Chapter 3: Chapter 3 – Emiya and Yotsuba

"All Magicians in the world were divided into several so-called Orders based on several aspects. Right now, all Magicians are divided into Zero-Order, Combat-Order, Tactical-Order, and finally strongest and last on the ladder, Strategic-Order.

Zero-Order is a person who just unlocked his Psion Limiter, which connects one to Eidos and can manipulate Psions and Pushions.

Combat-Order, Tactical-Order, or Strategic-Order, Magician must cast a corresponding Spell to fall onto this classification. This, in turn, is composed of several things that need to be fulfilled. They are: 1st, is sufficient ability of Magician is interference in Eidos and rewrite it,

2nd is the Capacity of the Psion and Pushion Manipulation Scale or called Magic Sequence,

3rd is the Processing Power of the Magic Calculation Area, and

4th is sufficient knowledge of the Spell Model and how it will interact with the real world and other aspects.

The 4th aspect is crucial because if sufficient knowledge is absent, the Magician can easily make a mistake during the process of Rewriting Eidos or creating Magic Sequence, which in turn can cause Magic Sequence to self-explode and often kills the Magician."

Two months later, October 2062

It was one month after that unfortunate event.

One of the most shocking things that happened was that Yotsuba Maya and Emiya Kiritsugu started dating. This shocked all of the school students; even Maya's former fianceé Saegusa Koichi was taken aback. One time he even tried to "explain" himself to Maya but was beaten black and blue by her boyfriend.

Kiritsugu especially hated him with passion, as he knew types of people like him. The only reason why he wanted Maya back was to improve his own social standing, nothing more and nothing less. These kinds of people would sell their own families for benefits or power.

Concerning Maya's family, the Yotsubas were very supportive of Maya's choice. Choosing a very young magician who could assassinate Strategic-Order magicians was an extraordinary boon for the family. Not talking about the fact that Kiritsugu was also a very decent Magic Engineer.

Thus Kiritsugu spent two months very peacefully and happily. On the other side, Maya was also glad. She was happy when she was with him and even felt that she could love him. He was kind, pleasant, attentive to her needs, always listened to her, helped her train with Magic or physical combat, and even taught her Ninjutsu.

"Come on, Kiritsugu, or we will be late for meeting with father."

Said Maya as she pushed Kiritsugu to board the limousine.

"Going."

They were currently going to Yotsuba Village.

It was a mountain village where the Yotsuba resided in a narrow valley not recorded on any map, which is in the old Yamanashi Prefecture that bordered the old Nagano Prefecture. Due in part to the village not being recorded on any map.

The village itself was hidden deep within a mountain range valley; to even get there, one needed to have the enormous talent to solve sequences of mind interference magic, and even if someone managed to break through the magic sequences, then the village itself was actually like a small fortress, with walls, watchtowers and with several hundred villagers, each ready to fight and die for Yotsuba.

When they arrived at the village, they went straight to the Main House, where a person could go only when Family Head personally invited them. Before the Main House, there was already a person waiting for them. It was a middle-aged man wearing black kimono with a dragon-like pattern.

"Otou-sama."

Greeted Maya.

"Genzou-sama."

Greeted Kiritsugu as he bowed slightly.

Yotsuba Genzou was a man that valued family above everything else, despite his cold demeanor. He hugged his younger daughter before scanning Kiritsugu with his piercing glare from the tips of his toes to his head.

"Come inside; there is cold outside already."

Both Maya and Kiritsugu then went inside the Main House. The main house looked like a typical eastern building from the outside, but you would see the western decoration when you entered.

"It is a pleasure to see a living descendant of the Emiya Clan. I have known your father, Norikata. My condolences for your loss."

Stated Yotsuba Genzou as he looked at Kiritsugu, who tensed a bit. Not many people knew his lineage; many thought that Emiya wasn't even a magician family. That was a mistake... they were a family of magicians specializing primarily in assassinations.

"Thank you, Genzou-sama."

Thanked him Kiritsugu after a short time.

"Sama? Soon enough, you would call me a father-in-law, hahaha"

Laughed Genzou a bit as he looked at Maya, who blushed and attempted to hide behind Kiritsugu. Together they went to the meeting room, where already several people were waiting for them. Most of them were the same age as Genzou, while some were already in elderlies.

They all looked at him with curiosity before nodding their head in agreement. All of them were aware of his status and strength and even his lineage. After they sat down, Yotsuba Genzou started to talk.

"The reason why I have called you all here, including the boyfriend of my daughter, is the retaliation against the Dahan. They must perish, especially Kunlunfang Institute."

Said Yotsuba Genzou with venom in his voice.

"The problem is our small numbers. With rough estimation, every member of Yotsuba can take more than a hundred enemies himself, but how many of us would fall. We need to plan this perfectly to prevent an unnecessary loss of lives."

Voiced his opinion, Yotsuba Eisaku, younger brother of Genzou.

"I have already thought about this. This is a reason why I have invited Mr. Emiya here, who could be the best assassin than Magus Killer of Family, famous for training the best assassins."

Smiled Genzou as he looked at Kiritsugu, who just nodded in agreement.

If the Yotsuba would start a war with Dahan, he would gladly join in.

"If I may say something, I have several ideas about reducing losses of Yotsuba to a minimum. It is a project that took decades to create, and soon, this discovery would make waves in the world." Said Kiritsugu as he took out a small gem from his pocket.

"This is artificially created ruby with Magic, enough Psions and Pushios with some ordinary coil. What is special about this gem is that it has a spell recorded inside it. When you take this gem and throw it, the Sequence would activate and release the spell. Watch."

Explained Kiritsugu as he threw the gem on the ground, and a small fire was created. Everyone watched this in wonder and shock.

"We could use gems with highly Explosive Magic recorded there to bomb important governmental places in Dahan. Also, we could record healing sequences, so the person performing the tasks could use the gem to heal himself. Defensive Magic is also possible, though you need to feed it with Psions constantly. The only thing to activate the Sequence Gem is to insert Psions into it. This is a project that my father started, and now after more than twenty years of research, it is soon nearing completion."

After he finished his explanation, silence took over the place.
