Shi Qing could not make a sound, he could only open his eyes wide to see the boy in front of him.
The scope of that unbridled explosion just now was much wider than expected, and Xia Nuo’s body was that of a normal human after all. Even if Qi Zimo protected him, he had still been hit hard.
It felt like his entire skeleton was out of place, and it hurt so much that he couldn’t help but grit his teeth. Shi Qing knew in his heart that this body couldn’t last any longer, but he really didn’t want to ‘die’ at this moment. Qi Zimo had already received such a strong stimulation, he really couldn’t imagine what the boy would become if he died now!
He carried such an amazing power within him, and yet he hated the world so painfully much, that not even a trace of light could be found in his heart. It was simply a mirror of the adult version of Qin Mo.
No…this case was even more serious than Qin Mo. At the very least, Shi Qing still lived in Qin Mo’s world; but in Qi Zimo’s world, he was going to die!
No! He can’t! He definitely can’t die!
Shi Qing desperately tried to open his eyes, and even if his painful soul moaned and groaned, he still latched on to life. Even so, he could not stop the life from flowing out of this body.
In addition, his system soul was also gradually leaving the body. He couldn’t make a sound, he could only watch with his eyes open as he tasted death once more, leaving behind only a deep regret within his heart.
Unfortunately, in the end, he still could not hold on. He was completely expelled from the body. Shi Qing floated up into the sky and his soul felt light, but his mind felt so heavy that he could hardly breathe.
He…still died in the end…
Looking at the state of his soul, he could only see the young and tender child holding onto a body that was much larger than his. He caressed him so gently, and carefully, just like a nestling that had finally found a place to belong, there was pure and unadulterated satisfaction.
Watching that scene, Shi Qing could only feel that it was like a sharp blade, cutting piece after piece from his heart and causing insurmountable pain.
This wasn’t the ending he wanted…it shouldn’t have been like this…
Wait! He suddenly woke up!
It wasn’t the end yet! The save point! There was a save point!
He saved as soon as he first met Qi Zimo. He could load the file, he could start over! He could change everything! Xia Nuo wouldn’t die, and Qi Zimo wouldn’t have turned into this, they’ll have an even better ending! They’ll support each other, making up for what each of them lacked, and they can live in peace for a lifetime!
Shi Qing rushed back into the system space, but the scene that greeted him was like a bucket of cold water splashing over him…
He couldn’t get in, couldn’t get into the space he and Qin Mo shared. He appeared in the space of the ‘system’, the one from the very beginning. It was a bright white, and the only thing present was handbook-kun in the center.
What’s going on? If he can’t enter Qin Mo’s system space, then he won’t be able to load the file, and time won’t turn back!
Shi Qing felt very anxious, but that helped nothing. He quickly went to the system handbook. Before he could even reach out his hand, the handbook opened on its own.
“The mission is still ongoing, unable to enter host’s space/dimension.”
Shi Qing’s heart ran cold. Only then did he suddenly realize, the task was not over yet! Even though he’s dead, Qin Mo was still in that world. As long as the host was still there, the task would continue until it was completed, or failed.
Whether it was completed or failed, there was no way to load again. So to say, this was how it had to go on?
Xia Nuo was dead and Qi Zimo had gone mad. Was that the only ending they could have?
Shi Qing had no body, but he could still feel the bone-biting chill.
Xia Nuo… Xia Nuo can’t die!
Countless memories collided within his consciousness. Father and Mother Nuo, and also his good friend Blondie… Xia Nuo had his own quiet life, but now, it had all been ruined by him.
And Qin Mo…How could he leave him by himself in that world?
Qin Mo did not have his own memories, he didn’t even know what his mission goal was, and Shi Qing couldn’t issue a system message because he couldn’t enter the host space!
Qin Mo had no way of completing the task, or in other words, he never thought about seeking out the mission goal in the first place. With that, Qin Mo would also disappear following Qi Zimo’s natural death…
This thought threw him into a complete panic!
Certainly…there must be other ways!
Shi Qing came back to his senses abruptly and looked at the system handbook. He could find a way, he definitely would!
The handbook was thick and heavy like the Kangxi Dictionary. He quickly flipped through it, and actually found a feasible answer.
Due to the special abilities of the system, he could choose to make a repair if his character ever died in a world, but he had to pay a certain price. First he had to pay 3000 points and, following that, it would require a very long time.
Shi Qing quickly browsed through it. For example, if he paid 3000 points, it would require twenty years to make a full repair…
His head spun dizzily, and Shi Qing nearly passed out. Twenty years! That was too long!
Continuing downwards, there were other ways, as expected. There were two ways to shorten the repair time; one was to continue paying a large number of points, and the other was for the system to enter the character’s body, and perform the repairs internally.
Shi Qing gritted his teeth; he’d choose both!
He used all his remaining points to shorten the duration to ten years, then, he entered Xia Nuo’s body to perform the internal repairs. With that, he could shorten the total time to five years.
That was the limit, he really couldn’t go any shorter…
Five years…that would work. When Xia Nuo came back to life, he’d definitely be able to reconnect with Qin Mo!
Shi Qing did not think any more of it, and followed the method taught to him by the manual. First, he’d pay all the points he had, then enter Xia Nuo’s body.
