Chapter 49: 44. Vertical battle.

I flew back towards where the crabs were, listening out for any sounds from that giant, luckily I didn't hear anything for now. I got near the location I was at, then I spotted a clearing of land where several crab carcasses were.

There it is! My lab!

I landed next to the crabs, then immediately got to work, my hands were shaking as I worked. And my stomach wasn't hollow by now, it was collapsing in on itself.

Ok! First ton of ammonium nitrate has been made! Come on ladies! Next is nitromethane!

The number of crabs available to me decreased after every batch I would make. Until only one remained.

I started hearing sounds of rumbling, and the cave started shaking.

Hopefully that's an earthquake! Ah who am I kidding, it's definitely it!

I levitated the explosives, then hurried off to the location of the giant. Once I got there, I could see it climbing up the hole, using the floors as platforms to hold onto and climb.

When I got to it, it was still grabbing onto the floor, and was trying to lift itself up to me.

Oh snap! I saw this scene once before, hey crystal? "Long live the king"

I created an explosion on the ground near its arms, the ground rumbled, and started breaking away. It couldn't hold onto it and its hands started to try and clutch anything.

The crystal lost its balance, then started to fall backwards, mid-way through falling, it had come to a stop.

What?! That's not how momentum works!

I flew down closer to its legs. I saw that it grew crystals to hold itself down, from its legs and the back of them.

I barraged them with more explosives to cause it to fall again, the tethers that I shot were more brittle than the ones on its body.

More crystals grew from the walls and its body to hold it down, crystals grew sideways from the walls of the hole under it.

Well, I guess now is a good time to use my explosives. I did want to get rid of them sooner or later anyways.

I mixed the solid one with the liquid one, then started setting them around the crystals, a giant hand started to reach towards me while I was setting the explosives down, I threw the rest of my grenades, then jumped out of there.

Guess that they finally noticed the mosquito around them, but it's too late you fool! I have already touched that crystal.

I throw small pieces of fire towards each of the explosives I had set, then I started flying up as quickly as I could. An explosion rings out, then I was forced further up, I saw the crystal as I went up, it was shaking and flailing, then dust engulfed it.

My back was slightly charred, but there wasn't much damage. I don't know how much explosives I set down there, but I think it must've been at least a hundred tons.

Well, I gotta get rid of the dust, cause I am sure that it's gonna jump out of the dust then flip this whole thing on me. That's just how my luck is.

I moved wind in to remove the dust, then, a spike of crystal came out of the dust as I was removing it.

I flap my wings and move sideways, the crystal passes by me and strikes a wall.

Great, I wonder if I'm gonna get a clairvoyance skill, cause I freaking saw the future right there! What the hell is this crap?!

More spikes came from the walls around me, expanding towards me. I flew out of their range, and they crashed into one another.

The dust had finally cleared, and I could see the crystal, its left leg practically gone and it's right one was slightly broken, charred, and even melting from a few parts. It was barely holding on, with only a singular leg being connected to the ground, and its hands digging into the wall.

I take a look at its health, its health was 2142 and its EP was at 891.

1000 damage huh? All the explosives and the giant drop did only 1k damage. Man, this thing is tough! My EP is only at 510 now, I don't think I can defeat it

No no, it's too early to say, besides, I still have more cards to play, while it's struggling.

I flew around it, then started firing at the rocks that it was holding on to, the rocks broke away, this time, the crystal didn't dig both its hands to hold on, it swung the back of it's right hand towards me, trying to swat me like a fly.

I flew over the hand, then it started growing spikes from its hands, which flew towards me, I went backwards and let them fly up away from me. The crystals went up, then more grew from them towards me.

As they get closer to me, I go under them, letting them crash into each other, you really weren't the first person to try this strategy on me.

The crystal didn't let up, and continued to chase me with those crystals. I flew around them and let them pass by me each time they would get close.

I fly away from one of them, but another came in front of me, I was forced to go up, but more came from above me.

I look around, and see that the crystals were starting to surround me in the form of a cage, all of those crystals that were grown were starting to fill up this hole.

Oh crap, oh crap! God damn it! Fall you stupid bastard!

I continued blasting the rocks it was holding on to, but it would just move its hands to hold on to more.

