"

The knight's knocking stop the saintess at her pondering.

"Ah, yes we shouldn't make the cardinal wait"

As they're going to the cardinal another knight wearing a silver armor adjourned by gold approached them.

"Good evening Saintess, where are you going this late?"

"Commander Reinard good evening too, we're going to the cardinal I have something to say to him"

"Is that so then allow me to accompany you, I too have a message from the king"

"Then we should get going"

Accompanied by the knight commander and her escort they walk towards the main hall of the church to meet the cardinal. As they are approaching the cardinal's office they passed by several people who came out of the room.

'These people who are they' thought the Saintess to herself.

"Did you know them, Saint!?" asked by the knight commander before entering the room.

"No, it's my first time seeing them here Commander" 

"Cardinal Roy, the Saintess is here and Knight's Commander Reinard" said by the escort announcing their arrival.

"Enter" 

The escort opened the door and revealed an old man sitting on his desk wearing a red and blue robe.

"I didn't expect our Saintess to be escorted by the Commander" (Cardinal)

"We just meet each other on the way here Cardinal" (Saintess)

"Hmm" The cardinal nodded "Then what brings you here Commander?"

"Remove the formalities Roy we're comrades remember"

 "Then Reinarnd what did you come for, it's not just to catch up do you?"

"Yes, you are right, I didn't come here for a tea. The King ordered me to deliver his message for the pope" Knight's Commander Reinard handed a sealed letter to Cardinal Roy. 

As soon as the Cardinal attempted to open the letter Reinard stops him.

" You shouldn't check it now Roy, you're keeping the Saintess waiting"

"Sorry, I forgotten the fact that the Anna is here" The Cardinal placed down the letter besides his book.

"So Anna what's this all about, what did your premonition show?"

"Umm" she hesitated a little before telling them about her premonition.

After processing the information the cardinal stood up from his seat then walks towards one of his cabinets. After coming back to his table he places down few thick books in the table in front of his two guest.

"Can you do me a favor and help us find information about the Black Dragon Reinard?"

Reinard nods his head before reaching one of the books in front of him before saying. "The king needs to know this too so the faster we get the information, our damage will be at minimal"

"And about the silver haired girl there's only one-"

The Cardinal interrupts his words. Nodding his head before realizing what would happen if someone heard them and spread the information to the public.

"You shouldn't say anything to it Commander that information is closed to public and you know it" The Cardinal said in an angry tone.

"Yes, it's just a slip of the tongue"

The Saintess just looked at them with a puzzled expression not knowing what's going on. Few hours have past since then, she decided to break the silence with the information she got from the book.

"Umm, according to this book the Black Dragon's last appearance is 500 years ago in which it caused half of the empire to be destroyed with many casualties"

Both the cardinal and the commander nods to the saintess processing this new information.

"500 years, that's before Elysium church has been founded right?" Reinard asked.

"Yes that is right the church has been founded 200 years later" the Cardinal answered.

"Then I should get going now, I need to inform his majesty about it"

"Sure, and I will go inform the pope about this too"

"Thank you for your hard work saint" the commander thanked the saintess before leaving the room.

"You should get some rest Anna it's been a long night" the cardinal said while looking at the dark sky being illuminated by the now rising sun.

As the Saintess is about to leave the cardinal called her.

"Anna, everything that transcribed here should remain here until we get to announce it to the public do you understand?" the cardinal said in a menacing tone in which give the saintess shiver down her spine.

"Y-yes" answered by the saintess before leaving the room.

The Cardinal sighs as he plops back down to his chair.

"To many troubles in just one night, Oh goddess Anastasia please help us"