Doing internal repairs on the body was different from transmigrating over. He couldn’t feel Xia Nuo’s pain, but at the same time, he also couldn’t sense everything that was occurring outside of Xia Nuo’s body. Fortunately, a thread of life would still hang in Xia Nuo’s body as long as he was within the body. He wouldn’t die completely, he just wouldn’t be able to awaken.
Shi Qing couldn’t see Qin Mo, nor could he talk to him. In the confined space, he could only use all his strength to throw himself into repairing the body.
Qi Rui was dead, Qi Lu was dead, Qi Zimo was a monster!
He released the power from his dimension and created a huge explosion that nearly destroyed the entire city!
Such an uproar had shaken the entire continent.
The voices of condemnation came one after the other; kill Qi Zimo, remove this monster, get revenge for all those who died!
The government organized a powerful unit of troops to conquer him, and all the major families joined hands as well. All the large regions made their move, and mobilized all their forces just so they could catch that eleven year old monster.
But…it was all for naught.
The most powerful weapons, the bravest troops, and the power of the entire human race were still not enough to hurt him.
Qi Zimo’s power seemed to be endless, and both his attacking and defensive power was strong enough to cover the sky. He was simply unlike anything that should exist in that world at all.
Yes…he wasn’t human. In just one year, he withstood the attacks of the entire world, and quickly formed a unit of his own.
This unit made up of useless dimension carriers possessed insurmountable strength.
They had been abandoned, disdained, and thrown aside by the entirety of society. Their lives were filled with darkness and injustice, but then Qi Zimo appeared. He guided them, and taught them how to use their powers. In that endless darkness, light appeared, pulling them up from the mud so that they could stand in the clouds!
The useless dimensions were not useless at all.
They had power stronger than anyone else in this world. They could release those energies, control them, and step on those arrogant, rude, and self-righteous people! It was time to give them a taste of the feeling of falling down to hell, to face that endless torture and pain!
The battle swept the whole world, and the useless dimension carriers rose up. They were the strongest fighters, and subverted everything they had to establish their own regime. They finally had the power to control fate!
Through it all, Qi Zimo was their only faith, their only god!
It was a chaotic world, and the darkest era in history, but that was only the beginning of the nightmare, and the tragedy.
Sixteen years old, the most wonderful age.
Qi Zimo’s slightly round face had lost its tenderness, while his roundish eyes had grown narrow and sharp. His appearance was still perfect and exquisite, but due to the difference in age, he now had the passion and beauty that belonged only to teenagers.
He still lived in the old Qi residence, in the same room, without any change. Everyday he would return, hold Shi Qing in his arms, and rest his eyes.
The weather was very good today. The sun shone through the windows and was projected through the cracks in the curtain. Like a playful little fairy, it jumped onto the bed and illuminated the peaceful sleeping body of the young man. The brilliance enhanced the warm colour of his skin’s rosiness for anyone to see.
Qi Zimo watched him silently. Then, he put on a smile, and dropped a very light kiss on his forehead before whispering, “Shi Qing, it’s time to wake up.”
The person in bed didn’t respond at all, but Qi Zimo was not angry in the slightest. He bent down to lift him up, and carefully dressed him. From beginning to end, his black eyes were covered with an intoxicating warmth and a doting expression. It was as if he was coaxing his lover who was throwing a tantrum.
After putting on his clothes, Qi Zimo carried him up. Then, the two sat together by the window. He held him, and allowed him to lean in his embrace. Then, he held his hands, and they looked out the window together, “Shi Qing, the flowers are blooming outside.”
The person in his arms did not respond.
Qi Zimo smiled, and spoke softly by his ear, “But not even the prettiest flower could compare to you.”
Following that, Qi Zimo felt an itch in his heart, and couldn’t help planting a kiss on that fair neck. Then, he held him in satisfaction, and looked out the window peacefully.
That was until a knock came from the door.
Qi Zimo raised a brow, then said, “Come in.”
The door was pushed open, and a short-haired young man entered. After the last five years, the slender teen had now grown taller, his shoulders grew wider, and his back firmer. The long days of battle had also made him a steadier man.
Yan Qi hung his head and reported the situation on the frontlines in a quiet voice.
Qi Zimo responded, “Got it.”
If it was the usual, then Yan Qi would have left at that time, but he stood in place without moving.
Qi Zimo frowned and gazed up at him, “Anything else?”
Yan Qi stood without moving, and lowered his head towards the ground. It had been five years, and too many things had happened within that time. The entire world had been flipped over onto its back, but Qi Zimo’s feelings for Shi Qing never faded at all. They actually became even more intense
At the beginning, Yan Qi had also looked forward to the day when Shi Qing would finally wake up. When he had been isolated, it was Shi Qing who saved his young master. He knew how important this man was to his young master.
But a year passed, then two…three…until now, it had already been five years! Shi Qing wouldn’t ever wake up!
Unfortunately, his young master had already completely sunk into the dream world he had knitted for himself. If that went on, he was worried that his young master would never be able to walk out of it. He would be immersed within it forever, and he’d never be able to extricate himself!
Yan Qi clenched his fists and knelt down onto the ground. Bringing out his courage to face even death, he opened his mouth with difficulty, “Master, please allow Mr. Shi to rest in peace!”
As soon as he said those words, a black light suddenly shot over. Yan Qi’s left arm was covered in sharp pain in an instant; following that, blood started to flow down.
Qi Zimo gathered Shi Qing into his arms and stood up. His black eyes were cold like immortal ice, and his voice was like a crack in a frozen lake, “Scram! Get out of my sight!”
