The championship trophy disappeared from Jason's hands as he was pulled out of his dream. He woke up as the sound of his alarm began to play.

"It may not mean nothing to y'all

But understand nothing was done for me

So I don't plan on stopping at all

I want this shit forever mayne, ever mayne, ever mayne."

Jason rubbed his eyes a few times before yelling out "Turn off alarm." Despite Jason's shouting the song continued to play.

He then opened his eyes in annoyance before once again shouting out "TURN OFF ALARM!" After seeing that his phone was still playing the song Jason kicked his blanket off and stood up.

With his hair messily covering his face he walked over to his desk and picked up his phone to turn off the alarm.

After finally getting some silence Jason sneered as he looked at his phone "Advanced voice recognition my ass."

He then began to look through his notifications. Most of them were from people online asking him why Tyreek decided to decommit from UCR.

Jason sighed "You guys are buggin me for answers but I'm in the same boat. I have no clue what's going on."

Jason sighed before throwing his phone on top of his bed. Ever since he had gotten the text from Kyle Jason spent the whole day yesterday trying to get in touch with Tyreek.

But despite his efforts he didn't hear a word from Tyreek. After his announcement all of Tyreek's social media accounts had gone silent.

After brushing his teeth and getting dressed Jason made his way to the dinning room. Jason smiled at both of his parents "Morning."

Jason's mom was dressed in a dark blue suit and was typing away on her laptop as the plate of pancakes next to her looked like they were getting cold.

When she heard his voice she turned her head toward Jason and smiled "Morning Jaya. You're up a little early aren't you?"

Jason's dad then laughed as he was washing some dishes in the sink "About five hours early if you want to be specific.

What are you doing up at 6 in the morning Jason?" Jason pulled out a chair and sat down across the table from his mom.

"I was hoping to get a ride with you to the diner if it's cool with you dad. Kyle kinda organized a get together breakfast for all the guys from Jefferson. I mean, for the guys that are still here."

Jason's dad looked at him with a strange look on his face "A get together breakfast? That kind of sounds like something old people would do.

I imagine most kids your age would either sleep in or play some videogames first and just catch up over some burgers or something."

Jason had a slight smile on his face as he shook his head "Yeah. I just didn't have the heart to tell Kyle anything.

This is the first time that he's been in charge of making plans and I didn't want to ruin the moment for him.

I have a feeling that the rest of the guys feel the same way. Kyle didn't even text us. He video called all of us and he seemed so excited."

Jason's dad laughed "Haha alright. Let me finish up these dishes and shower real quick. I'll give you and Kyle a ride to the diner."

Jason gave his dad a thumbs up before turning to his mom "You're starting your work already mom? Don't you normally wake up at 8?"

She kept her eyes on her laptop and continued to type as she answered "I have a big presentation today. Me and your uncle Kim have been working really hard to get this new project approved."

Jason sighed as he looked at his mom continue to type away "You know you can cut back on your hours now mom.

I know it's not a lot but I did just get a million dollars from Nike. You might not be able to quit your job but taking a day off every now and then shouldn't be a problem."

She raised her head up and looked at Jason with a warm smile. She got up from her chair and walked to the other side of the table where Jason was sitting.

She hugged him from behind and kissed him on the top of his head "You are such a sweet boy Jaya. I know that you want to help but don't worry about it.

A kid like you should be worrying about videogames, girls, or your up coming season. You shouldn't be thinking about bills or how many hours your dad and I work."

Jason looked turned his head and looked up at his mom. She let out a chuckle "Alright Jaya. I can read your face crystal clear.

Tell you what, we'll use some of the money that you got to help with some of the bills and I'll try to take some more time off.

But that doesn't mean that I'll be taking too much time off. As much as you want to help me and your dad we also don't want to use up all your money.

That and we still have some pride as parents. We can't just laze around the house and use the money that you worked hard to earn right? What kind of parents would that make us?"

Jason nodded his head before smiling and reaching his hand out "Deal." Jason's mom let out a laugh as she shook his hand in return.

After his mom packed up her laptop and left Jason pulled out his phone and called Kyle. A few minutes later and he heard someone knocking on the door.

Jason smiled as he opened the door "Yo what's up Kyle." Kyle smiled as the two of them fist bumped "Not much. I just woke up when you called."

Jason took a look at Kyle and laughed as he pointed at his shirt "I can tell. Next time you might want to take some time to make sure your clothes are right side out."

Kyle looked down at his shirt and scratched his head in embarrassment as he saw that he was wearing it the wrong side out.

He walked in and took a seat on the couch before taking off his shirt and fixing it real quick. The two of them watched some TV for about thirty minutes before Jason's dad walked out.

After a fifteen minute drive the three of them arrived at the diner. Jason's dad unlocked the doors and let them in as he began to open up the diner.

Jason and Kyle took a seat at one of the tables in the corner. As the workers began to walk in they all waved at Jason and Kyle.

After a little more than twenty minutes of waiting the other guys showed up as Vince, DJ, and Nick walked into the diner.

Kyle waved them down with his long arm and the three of them sat down at their table. Jason and Kyle dapped them all up.

Jason smiled as he looked at DJ "Ay check it out. DJ looking fresh as hell with the new cut." DJ had grown out the top of his hair a bit and bleached a two inch wide strip that was closer to the left side.

DJ laughed "Haha thanks bro. But it looks like I'm not the only one that's changed in the two weeks you were gone."

Vince nodded his head "Is it just me or did you beef up a bit Jaya? You don't look like a stick as much as you did before."

Nick took a long look at Jason before turning his head to the two sitting beside him "You're right Vince! Jaya actually managed to put on some weight."

Jason shook his head with a slight smile on his face "I only managed to gain about ten pounds after stuffing myself like crazy for two weeks but thanks for noticing."

Kyle laughed as he added "No offense Jaya but you're so skinny that any change in your weight is noticeable."

As they were talking the doors of the diner opened up as Matt walked in. He smiled as he saw the five of them and walked toward their table.

He took a seat next to Kyle as everyone dapped him up and greeted him. Matt took a look at Jason "Whoa, did you put on some weight Jaya?"

After he said that all of the guys started laughing. After putting in their orders the six of them began to chat as they told each other about what they had been up to during these past two weeks.

As they were eating DJ laughed as he saw Jason clean up his third plate "Good to see that the high calorie diet didn't ruin your appetite."

Jason swallowed the food that was in his mouth before responding "At least the food here has some flavor. You wouldn't believe the bland ass shit they had me eating back at the training camp."

After they were all done eating and catching up Kyle's expression turned serious "So any news from Tyreek?"

Jason shook his head as he pulled out his phone "Nothing bro. I tried calling, texting, and I even tried to hit him up on all of his socials. Looks like we'll have to stop by his place if we want to get any answers."
