Chapter 70: Debrief

Leo relaxed his body in one of the helicopter seats and closed his eyes.

Obviously, he wouldn't be able to fall asleep due to the loud noises from the rotor.

Leo sat in the helicopter with his eyes closed for a long while before noticing that the helicopter was slowing down.

When he opened his eyes again he found out that they had arrived back once again.

The helicopter was already surrounded by combatives holding their weapons casually.

They showed no hostile intentions and just simply waited for the helicopter to land.

After the helicopter landed Alyona and Leo both got out and not long after that, they got approached by two guards.

They seemed to have a high rank as all other operatives saluted them.

One of the guards extended his hand toward Alyona and shook it.

"Miss Alyona, I assume?"

 

 

 

"That assumption is correct," responded Alyona coldly.

"Sir Noah reported to HR that you would have a way to identify yourself, could you display it to us?"

"Certainly."

Alyona felt around her outfit before pulling out a small badge.

Leo glimpsed over to the badge, it had the form of a police badge, however, the carvings in the badge were a lot different.

 

 

 

Leo tried to see what was on the badge but Alyona had already noticed that he was trying to get a peek and quickly put it away.

"Alright, all clear Miss. We will refuel your helicopter. Thank you for bringing this operative back to HQ."

Leo felt a hand drop on his shoulder and he was escorted by the two guards.

 

 

 

He waved at Alyona one last time before entering the inner complex of MC&D once again.

Strangely enough, it felt refreshing to be back on some kind of familiar ground.

"So, what's this all about?" questioned Leo.

 

 

 

"Miss Iris wishes to debrief you personally. Just follow us, we don't really know anything." spoke one of the guards.

Leo sighed and followed the guards.

After walking for a while they arrived at a small office, nothing compared to the meeting room like last time.

The only thing that was the same was that the room was still heavily guarded.

Leo entered the room to be met with a familiar woman sitting at the head of the desk.

"Leo, take a seat." spoke the woman.

"Yeah yeah Iris, so what do you want to know?"

"Don't address me so casually you twat, you probably already know what I want." said Iris coldly.

 

 

 

"I truly have no idea if you do not tell me." countered Leo.

"Tell me what your mission was about, that Noah guy posted quite a interesting feedback." said Iris before turning around her laptop.

There was one name on the screen but Leo already knew it was not Noah's true name.

 

 

 

"VIVI SOLIS"

"Ordered this service to take out a problem I had and to deliver me some special items I required, all went flawlessly and he was not even detected, I can vouch for this service as the mission I gave him surely was not an easy one. I doubt anyone except him would be capable of executing the mission."

 

 

 

Leo knew that the review was from Noah for sure due to the huge amount of badges displayed next to his name.

Badges were a way to value a person on the website and even obtaining one was extremely hard for a lot of people, the fact that the VIVI SOLIS guy had six next to his name had already increased the worth of his word exponentially.

 

 

 

"So, what was the exact nature of this mission?" questioned Iris once again.

"Well, Noah had me sign an NDA that warned me that I could not tell anyone this information except MC&D, the mission wasn't that hard. It was just infiltrating an SCP site and executing a personnel member before stealing some SCPs, that's it." said Leo boldly.

Iris started typing on her laptop while responding.

"Ah, nothing interesting I guess. I will log it right awa-"

 

 

 

She stopped typing and looked Leo in the eyes.

"YOU DID WHAT LEO?!?!"

 

 

 

"Heh, funny. I almost had the exact same reaction as you, but unfortunately, that is not all of our troubles."
