Chapter 10: Kimimaro

Kimimaro's POV----------------------------------------

Two week ago-

I have been locked up ever since I can  remember, I didn't know how the outside world looked like, felt like. All I know is that I am a weapon for my clan and my job is to fight and kill my clan's enemies.

One particular day I heard loud shouting and cheers from the outside and as I was wondering what was happening the door to my cage as I called it opened and came my father or the clan head.

I looked towards him as did he and he smiled weirdly and said in a weird tone 

"Your time has come Kimimaro! go out and show them the might of the Kaguya Clan! this is what you were made for"

I just nodded to him and started walking out of the cage I have been for my entire life. After I was out I could see a lot of clan members. They were all talking about how excited they were to kill and show their ferocity. 

I didn't pay much attention to them as I could tell they were weak just by looking at them. I hate weak people, especially weak people who act arrogant.

After a while the Clan Head also walked out and after giving a speech about proving and showing the ferocity of our clan to the world the whole clan went on to attack Kiri. 

I was also in the attack as I just fought and killed everyone that came my way and they were mostly weak to my annoyance but I didn't show it in my face.

A few days have passed lot of my clan have died and we are outnumbered. The Clan Head is also died fighting a ninja with a weird sword that looks like a needle and string.

It's been a week after I was released from my cage and I'm currently wandering looking for food. The attack failed and all my Clan members died. I don't feel anything about them as they were clearly weak and idiotic. Even I can see that fighting while being outnumbered 1 to 10 is suicide.

I have been wandering around for a while now as I look for anything to eat. I usually pick fruits that grow in the wild to eat as I don't know how to cook.

While I was drinking from a river I found, I heard a rustling sound from the corner and I immediately put my guard up as there may be ninjas still chasing me.

But instead of a ninja what came out was a girl that looks the same age as me, she had jet black hair with a pretty face, she wore a black jacket with the front open, under it was a silver shirt. Black pants that are slightly baggy and strange sandals that covers her entire feet with a sharp metal front.

What surprised me more than her attire was the strength I felt from her. I'm not sure if I would be able to win if I fought her but if I am to fight than I will gladly do so. I also have yet to find the meaning of my life as my clan is dead. I don't really have a reason to live now.

The girl looked at me and smiled. I was curious as to what made her smile, she walked towards me with the smile still on her face and after she was in front of me, she just held her arm out and said

"Nice to meet you, I was not expecting to find someone here. And if you don't mind me asking what are you doing here all alone...are you lost?"

I just look at her for a while then just shake her still outstretched hand and said In a calm tone

"I have nowhere to go as my entire Clan is dead, I'm just wandering around to look for a purpose."

"Oh are you a Kaguya Clan member? I heard they were all killed. Hey if you survived than does that mean you hid away?"

"No I would never hide away from a fight. I'm not a coward!"

'There is no way I would ever hide. i have my own pride too.'

"Then that means you strong right. Hmmmm... hey do you mind if we fight, I've been looking for strong opponents to fight, most people I fight are either bandits or my my little brother and that's mostly spars. So do you wanna?"

That came as a surprise. I didn't think she would just ask me to a fight. I thought she was a ninja that came to capture me, but now I'm not too sure anymore.

I think about her offer for a bit, if I fight there is a chance that I die. But I don't really have much to loose, and I too want to fight a strong opponent.

"Ok I accept your challenge. But do we fight right here or somewhere else?"

"Here is fine, and attack with intent to kill or you'll die ok."

"That's fine by me"

She then went towards the river and picked a small stone. She came back with the rock in her hands then turned to me with a smile and said

"When this rock hits the ground we start ok?"

"Ok"

She then threw the rock up and then we waited. I got ready by pulling out my upper arm bone and shaped it as a sword. She too made a chain and a scythe from nowhere. I was surprised at first but calmed down quickly.

'I'll have to be careful for any surprises. I don't know what she used to make them'

So we waited for the rock to hit and after a second

*crack*

We both rushed at each other. Before I got close she joined her chain and scythe then swung it towards me. I immediately jumped back, she has more reach than me so I have to be more careful with my attacks.

I Immediately fired my Ten Finger Drilling Bullet towards her and just as they were about to hit her a shield of steel formed from her chain. Then it changed into a spear which she threw towards me.

I dodged the spear then ran towards her again as her chain is gone. We both engaged in close combat, she used her scythe very masterfully almost as if it were part of her body. I too swung and slashed by sword, I never trained using a sword or trained how to fight. It just came as instincts to me.

A swing here, I blocked with my sword then I slashed at her to which she blocked with her scythe then she made a dagger then proceeded to stab my chest. I quickly made my ribcage denser and wider to block her. Then we proceeded to go back and forth swinging and stabbing our weapons not getting a clear hit on each other for an hour.

I used most of my dances on her but she made a shield or wall to block most of them. I decided to finish it as I was getting exhausted. I made bones stick out  then decided to use my last dance. I immediately sprung towards her dodging her attacks and defences. 

As I was about to hit her something surprising happened. Her whole body got turned black with a savage look. I quickly tried to stab her but my bone sword just broke, I was surprised but got out of it quickly by a slash from her arms.

I quickly got up again and this time I pulled out my spine and attacked her again but she just shrugged it off with a slash from her claws. Her fighting style changed drastically, she didn't use any weapons, just her body.

As I was deciding what to do next she stood up straight then her body began to return to normal. She looked at me then with a smile she said

"That was the best fight I had in my life, I didn't think you'd be so good at Kenjutsu and Taijutsu. Say what's your name?"

I decided to tell her as I clearly lost. I couldn't even hurt her with that jutsu.

"Kimimaro, Kaguya Kimimaro. And whats your name?"

"Well nice to meet you Kimimaro, my name is Hana, Kuroi Hana"

"Say Kimimaro you told me that you have nowhere to go right? how about you follow me. I want to travel and see every land in the elemental nations and fight strong people with my brother, you can also join our family. What do you think?"

I think about it for a while, I certainly have nowhere to go and no purpose to fill but maybe travelling with her and her brother will give me my purpose in life.

"Yes. From today I Kimimaro pledge my loyalty to my master Hana."

"Haha you don't have to pledge loyalty I'm not a queen or anything"

"Its a form of respect from me master"

"Then I won't allow it because from today we are family so you'll have to call me big sister no need to be formal. Sound good?"

"Yes...big sister" 

"Haha now that's a lot better, ok now come follow me I found a place for you to stay for a while"

"Only me??"

"Oh I'm a shadow clone. The real me is coming towards here right now with your new brother, so you'll have to wait there for a while"

'What!!! I was fighting and lost to a clone! If her clone is this strong I wonder how the real her self is?'

We walked for an hour while talking about our lives, I didn't really talk much but I enjoyed it. Then after a while we reached a cave hidden by some bushes that is hard to spot if your not looking for it.

Her clone then turned to me and said with a smile

"Ok you wait here for a few days, there are food in the cave and there's spring not far from her in the east. My real self will reach here in about a week. Don't worry it won't take too long" 

"Don't worry I can handel it, it's nothing compared to being locked up for your entire life"

"Ok then I'm gonna dispel...TA TA" 

And like that she was gone. I then entered the cave and it was surprisingly clean with a sleeping bag with a lot of fruits and other dried food.

"I think I should train for this week. I don't want to burden big sister by being useless"
