The crystals had fired even more crystal shards at me. I fly up and weave around the shards to avoid them, then I strike down onto a nearby one.

But crystals come out of the ground just as I was going in for the drop, I flap my wings hard and hold myself with telekinesis to not ram into them, thanks to my reaction speed and my high speed thinking, I took no damage from that.

Good thing I was diagnosed with a little thing we call street smarts and quick thinking. And as for you Mr. Crystal-that-vaguely-looks-like-a-crab, you made the biggest mistake of your 3 minute life.

I flew over the crystal barrier that had formed and breathed fire on the crystal. Then I fired a fire bolt at the same time.

The crystal had some of its parts blown away and had even started melting, it had then lost its form and started breaking and losing its color.

That's one down, and uhh, 1 2 3 4 5 6... 14 remaining. Oh crap, heh, more like 'oh crab'

...

Oh crap they're firing at me!

I jumped back and flapped my wings to go up, the ground under me cracked and was covered with dust after the crystal bullets reached there. The bullets then started moving from towards the ground up to me.

I dashed to the left then landed on the ground, then I heard the sound of something raising behind me. When I looked back I realized that it was the giant crab.

Oh crab!

I dodged under the crab, and it tried to drop down on me, but I was too quick for it and managed to get away from underneath it and got behind it.

Then I breathed a mixture of fire and paralyzing breath on the crab, I didn't think that the paralyzing breath would affect it, but I should try for that 1/1000 chance. Those rates are practically guaranteed after all!

The fire had slight scorches to the crab, and looking at its status showed me that that attack did only 15 damage.

Oooooh... Crap.

The crystals on the crab suddenly grow outward to skewer me, I jumped away from the crab at the final second, and retreated to the air.

I was fired at by the idiot firing squad, and got hit by two of the crystals, the crystals broke upon contact with me but they still did 22 damage to me.

My god! Surely you must be nearing the end of your EP right?!

Upon appraising them, it was true, they only had around 20 EP left after all of that firing, but I'm assuming that they'll start burning their life away like that Apoikia I once fought.

I flew around them in circles, flying at a high enough speed that made them completely unable to shoot me, then I would pounce and attack one of them. Crystals would immediately spring out of the ground and the body of the crystal crab that I chose to attack, and they'd do a bit of damage to me before I manage to kill the crystal crab that I was dealing with.

I shouldn't take damage recklessly like that, if so, then I would really regret it later. So I started flying around and bombarding them with fire bombs.

Captain Lisa here, the bombs are being prepared for dropping, over.

Excellent, enemy location in T-minus 7 seconds, over.

Roger that, dropping the bombs in 3, 2, 1.

*Boom!*

And there goes the crystal crab exploding, the air raid was a success, I repeat the air raid was a success.

But in all seriousness, this strategy was pretty effective, but it had one flaw in it.

I was getting tired of flying.

No, not mentally, because I'm definitely already tired mentally, but physically.

I saw my SP slowly falling, and the closer it got to zero, the more out of breath I was getting, hopefully it will not use any of my max SP.

And so, after defeating 8 of them, I had to finally land, but now I was in trouble, I had to get my breath back while fighting the rest, and they sure didn't offer me an opportunity.

I kept on dodging them and running, but I was significantly slower since I was now relying on my max SP instead of the temporary one. I guess an easy analogy would be that I just switched from RAM to virtual memory, on an HDD. See! Those hours of building a pc did actually benefit me!

But I have to focus now, and I need to find a way to break their unrelenting attack.

I raised the earth in front of us to make some distance between us. It had stopped them for a very short period of time, since they destroyed the wall that I built, incredibly quickly.

But I did regain some stamina from the time that I bought, but I needed more time, around 20 more seconds.

And so I raised another wall, then another one. And then I raised a final one before finally regaining enough stamina  to be able to function more properly.

I fired fire bullets at them, the explosions had broken apart the areas the crystal crabs were shot in, and these areas had slightly melted. I then continued by shooting bigger fire bolts into those areas.

The fire bolts had exploded the rest of that area and had finally made a hole large enough to pierce all the way through the crystal crabs, the two of them that I had shot couldn't hold their forms anymore and had collapsed, then their colors started to dim and I couldn't feel their energy anymore.

Oh thank god, I finally leveled up. I was actually holding my breath at that point. And hey! One of my skills evolved, although it isn't the most useful currently.

