Turning his head in the direction of the voice, Makatoshi and his two subordinates saw a man walking towards them with an easy step. His white robes were clean and shone in the rising sun, as if showing novelty. Contrary to them, the man's face looked a little pale, with visible exhaustion.

But this was not what Makatoshi first drew attention to. He knew this man and his most notable characteristics and characteristic features. Surprisingly, at the moment Makatoshi was observing something new. What attracted the gaze of an adult Uchiha was a surprisingly light smile on Ame's lips, from which the man felt a chill. Raising his gaze a little higher, Makatoshi looked into the eyes that looked back, cold, with the presence of anger. Swallowing reflexively, he looked away and, trying as calmly as possible, without giving a sign, said.

-  I'm sorry, Ame... san. All this "little information" was like a snowball. And I would like to find out at least a little about the situation before meeting with you.

Stopping in front of the trio of Uchih, Ame continued to put pressure on them with his heavy gaze, paused. Finally deciding that this was enough, he looked away from the young ones covered in cold sweat and looked at Rakosi.

- The Daimyo has already woken up, and I have notified him of the current situation, so go to him and help him prepare for departure.

- Hai!

Listening from the side, Makotoshi was surprised inwardly. Looking at the missing lock, he thought.

"So the daimyo is alive, but he suffered and the Hyugas decided to evacuate him. Hmm, apparently the mission will end sooner than expected… Not good."

- Follow me. – Having sent Rakoshi away, Ame cast a fleeting glance at the trio, calmly spoke, jumping off the wall.

Blowing from the basement, the wind shook the fabric of the awning covering the knocked out and slightly askew doorway. Several candles and kerosene lamps placed around the perimeter partially illuminated a fairly spacious room. Although for a normal person, this illumination would be insufficient and he would probably have to peer with effort.

The arrangement of the room itself was meager, which is why every small-scale sound clearly produced a small echo. In addition to several beds brought definitely from another place, on which lay panting silhouettes and pairs of shifted tables with maps spread out on them, there were bedside tables with medical supplies arranged in the room.

On the opposite side of the entrance, in the cracked wall, there was another passage curtained with fabric. Being picked up by a through draft, the fabric fluttered a little, allowing to penetrate into the room, which smelled of dampness and medical odors, a barely noticeable smell of rotting that had begun.

Occasionally interrupting the heavy breathing coming from the beds and the rustling of the candle fire in the wind, the sounds of brush movements and the rustle of paper could be heard around the room. Sitting at the table, pushing away the maps of the surrounding area, a boy of nine or ten years old, quickly wrote dozens of characters on a small, rectangular, rather dense sheet of paper.

When he finished drawing symbols on another piece of paper, as if was as if he had already done it more than once, directed a sufficient amount of chakra into it. Under its influence, the symbols on the piece of paper came to life, starting to form a hieroglyph "explosion" in the very center. The remaining remnants of ink, turning red, surrounded the inscription, taking it into a circle, from which smooth strings of small symbols dispersed to the four corners.

After casting a fleeting glance at his work with eyes slightly closed with fatigue, the boy, without a fraction of satisfaction, put the already ready explosive seal into one of the stacks of exactly the same seals lying nearby. Some of the stacks of seals stacked level with each other, of which there were probably more than one hundred, and maybe a thousand, were tied crosswise with a rope.

Will stretch out my hand, the boy, without even looking, took a new piece of paper from the stack, which was also lying nearby. Continuing his "automation of production", began to quickly output another string of characters. It took less than ten seconds for the next explosive seal to fit neatly into the stack of finished ones.

When the little palm was about to take another blank sheet of paper, the sounds from the outside made the boy stop. Removing his hand, he opened his heavy eyelids, shifting his tired eyes to the dense awning that began to move aside. Pushing it aside, a handsome middle-aged man entered, followed by three other people of different ages.

- Samato, how is your task going? – Smiling, the man asked, calmly walking through the room, not wanting to pay attention to the people who began to carefully inspect the room, following him.

After carefully examining three previously unfamiliar faces, Samato again lowered his eyelids a little and, holding his chin, rested his elbow on the wooden surface of the table. After thinking for a few seconds, he spoke in a stretched and vague way.  – Hmm, I think a couple of days and the required amount will be enough.

- OK.  Glancing at the stacks of seals, Ame sighed inwardly sadly. – I think at this point you should stop and rest. It's not enough for you to come down with a strong chakra exhaustion.

- Yes, I was already planning to finish. – To look with empty eyes at a group of black-haired people, he added. – Do you need my help in the examination?

Also looking at the silent Uchiha, Ame shook his head with a cold smile. – No, let them do it themselves. If anything, I'll give them your report to look at later.

- Well, that's good. I'm going to get some rest. Call me when the discussion begins.

Jumping down from the box lying on the chair, which allowed him to sit comfortably at the table, Samato crunched his stiff limbs a little. Having finished this action, he, to the dissatisfaction of another so young young man in the room, passed by without even paying attention.

 - Hn.

As soon as the awning closed the passage behind Samato, who left the room, a dissatisfied sound rang through the room, which was ignored by all those who remained.

- They're in the next room. If you were a few more hours late, we would have gotten rid of them by now.

Speaking reproachfully, Ame went to the decorated fabric separating the neighboring room, apparently taken from the ruins of the castle. Approaching the aisle, he stretched out his hand to the side and grabbed the handle, took one of the kerosene lamps suspended from the cracked wall. Makatoshi, who followed Ame, keeping a calm expression on his face, did not comment on the reproach in any way, only casting a warning glance at the subordinates following him.

As soon as the fabric was pushed aside, a strong smell of dampness got into the Uchiha's nose, mixed with a slight smell of the process of rotting that has already begun familiar to almost every ninja. Without wincing at such an unpleasant smell, the trio followed Ame and entered the dark room.

The intermittent light of the kerosene lamp dimly illuminated the room, allowing you to barely see the next couple of meters. But even in these illuminated meters, it was possible to see the outlines of a row of evenly spaced, bare feet falling into the eyes.

Glancing at the outlines of corpses covered with white, thin fabrics lying in an even row, Makatoshi took a couple of steps in their direction, simultaneously activating a fully formed sharingan. Immediately his vision cleared, and his eyes changed color to red with three rotating magatams.

Approaching the nearest corpse in front of him, Makatoshi crouched over him, grabbed a white, soaked sheet and calmly pushed it away, revealing a face driven in from the blow inside. It could be noticed that the nasal and upper jaw bone, under the influence of force, crumbled, digging further into the head. Some fragments of skull bones pierced through the skin and broke through to the outside, and the eyes, due to the absence of lower eyelids, looked blankly, without the possibility of completely closing.

After standing in observation of Makotoshi's actions for several seconds, Ame turned his gaze to the youngest of the Uchiha. Standing a little to the side behind his commander, the boy, with childish interest visible on his face, examined the mutilated corpse. Suddenly, this interesting process was interrupted by a heavy look at the back of his head and a sudden chill that ran down his back, slowly forcing him to turn towards Ame.

As if expecting this, the man with a clanking handed him a kerosene lamp clutched in his hand. – I don't have time to look at useless pieces of flesh together with you. – And shifting his gaze to the only kunoichi who paid attention to him, he added. – Since Makatoshi is busy, I'll give you a report. Let's go.
