Phew, I cleaned everything up, of course by clean up I mean I ate it all, completely eco friendly and doesn't leave a mess! Honestly, a lot of problems can be solved by eating them.

Unfortunately, I don't think my problems can be solved by eating them. Although I can certainly try.

Damn, I'm still kind of not feeling it... No no, this is an opportunity to build discipline, no more indecisiveness.

... I'm just wasting time arguing with myself, aren't I? Well, instead of wasting that time, I gotta go.

I flew up until I was halfway to the roof, then I started looking for any potential exits. At this height, I could see the giant from over the horizon. Man, doesn't that giant just creep me out, I mean, it's just... standing there... menacingly. Let's not pay it anymore attention. I don't want it to start staring back at me.

I turn my head away from it and start looking around the floor level, I see the land where I had fought. The ground was filled with craters, and the entire area had not a singular live being.

Although I did defeat a large area of crystals, a ridiculous number of them still remained, if I had to guess, I would say I beat at least 20% of all crystals in this cavern.

Occasionally, I would sneak looks over to the giant, it had now moved extremely far from its original position. The place where it is at now looks kind of familiar, huh, wonder where it's at.

Wait, near its feet, I can see some kind of quarry, there was a bunch of digging equipment as well as strange looking devices. The quarry didn't have many crystals covering it, and it seemed really really deep.

Holy crap, did I finally find some kind of exit to this place?! Well, it'll only let you go deeper into the cavern, but at least it can let you leave this terrible crystal cave.

While I was amazed that I had found an exit, I saw that the roof around the giant started shaking, and they started rising.

W-Woah?! Wait, now I recognize where the giant is at. It's where I fell from! They're trying to climb through that narrow hole!

I saw them slithering through the hole for a while, until half their body was already inside. Causing the hole to expand to fit their massive size. And for rocks to start falling. Until eventually, the giant fell through the hole, and crashed on the floor.

Ahahaha! Oh my god, I need to see that again.

But my laughter was soon interrupted. I started hearing a terrible rumble and cracking. Until I looked at them again, and realized that the ground under them was literally gonna collapse under their weight.

Then, the ground sunk, swallowing the giant and that entire part of the cave into another layer.

Oof, that must've hurt!

It indeed must've hurt, as the giant got back up, and started rampaging around. Flailing and causing the rest of the cave to continue to shake.

Hey hey, calm down you big baby, do you want me to kiss your injury or something? Well, I do wonder how bad that fall hurt you. I mean, I can see quite a lot of cracked parts and broken pieces.

Wow that's a helluva lot more damage than I thought. I mean, that's almost as much damage as Chris had health, yes I'm calling the crystal person Chris now. And also, correct me if I'm wrong, but did his EP increase by a whopping... 1? And it's already used up? What the hell...

Well, there is no way I can ever beat them, but this could be a very good opportunity for future Lisa to beat them up. So let's formulate a plan.

Wait, before that, what happened to that quarry?

I looked back where the quarry was, it had sunk with the rest of the area, so I had to move closer towards the hole. When I looked down, I saw that the quarry continued on, and I still couldn't see the bottom of it. I then noticed that some of the strange gadgets were now glowing. They glowed brighter and brighter, until they exploded.

Woah! Didn't realize that these things were explosives! I mean, in a quarry I kind of should have expected they would carry some kind of explosive. But this is good, really really good.

Ok, now on with the plan.

Firstly, while it rampages down there, I'll level up, and (hopefully) evolve. Then, after that, I'll prepare as many explosives as I can. Since I had a pretty great idea lately, for something other than the ammonium  nitrate of course.

Secondly, I'll try to use gravity to my own advantage, maybe I'll try to drop it down another floor. Increase the gravity on it with gravity techniques, although I don't think I can pull off that one.

And thirdly, I can pull off run and gun tactics, from what I've seen. These crystals have to use EP to regenerate. And they do not regenerate EP, unless they level up. Which is kind of difficult for such a big guy.

Heh, it almost looks like this is going to be easy. But those stats could turn this on my head.

Well, no time to waste.

I ran up to the closest cluster of crystals, and started blasting them with fire techniques. When some of them came to life, I decided to test out my new skills on them.

Firstly, hardening.

I hardened the air in front of me as a test. The air did harden, but it was still ridiculously weak, so weak that a gust of wind actually broke it. So I decided to harden something solid. Which was my arm.

I felt my arms becoming heavier and more rigid. Then, I sunk them into one of the approaching crystals, and it crashed right through its body. Shaking it, and causing the rest of it to collapse.

Not bad, not bad at all. That did increase the amount of strength I can put out. I can see this being better in the future though.

Well, next up is body manipulation, I didn't wanna do anything extreme, so I tried changing the shape of my finger. But I couldn't. So I tried making my claws longer.

I felt them getting longer and pointier, then I applied hardening to them and sliced another crystal, its body started falling apart from the areas that I struck with my claws.

Nice, I can tell that this skill has a hell of a lot of potential. And I can tell that Unarmed combat has been doing good work. As I can move and fight better than I ever could. Although not by a large margin.

