Chapter 39: 36. Do you wanna break a crystal?

Ok, let's just stop thinking about the past, and now let's actually pick a crystal to bring to life. Huh, saying it like that makes me feel like a mad scientist.

Let me get my evil scientist voice in, ahem hem. Muahahahaha! I have defied DEATH! And I have brought this crystal to life! Now, rise monster!

I strike the crystal hard, and a crater forms where I had punched it, the crystal starts shaking from the strike, but the shaking gets more extreme until, finally, the crystal rises from the ground.

It's- it's ALIVE! But in all seriousness, I'm going to be removing the life I gave you mr. Crystal, sorry. You're kind of weaker than I expected, and it's kind of disappointing. Wow, you were alive for less than ten seconds and you were somehow a disappointment.

Enough about bullying this crystal, let's just finish this crystal off.

The crystal tries to hurl its heavy weight at me to crush me, I don't even bother dodging and just lift it up as it tries to crush me, I staggered slightly as it fell onto me, and then I pushed it and threw it off of me.

Woah, that was a bit heavier than expected, well, it was certainly an experience, and quite a good workout, I'm not gonna lie. Anyway, your energy defense is a lot lower than my energy attack, so I'm gonna have to finish you off right now.

I fire flames with fire techniques and breathe flames at the same time to reinforce that attack, the crystal was swallowed by that attack, and vanishes from my sight, it was a couple of seconds before I could no longer feel its energy and hear breaking.

Welp, time to gift some other crystals with the gift of life!

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, once I brought a crystal to life.

*Crash*

6, 7, 8, 9, 10, then I went and broke it again.

Enough of making creepy nursery rhymes, let's just get to taking care of the crystals.

I find one that is of a sufficient size, then I punch it hard. The crystal starts vibrating and a crater forms on the area that I punched, but the vibration doesn't stop. It increases, and soon after, the crystals next to it start vibrating as well.

Wait haven't I seen this one before? Oh crap! The crab! Wait, so these crystals are connected?! I can't believe I overlooked that!

I wasn't dealing with 1 crystal at a time anymore, their numbers were increasing, and in a little bit more, I'd be dealing with the crystals in the entire area.

But wait, Why now? I literally broke a bunch earlier and I broke two of them without them even reacting, but now they decide to come to life? This is freaking cheating!

Ah whatever, I can't know why it happened, just that it did, and I gotta take care of them now, but first! Appraisal!

I start appraising every single one of them as they start coming towards me in whichever way they could.

Appraisal complete, their are too many of them to think about all of their stats individually, so I'll separate them into 4 different power levels.

Firstly, level 1: Trash mobs

They have stats similar to this:

Secondly, level 2: Common foot soldier.

These are bigger than me, and are more powerful than the trash mobs, they come in all shapes and sizes, they could maybe give a level, and I don't need to pay too much attention to them, because their stats are low. These are the average stats for one of them:

These are big boys, I could likely latch onto one of their backs and they wouldn't know. Their stats are something to worry about, if I get encircled, it wouldn't be pretty for me. Luckily there are only two dozens of them or so. Their average stats are:

Fourthly, level 4: Demon lords.

Their stats are dangerous, really dangerous, just the fact that there are four of them is enough to make me wanna go into a hole and cry, I'll have to dodge them all the time. Body, please don't fail against them. Their average stats are:

Well, then, be brave Lisa! You can do this! The Lisa fighting brigade will arise victorious! Hurrah!

The army of crystals starts moving towards me, some were running, others flying, scuttling, whatever limbs they had, were working to reach me as quick as possible.

I started running towards them to meet them, I kept on jumping from side to side to dodge the spikes of crystal that would arise from the ground. Then I jumped up, took a deep breath, then breathed fire across their entire army.

Energy readings would vanish quickly after that attack, guess the trash was burnt. Good thing I turned off the exp notification, or my sight would be clogged up.

I flapped my wings to circle around their group, staying in one place will make me a target for their crystal shards. Which will seriously not be good.

After the flames cleared, I saw one of the trash mobs flying towards me, wait what?

Before I could notice, the crystal had crashed into me, then it had broken against my body. The blow removed my balance from my flight and I was falling. I turned around mid-air, then I landed on my feet.

You can't be using your own soldiers as ammo! That's illegal!

Then, I saw one of the common soldiers fusing a bunch of the mobs into his arm, then it dashed towards me and tried to cut me up with its sword.

I sidestepped the downward slash it tried to do against me, then broke the blade it created with its comrades by elbowing it in a weak point, then I ran up to the soldier that tried to slice me up, and hit him with a close range fireball that I used as a melee weapon.

The crystal soldier didn't try to resist in its last moments, instead, it tried to hold me down with its body, by growing crystals to bind me.

I pushed against its surface until those crystals broke, as I exited, I felt the energy of the four big crystals getting really close, so I retreated to the sky instantly, and shortly afterwards, the dead crystal where I was was struck with the combined weight of the four crystals' arms. The ground was crushed and a great amount of dust flew into the air.

Huh, I had made a mistake that time by getting too close, don't think I'll repeat that mistake, but more importantly now, these crystals are smart, smarter than any other enemy I've ever fought. The others are dumb and selfish, but these dudes have some serious coordination, sort of like an army.

My heart is actually beating pretty quickly, I haven't felt this way ever since I was reborn. This might be my hardest battle yet.