Now there are only 6 crystal crabs remaining, but now they've changed up their strategy and started to stick together. Unfortunately for them, I don't think that'll really help them that much when I'm bombing them, but they're trying their hardest ok?!

I keep on backing away from them in the hopes of regaining more stamina to be able to go for another bombing round, but unfortunately, that doesn't seem possible, since they just keep on charging. And they keep on firing crystals at me, which forces me to dodge.

Guess I'll have to use my second plan.

I run towards them and bait them to attack me in anticipation. When they do, I stop and jump above them and hold onto the big crab, it tried to make crystals come out of its shell to skewer me but I kept on moving around and not giving it the opportunity to do so.

On the bright side of things, the crystal crabs had completely stopped attacking me while I was on the giant crab. So I started shooting at them with fireballs and bolts.

While I was doing that, I was covering the crab with flammable poison, as much of it as I could produce. I tried to smash my fist into its shell but it was practically useless. That shell is way too hard man!

The crystals tried to dodge, emphasis on try, because they were so slow, so terrible that they had been hit by every attack. Haha, git gud scrubs.

It wasn't long before they started falling, and after a while, I had completely jumped off the crab and delivered the finishing blow to two of them.

The crabs were damaged and the big one is ready to blow, this is actually quite a favorable situation. If you ignore the fact that my EP and SP were getting pretty low. Especially after putting that much flammable poison.

I had around 90 stock, my EP was at 110 right now, while my SP's limit was at 147, I can regain EP by waiting and by leveling up, but there is no way to regain SP except by eating, so SP has priority right now.

I put around 60 points into regaining SP. I instantly feel refreshed the moment I do, it looks like doing that had made me regain some points also, good to note for later.

The rest of the crystal crabs were at extremely terrible states, so I could finish them off relatively quickly.

I started of by shooting one of them with a fire bolt, then another with a flame beam. Another with fire breath, and the final one with a fireball to the core.

No level up, I kind of expected it, but it still hurts.

My EP is at 76 and its recovering, I'll buy a little bit of time then I'll blow up its back.

I kept on dodging away from the attacks and crystals of the giant crab, its EP was now reaching incredibly low levels, and it would either stop soon, or it would start burning away its life.

A while had passed with me staying on the defensive, and then I finally shot its back with a fire bullet.

The explosion was pretty big and had shaken the crab and made it fall, even the crystals on its crab had started breaking and shaking.

Looking at the status of the crab showed me that it had 420 health remaining.

That much health is more than me at full HP, but it is still around 3.5/10 of its health remaining. So not bad eh?

After the dust from that attack blew over, I saw that a part of its shell was cracked and revealed a place where I could peel its shell.

Haha, I'm about to open your shell like a can, prepare yourself crab, cause I'm about to rock you... like a hurricane.

God I'm dying of embarrassment from that line, why did I say such a dumb line, maybe dying wouldn't be so bad after all.

I'm just gonna break your shell now.

I jumped and flew over to where the cracked part was, then I pulled at it with my eye of force, then with telekinesis, and then I hopped on the crab and sunk my claws into one of the cracked parts and started pulling on it.

The crab tried to stab me with more crystals, but I would react to every single one and fly away, then I'd return to pulling on it. Except for the final time, when I had gotten greedy because I managed to pull it out part way.

I was stabbed in my left arm and in my tail, my left arm was injured but no important blood vessels were hit, and my tail was messed up and was nearly cut off.

But then I finally removed one of the plates, and I could now see softer flesh inside there. So I breathed fire and my paralyzing breath into it, and the crab started freaking out.

It HP, started a lot more quickly than last time, but it was still not enough, I need to strike deeper.

I sunk my claws and fangs into its flesh and ripped them away, trying to get deeper inside to deal higher damage to it.

Its health bar started rapidly falling, and I started scorching everything around me, while tearing anything near me.

Crystals started growing from the insides of the crab to stab and throw me out, one of them had taken out my left eye and nearly skewered my head, and that's when I knew I need to get out.

I dropped an incredible amount of flammable poison before leaving, and when I finally jumped out, I exploded it.

The crab had parts of its innards exploding and reaching the outside, guess you can call them outtards now eh?

But it was finally done, the crab had fallen to the ground, and the crystals on it's back had completely shattered and were now dimming. The status screen the left of my eyesight had showed that the crab was finally dead.
