Chapter 92: Distressed

When Leo woke up he was feeling fresh and clearminded, he had alot of problems to tackle.

He got up from bed and got dressed in some simple clothes before calling in room service.

While he was waiting for the room service to arrive he turned on the television.

 

 

 

It had been a long time since he seriously watched tv, ever since he got reincarnated he found it to be boring and unentertaining.

After watching some show about gem digging for a while a knock was heard on the door.

Leo opened the door and a maid came in with a plate covered by a dish and placed it in front of Leo before, bowing in front of him.

"Our breakfast today is scrambled egg with kielbasa. I hope you enjoy your breakfast."

 

 

 

Leo nodded and the maid quickly left the room.

When Leo lifted the dish covering the plate, a fragrant smell hit his nostrils.

The scrambled eggs were creamy and there was sausage mixed in between them, after eating the disgusting food from the mess hall for a long time this meal felt like a gift from the gods for Leo.

 

 

 

After finishing his food Leo took a deep breath and started thinking about what he would do when it came down to Noah's request.

He first made a sketch of Noah's room where the deal would be taking place before assigning positions to different people, Noah would have two of his own agents skilled in martial arts with him.

Leo was positioned at the exit of the room meanwhile the client was sitting on the couch facing away from the door so that they would not have a direct line of sight on Leo.

 

 

 

Leo assumed that the bodyguards from the client would be positioned next to the couch they were to sit on.

Leo positioned one of the agents directly next to Noah so that once the action would begin he would be able to get Noah to cover.

Leo positioned the final agent at the side of the table to intercept one of the bodyguards.

The final bodyguard would be left for Leo.

 

 

 

Leo sighed.

"This is all so boring..." thought Leo.

"At least it's better than writing reports in the thousands of words for the foundation just to have them denied."

Leo stood up to make himself a cup of tea before sitting down again.

 

 

 

"Now the next problem." thought Leo.

He could not just approach a sarkic outpost to say hi. He had to think of a good reason to approach them.

Inquiring about the symbol he saw would probably also not be as easy as he thought.

After thinking for a couple of hours, his first problem was solved.

He was a shapeshifter and the sarkists had a strong connection to flesh and disease, if he showed them that he was quite literally able to warp his flesh up to the point of him reaching a different form he would most likely be allowed to enter.

Leo spent some more time thinking about how to approach the sarkists about the symbol before giving up.

Leo got up from the couch before heading to Noah's room using the special knock.

The door quickly opened and one of Noah's agents signaled Leo to enter.

 

 

 

Leo nodded and saw that Noah was in the middle of a phone call and decided to stay quiet.

Leo did not understand what Noah was saying as it was in Russian but he seemed quite distressed.

Leo heard the name Alyona drop a couple of times during the phone call but that was about it.

 

 

 

After a while Noah hung up and looked towards Leo.

"What's wrong?" questioned Leo.

"None of your business, why are you here?" responded Noah in a cold tone.

Leo was not used to this attitude but decided to ignore it and handed the sketch he made to Noah.

"This will be our positions, any objections?"

Noah quickly gazed over the plan before responding.

 

 

 

"No, it's fine. Quick question, when was the last time you saw Alyona?"

Leo looked at Noah with a confused expression.

"It was when she dropped me off at the dock, why?"

"Nothing, you are dismissed."

 

 

 

Leo didn't question it as it wouldn't get them far and left the room.

A couple hours were left and Leo used them to check his equipment before getting dressed in the suit Noah gave him.

It looked quite good but it restricted his movement a bit.

Leo headed to Noah's room and got in position.

 

 

 

 

At 9:53 PM a vehicle was seen approaching the hotel, a lady got out along with three other men and they walked towards the hotel.

And lastly, to no one's attention, there was another person spying on everything that was about to happen...
