Chapter 7: Haku

"WHAT! only a thousand ryos! I don't get paid enough for this. I thought they would be richer, there were more than 40 bandits DAMN IT. *inhale*..*exhale*...It's fine, a thousand ryos will be enough for now I don't need to buy equipment anyway so a thousand ryos is good enough..."

And after that I went out of the hideout and continued on my way to find Haku.

1 week later in a random village.......

A group of drunk villagers were talking to each other in a bar

"Hey, have you heard *hic* there was an incident in the village south from here *hic*. I heard that there was a woman who was secretly a Kekkei Genkai user. After her husband found out *hic* he called other villagers and killed her....I heard she had a child and after the husband killed his wife *hic* he tried to kill the child too but the child used a Kekkei Genkai and killed most of them....I heard the others were so scared that they immediately ran away..."

"I also heard about that..It happened not too long ago. Man are those Kekkei Genkai users dangerous, it's a good thing the purge is happening right now...can you imagine if one of them decided to kill an entire village, we would all stand no chance...no one should have that much power..."

They continued talking not knowing about a hooded figure at the end of a bar drinking...juice...

'Heh idiots. If only they knew that even a Chunnin can wipe out this village if they're  good enough like Itachi when he was young...but I got the information I came here for'

The figure then tossed some ryos on the counter and went out of the bar and went towards the direction of the village the drunk talked about...

'The transformation jutsu is really useful in these types of situation when there are no other ninjas'

"I need to hurry a bit as the civil war is on the horizon. Oh god, I'm an idiot!"

After leaving the village I Immediately making 2 shadow clones I instructed them to go to Kiri. 

"Man I'm such an idiot. I could have done this a long time ago! I hate you past me"

"*signs* No need to cry over spilled milk...now the guy said it was South of here...uhhh which way is South again?"

So I had to go back and ask for directions and after that I for real went towards the village the drunk talked about.

It was only a day of travel to get there. It was a snowy village, not gonna lie it was a nice change of scenery. When I got there I immediately used my new jutsu or just spreading out my chakra to detect other chakra signatures. I figured that it will help a lot when trying to find others so I learned it after some days of practicing.

Concentrating on my Chakra Sense as I call it, I could almost cover the whole village. I could see or sense people moving around and from their bodies I could sense chakra. They didn't have much chakra as they were civilians but at the far corner of the village i could sense a chakra almost triple the amount of the civilians.

I Immediately went towards it and after a while I was at an ally way and there I saw a child, cloths torn and ragged, dirt all over with dead eyes. And for the first time in this world I felt pity,anger,sadness and other emotions.

Even if I had seen the fillers about Haku's backstory in my past life but seeing it first hand is completely different and was reminded again that I live in this world now. The characters that I saw in the anime are living and breathing people here and the idea I had of saving those characters turned from a simple idea to a goal.

Cancelling my transformation I went towards him and after getting closer he finally sensed me approaching and quickly backed away.

This simple reaction made me feel sadder as I imagined Alex's daughters in his place. No child should suffer like this for stupid reasons like he or she possessed a bloodline or other bullshit. Even if the power the villagers fear is the Kekkei Genkai, that doesn't mean every user is bad. Haku's mother also wanted a peaceful life but after finding out his wife and child having a bloodline her husband forgot the love and compassion of his wife and was overtaken by fear. I don't think I'll be able to forgive my father if he did something like that.

Looking at him I immediately ran out of the alley. I could see him make a sad face as I ran out. I hurried over to a dango shop and hurriedly ordered two plates of dango(a plate has 3 sticks with 3 dangos in each stick). After waiting for a while I got the dango and tossing the money on the counter I hurried back.

After I got back to the alley I Immediately went towards him and with a smile I offered the dangos to him. He was surprised as I could see some happiness in his dead eyes for a moment and he pointed at himself 

"For me?..."

"Yes for you, but if you don't want it I could take it back.."

He hurriedly took the dango and quickly ate it. I could see some tears in his eyes. After he was done I could see him have a realisation and with a blush on his face 

"Thank you big sister"

"Hehe no need to thank me, I bought them for you to eat after all. You can eat the rest too before they become cold in this weather. And you don't need to call me big sister, we are the same age I think.."

"No, you gave me food and talked to me and showed me kindness, so it's only natural for me address you with respect"

"Oh, you are very smart for your age"

"it's because I read a lot of books when I was still with my parents"

I'm surprised he didn't cry when he talked about his parents, but thinking about it I'm pretty sure he cried a lot at first but surviving in the streets must have steeled his mind or he's dead inside. But he's also very kind like in the anime, worrying about someone he met just. But he's still a bit naive, trusting people so easily. But I can fix that

"I'm sorry to hear that...you still haven't told me your name. My name is Kuroi Hana, what's yours?"

"Haku, Yuki Haku..."

"I'm sorry to hear that Haku, but you don't have to worry about me as these villagers can't even touch me im very strong you know. Even if they did i can always escape easily and go back towards kiri"

"You're not from here?"

"Yea, I'm travelling the land of water. In the future I'm planning to travel the whole elemental nations...say Haku you don't have any attachment to this place right? How about you follow me?"

Haku was surprised for a moment before he smiled and said

"Of course. I don't have any attachment to this place, I would be happy to follow you. But are you sure you want me to follow you? what if I can't control my bloodline and end up causing trouble for you?"

"haha you don't have to worry about it. I will teach you how to control it. It's really easy to control you know"

"Does that mean big sister also has a bloodline like me?"

"Yep. Awesome right. Now come on let's get you some new clothes and more food to eat, I can't have you exhausted on our journey"

"Ok teacher.."

"Uh...no, just call me big sis that's way better than being called teacher"

"Ok big sis"