Next up, was the part I anticipated most. Gravity.

I'm going to show you the most powerful force in the universe and games! Gravity!

I uh, don't really know what to do with gravity.

Well, let's try increasing gravity in the area of one of the crystals.

I tried making my energy collect in one area, and then I tried making it strengthen the force of gravity that was already in the area. I didn't really know what I was doing. So I hoped that anything was going to happen

The crystal did slow down, and did stagger briefly, but the gravity increase was pretty minor and to be honest with you, I don't think it even noticed it.

Well, that's a shame, I guess it is low level, but I can't help but feel pretty disappointed. I mean, that was 40 freaking points! Ugh, it's such a difficult technique to use, and costs a pretty hefty amount. No Lisa, you aren't disappointed... Yeah, I'm experiencing massive buyers remorse right now. This is worse than the time I bought that overhyped game!

Well, even my boy Appraisal grew into a fine man. So perhaps the same will be true for gravity techniques.

Ok, now onto another form of techniques, wind!

Hm, how to use wind... there are so many options, well, first off, let's try to remove the air from an area.

I tried to pull all the air from one location, I managed to do it for a second, but air rushed back in after I removed it. Huh, I guess I need to get better to do something so complex. Well, can I make a blade of wind?

I tried making a cut made of wind, I made a swishing motion with my claws then I created the cut of wind. Which cut shallowly into one of the crystals. Huh, it's still pretty weak, but man, I felt really cool doing that just now. Even though the swishing motion was completely unnecessary.

Well, that's all for testing, more killing now!

I was careful not to start a chain reaction of crystals, I definitely don't want to fight every crystal within a three hundred meter radius.

So, I crashed my fist through many crystals. Broke them down into shards, until finally, I saw the message I wanted to see.

But now isn't the time for this type of shenanigans, I gotta evolve quickly so I can take on the giant. Well, I say I don't have time, but I'm gonna get knocked out after I evolve, so I'll waste a lot of time either way.

Haah, well, I might not be able to capitalize off of the opportunity I have now, but I can plan, and evolve into the most effective evolution.

[A Sofos that has reached a new level of awareness, and has become highly intelligent. It is a drake with dark blue scales and a white underbelly, with great shining blue horns. And a third eye on its forehead. It is about 3 meters in height when bipedal, its back is covered in crystals. Extremely good at techniques, with high thinking skills. It has exceptionally high energy strength with above average speed and strength, but low defense and energy defense.]

Ah I see, so it's like a techniques focused evolution eh? Well, I kind of don't like being heavily reliant on one stat, and the lack of flexibility. I can't min max in real life you know? Adaptability is way more important than being a one trick pony. Should have leveled ADP instead of INT.

Oh yeah, gimme a loading screen fun fact.

[The filoso are the only beings left that are intelligent enough to be fluent in language, and to invent machinery. As their intellect rivals humans.]

Well that's neat, too bad for you that I'm already intelligent enough. Besides I've never needed to count higher than my fingers, once more, math class has been proven to be useless. Also, I've noticed that they are the only ones left that are smart enough to do all of that. Well, I'm not gonna question it.

Maybe just one question though. Hey Appraisal, what do you mean by "left"? And if you tell me that left is the western direction, I'm gonna punch you in the eye!

Huh, guess threatening them either shut them up, or they were never going to answer anyways. I like to think that my threat worked.

Anyways, now is the time to pick which one I should evolve into. Well, let's eliminate what I'm not gonna pick, first off, I'm removing Waltz, despite it seeming pretty cool from the description, I think the Teruhi has it beat in what it can do.

Next, I'll remove the Filoso as it's too reliant on one stat, I could just use energy techniques, especially since these crystals are weak to energy, but if in the future I fight someone that counters my techniques, then I'd become helpless. Also, it could lock me into an energy only evolution line. I prefer something more balanced personally. I know I know, jack of all trades and all of that jazz, but did you consider that I don't care?

Well, now only the strongest remain, on this side of the ring, we have the beast! The machine! Paaalemooooo!

And her rival, the fastest contender to ever enter the ring, she's the ruler of the sky! the daughter of the sun! Teeeeruhi!

It really could be Lisa, I shouldn't pick sides as the announcer but I think that Teruhi Lisa has a better chance of winning this one, after all, everything we fight here is weak to energy, so she is totally winning in the short term gain, and due to the relative balance of her. She has massive potential in the future and the ability to adapt to anything!

I wouldn't count my chickens so soon Lisa, after all this palemo here doesn't ask! She demands! With staggeringly high defense and strength, you could be punching her for the whole night and you wouldn't even get her attention. This beast will poison you just by touching her, and injuring her isn't gonna leave you unharmed! I'm just saying Lisa, but you better have the medics on standby, cause I don't think she's walking outta this one in one piece. While you're at it, get the janitors in here, cause I'm telling you that there will be blood!

Oh yeah? What's that gonna do against a giant crystal that likely has 2 times your stats? And besides, you wouldn't even catch her if you tried! Total aerial superiority Lisa! That's all that matters in war!

Well, I guess I've decided. I gotta get into a safe place first.
