The chaotic murmurs of ethereal voices that caused Satou so much of his sharp throbbing headache gradually receded into void. The grogginess that weight heavily on all his senses finally seem to lift off, and after how long he had been in this coma of his, he had finally awoken.
“Aughh—” Satou moaned out, finding his sharp pains too much to bear as it coursed through his body in waves of raids. Fortunately for him, he felt them gradually abate by the seconds.
In his stupor, he tried to get up; and though he could not tell whether stood or hanged with his sense of orientation in shambles, he nonetheless felt like doing so now. He tried to move his limbs, but found it beyond him to do so. Like in a dream, his body seemed to not obey the dictates of his mind.
Augh, why am I on the floor? Did I fall of my bed? Why can’t I move? An-And am I, ill?
Not understanding his situation, the thought of being sick scared him a bit. But as he tried again, he found it no better than his last try.
Forget it, all I can do is wait for now… I hope it’s nothing too serious. I don’t want to end up dying from something like this…
It was then that something stood illogical stood out to him.
Is this stone?
As he sensed the floor on which he laid with his fingers, he found it cold and hard. But his room’s floor was made of wood!
It was then that an epiphany hit him, and like the gates holding back a tide that had just opened, he began to remember it all. As more questions of doubts began pouring in, his heart began to sink deeper and deeper.

I-I was at school. It was supposed to be recess. Then that blinding light, it…
He finally remembered it all.
I-I have to get up!
And with that thought, he pushed himself with all his strength. Unlike his previous few attempts, he found himself with more strength to do so.
With his new-found strong urge to wake up, he forced himself to move with all his might. His fingers first twitched, then his arms, and slowly but surely, as his limbs seemed to find its grease, he finally with a great difficulty forced himself to sit upright. Leaning to his side with his right arm, he scanned his surrounding with an anxious look on his face.
At first, everything appeared in pastels of yellow, brown, and black. Forcing himself all of a sudden it seems, had caused him to partially grey-out for a few seconds. But as that hazy glass in front of his eyes faded away, he finally saw his new surrounding for the first time.
He found himself inside a spacious chamber of an ancient and lofty sorts. Braziers burned in soft yellow flames in each cardinal direction, and all around him on the raised circular platform on which he laid, were many of his classmates, unconscious and asleep all around him.
“Where am I…” Satou muttered t— No! This was someone else!
Satou frightened by the sudden new voice, quickly turned around towards the voice’s origin. There, just a few meters behind him, he found one of his female classmates half-laid just like him. She listlessly stared around her new surroundings with a dazed look of her face.
When their eyes met, they found themselves lost for words to say; but the awkward atmosphere lasted merely for a few seconds, as others began to rise up one by one.
Then, after some time passed, when everyone seemed to have woken up from their sleep, the platform on which they rested began to slowly rise up.
