Chapter 32: Go On An Errand

Chapter 32

Knock Knock!

There was a silent knock on the door. It pulled both Levian and Sherry back to reality. Levian raised his head to look at the door. Was it Roy? Sherry too looked at Levian in questioning gaze.

“Enter.”

Upon getting the confirmation from his voice, the door opened with a creaking sound. Both of them immediately recognized the silhouette that stood in the door.

“Roy,” Both Levian and Sherry shouted out in unison when they saw him. When he had left, he looked perfectly normal. But now, there was something wrong about him.

That red liquid on his forehead…was that blood? Sherry turned ghastly pale upon seeing the man stumble inside the room.

“What’s wrong? Why are you injured?” Sherry asked in horror as he helped him inside the room. She beat Levian to it. Before he even had chance to help the guy in, Sherry had reacted to the man almost immediately.

“Hah,” a helpless sigh left his mouth. Whatever the situation, she was still sitting by her principles as a doctor. He did not know whether to laugh or cry.

His expression immediately stiffened as he turned his attention to Roy. He had asked him to retrieve the CCTV footage to the hospital to see where the old uncle and aunt of Sherry had gone after leaving Bella there.

They had not come home and they were also not in contact range at the moment. It was weird as they suddenly disappeared after their crimes came to the light. It was something simple. He had thought they were in hiding and waiting for the correct time to take care of all the things.

But seeing as to how Roy had returned with injuries all over his body, he knew things were not as simple as it seemed.

“What’s wrong? Who attacked you?” Levian asked to be certain. There was other explanation to this as well. After all, he could have gotten into some sort of accident. But Roy’s driving skill was top notch. He was enough witness to prove it. So there was no way he was in accident.

That left the room for other possibilities. He got attacked but by whom was the question. He pretty much had many enemies around him but he doubted they would be foolish enough to attack his men when he was in power.

“No boss, I got in a small accident when returning back, there is nothing much about this,” Roy shrugged his shoulder showing an embarrassed smile. He was pretty much okay apart from the mild concussion on his head.

Levian looked at him for a bit.

“If you say so,” he nodded his head. “So, what were you able to find? Did you see trace of those two?” He asked. Sherry who had rushed into the room with first aid kit and cleaning his wound paused at the mention of her uncle and aunt.

Levian had thought about this thing way earlier than he had. While she was caught up with her own troubles, Levian was thinking two steps ahead of her.

Once again, she was in debt of him.

“Tha-”

“You don’t have to thank me, I am just doing my part of job according to contract,” Levian stopped her before she could complete her sentence. “You just do your job peacefully.”

Sherry sighed and nodded her head. What was she? Just a small insignificant doctor who could do nothing more outside of her field of expertise.

Roy looked at the girl who was cleaning hi wound.

“Thank you doctor means a lot,” he said with a smile which was accompanied with a flirtaous wink.

Sherry let out a small scoff when she saw him being playful. The cut on his forehead was not that deep but it was not small either. Seeing that he was enduring the pain made her see Roy in a better light. She smiled at him, a real smile before continuing with her work.

Levian saw her smile at Roy. The expression on his face distorted a bit as he thought about how she only gave him crying face and forced smile.

“Tsk,” he clicked his tongue in displeasure. He was not feeling jealous at all.

“Ow, doc, that hurts,” Roy cried out when Sherry slightly increased the pressure she was applying. Roy scratched his hair in an embarrassed smile. He was taken by surprise and could not help but yelp out in pain.

“Pfft, alright I will be gentle,” Sherry chuckled. Helping others with her own strength was something that always made her smile, no matter how shitty the circumstance was.

“Ahemm,” Levian coughed. Those two were lost in their own world and he was COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN by them!!!

Roy stopped himself from smiling as he could feel the murderous aura that his boss was emitting. He took out the drive from his pocket and gave it to Levian.

“This is the CCTV footage that recorded the two couple rushing out of the hospital exactly at midday after bring in a pregnant patient,” Roy informed him. He had seen the footage before in the security room but he asked them for a copy of the entire thing just so he did not miss anything.

Plus, if Levian saw it himself, he was bound to find more clues about what could have happened.

“Good job,” Levian said as he turned over the USB in his hand. Meanwhile, Sherry was finally done bandaging his head. She wrote something down in a paper and handed it to Levian.

Levian looked in surprise at the paper he was given. He looked a bit confused as he looked at it.

“What is this?”

“It’s a paper with list of medicine for him, buy them at the pharmacy,” Sherry said with a shrug as if it was a matter of fact.

“Since he is an injured patient, he needs to take rest. You buy them for him,” she said while taking off her surgical gloves. She sterilized the scissor and the other instruments in an antiseptic solution.

“Pfft,” Roy wanted to applaud Sherry for this. It was the first time someone had asked Levian to run an errand and not the other way around.

Sherry saw him still standing and sighed.. His face looked mature and even his body was as good as sculpted but aiyo! He seemed unable to even go shopping by himself.
