Training grounds in the Guilds were generally underground. This was so the loud voices and explosions of spells wouldn’t disturb the city public during the Adventurer battles.
But in places where they couldn’t make it underground for financial reasons, they just borrowed vacant land in the suburbs and held the training practices there.
Stollar had ample funds in that regard, so they built quite a sturdy training ground.
As we walked in the corridor, the Guild staff’s gazes were pricking at us.
This wasn’t the usual gazes focused on our appearance, but ones coming out of vigilance.
The monitoring inside the Guild had turned stricter ever since Kufar disguised himself as Maxwell in the United Northern Alliance.
But another reason for this was… the appearances of the newbies behind us.
It looked like they dressed like that to not be underestimated, but they went too overboard with it.
It wouldn’t be weird for them to be mistaken for some scoundrels like this.
People like that were walking through the Guild that had upped their vigilance, so it was no surprise we were getting sharp stares.
However, one of us was worried about something else entirely.
“N-Nicole, will we be okay?”
“Yeah, no problem. Besides, they are total amateurs, so there’s no way we’d lose, you know?”
“That’s because you and Cloud are too strong so you can remain composed.”
“You seem to be forgetting that you’re the one with the most lethal power among us, Michelle.”
After all, she took down the Strike Boar when she was seven, and Mountain Serpent when she was ten, and there were her other glorious performances like when she trampled the group of Goblins.
That achievement went to Priscilla though, but if that’s what allowed her to marry Elliot, I suppose it was worth it.
“You sure talk big. You think we’d lose to brats like you?”
“We were quite famous in our hometown, you know?”
“What he said. The villagers all parted ways for us when they saw us.”
“Given your faces, of course, they would. Even I’d do the same. I’d not want to get involved with you.”
A trio with mohawk hair and spiky pads look like the kind of people that spell trouble. I wouldn’t wanna get involved with them even in the past life. I didn’t want to even now, but what is done is done.
As we arrived at the training grounds, the other Adventurers looked at us, wondering what was going on.
It was the usual thing for us to be under attention, so we just ignored them and entered the training grounds.
“So, what do we do?”

Michelle nodded at first, but then realized it was about her and yelped in shock.
This girl really has no self-awareness, her every action is adorable.
“You were the one who was looked down on, Michelle, so you should take them on don’t you think?”