This obviously isn't gonna work... I need a new plan, so how about I try this?

I flew through the open holes in the crystal cage, my arms were cut by the sharp parts as I flew through. I glided towards the giant. It swung it's free hand towards me. I went over it then over the giant itself, while on it's back, it tried to crush me against the wall, but I would run over to its shoulder the moment it tried to do so, it raised spikes from under me, but I would get away before it could hit me.

Hehe, too big to catch me eh? But that's not all.

I ran to it's back again, spikes came out of the wall on top of me, but I sidestepped them as they tried to impale me. The crystals had crashed into the giant instead, slightly digging into it.

I went up to the rocks where it dug its hand into, then I created several explosive fireballs, I coated them in energy, then left them next to and inside the rocks. They're probably gonna detonate within a minute or two.

Then I ran back to its leg, but I couldn't get there, I was faced with a giant wall. I turned to the opposite side, but saw another wall growing there.

If I get captured, then it's game over! If I don't get out, I'll die! Get out of there Lisa, no matter what!

I ran as fast as possible, hearing a boom as I accelerated, then silence from what was behind me.

The raising wall was now about to close shut, before it could, I jumped over it, the wall raised sharply the moment I got over it, and trapped my arm.

I was over the wall, but my left arm was caught, I started smashing the crystal trapping it, i felt something sharp digging into my arm, going past my flesh and reaching my bone. I created an explosion next to me and released my arm.

Argh, damn it, this isn't good, god damn it, my damn arm! It's basically entirely cut off! I'm gonna bleed out within minutes if I don't patch it up.

The flesh and bone were healing themselves, they were connecting themselves back together, but the blood made it harder to close back up.

I didn't have much time to mull over my wounds, so I started running and thinking.

What do I do, should I use regeneration and close the wound? Or should I save the EP? No, I should heal it, at least enough to close the wound, then Automatic HP recovery would do the rest.

I closed the surface wound, but my left arm was completely useless, because the bone was ravaged, and I couldn't move it even if I wanted to.

I gotta get to the leg, I only have maybe 30 seconds left.

I ran across the back to the front of the body, all of the spikes in the tunnel would now start moving towards me, hundreds of them would rain down on me, trying to block my path. I jumped from side to side to avoid them, flapping over or sliding under whichever ones tried to stop me, the crystal spikes would pour onto the body of the giant, shattering on contact, and creating a hole on it.

I went around the leg area, then saw it's foot planted into the wall, I launched more of those explosive balls towards the rocks, then started the count down to the last 20 seconds.

The crystal started shaking and trembling far faster than ever before, dozens of spikes came out of it's back to try and dig into the wall, I blasted all of them away, exploding spear after spear, making their remains rain, glistening as they fell into the abyss.

I'm not letting you put everything to waste. 3, 2, 1.

Another explosion rings out, and the rests holding the crystal collapse. I start to feel rapid acceleration, and hold onto the back of it as hard as I can.

Platforms start growing out of the walls to slow it down, but it was futile, it didn't even slow the giant down, as it fell and broke through them.

It tried to dig its hands into the nearest wall, which was several hundred meters away, the moment it could touch it with its fingers, they cracked and broke away. It was too quick to stop itself.

Instead, now it tried to grow crystals on it's back to stab me, but I let go of it and started free falling away from it.

The giant was now falling way faster than I was, and I was about to lose sight of it. I propelled myself downwards, then I caught sight of it again, this time, the floor was visible.

The giant collided violently with the floor, crushing the rocks underneath it and falling through it once more.

We fell into a lower layer, and It was bright, I was nearly blinded by how bright it was, and when I saw it more clearly, I saw that this bright red cave, was illuminated by magma and seemed to stretch on and on.

Haha, guess this is a fitting place for you to die crystal, I took you all the way to hell.

It crashed to the floor for the final time, and came to rest, the island it was on shook a little and a small amount of magma landed on the island. It was cracked all over, and it's hands were gone. Parts of it were breaking and falling down.

I came down after it, seeing the glimmer of the human buildings shine from the light of the magma, thankfully, they were mostly intact, I kinda forgot about them for a while. So thank god that they were in an area that is hard to attack.

Well, I guess this is the final battle between us, our duel of the fates.
