She dragged the Uchiha outside and into a Jungle....stopping for a moment she stared at it and then putting it into the folder called her favorite cousin, no longer paying attention to it.
"You, what is your Name again?" she looked at him, knowing she must make an uncomfortable sight, once a traitor always a traitor, and although she had reasons she knew her actions would not be without consequences. Not that she cared, she cared nothing for people that were not personally important for one reason or another. She even cared for that damn madman Emeraude more than for a stranger, and be it just to see Chloe finally bite the dust for good.
"Shiusi Uchiha." he answered her, mustering her with a mixture of distrust and skepticism.
That name rings a bell...but it doesn't really matter right now.
"Good Shisui Uchiha, I may not get a chance to ever do this again, as I said I am a fugitive right now and my time is precious." She stepped forward and stared at him. She was by no means a small woman, not in her former life and not in this one either, the lanky guy still was half a head taller. "Genevieve is my baby sister cousin, I like my baby sister cousin, she is family you know and family is important especially my baby sister cousin is important to me. You hurt her and I will hurt you, there is no off switch in her brain you know, once in it means in, no way out no means of retreat. It is best for you to make a very, very fast retreat while you still can."
"I have no intention to do so." Shisui said and smiled at her. "I doubt I have an off switch too. You heard of the curse of hatred?"
Anuk tilted her head before shaking it. "No not really."
"Well, I am an Uchiha, we rarely come to care for someone in most cases but once we do, we are pretty Loyal people." he said and Anuk snorted before laughing out loud.
My baby sister cousin sure got taste, cannot deny that.
"And what got that to do with a curse?"
"The more we care for someone, the worse the Hatred we feel once we lose it. We don't risk that, and I know that I wouldn't be able to contain my hatred if someone harmed Gene." He said, and Anuk stopped.
"She is a Shinobi, that is not a safe occupation." she noted and waited for his answer and was surprised by the sheen of adoration and something that reminded her very much of the commander when he was determined, the latter being the only thing she needed to know.
"I know. But I am not one to stifle others, I want her to be strong, so she can protect what she wants to protect, and until then I will protect her and even afterwards I will protect her. I am Loyal to Konoha, I am loyal to the Uchiha, but I am also Loyal to Genevieve." he looked at her. "But I am not blindly loyal, that lessons was beaten out of me by a foul tempered black eyes little menacing brat."
"The commander always had a way to make a point." Anuk raised her hands. "Good you know. Then that is that better watch it, I meant it when I said I would beat you into a bloody spot on the pavement and then feed your remains to Emeraudes premium breed fishes."
"What is so special about those fishes.... I keep hearing about them? Just the fact that they are man eating?" he asked, and Anuk felt suddenly taken back to when she wondered about the same thing until that fateful day in the middle of Venice.

"Oh well. There was Emeraude, old man Philipe, the Commander and me on a mission in the middle of Venice, a large Italian Laguna city. The Gondoliers are smoking, by the way. Emeraude was having a few of her fishes with her for a guy who wanted to buy them, and since we passed by anyway, we thought little of it. That was until we had a small infestation, bad days back then, brooding in the water, combine that with a gone mad mafia Capo, and we ended up with plenty of corpses of the non licensed kind. The guy who wanted to buy the fishes wanted to see them at work, and so we did the logical thing, we threw in a few bodies, and had them devoured by the fishes. The fishes got a taste for human meat and basically refused anything else from then on. Since it made their scales real shiny and so on, Emeraude took her breeding to another level and started to train those damn things to be like bloodhounds and god they were good. Be it from the Jungle zones or anything else, her best fishes could track down a person from the smallest remains of blood on scent alone." Anuk blinked. "About a few dozen jungle rebels and otherwise fell victim to those beauties. It became like a way of saying...don't follow our words, and we feed you to Emeraudes Piranhas. Let me tell you one thing, this place is pretty chill and tame in comparison to the battlefields of our old home."
"What are you?" Shisui suddenly asked. "Just what, you say you come from a place called France and I sure put in effort, but I didn't find anything anywhere. Who the hell are you?"
"Except for Gene, old battle tired soldiers that have seen more than they should." Anuk answered. "That is why we treasure our second shot at life all the more. I will never again watch anyone become a weapon again, it is not a life for anyone, I will do all I can to prevent that for Gaara."
"You have too much Honor for a Shinobi." He suddenly said, and Anuk felt the seriousness in his words, internally agreeing.
"I wasn't cut out for being a Shinobi to begin with. I am a soldier, a warrior at best, and that is that. Not more, not less." Anuk shrugged her shoulders. "You better keep an eye on Gene, she is a bit like me and will need someone with the cunning and the ability to fight very, very dirty."
"I will."
Turning, she decided there was no use in being serious any longer, she grinned at him. "Now Shisui, where can I get some good food, warm food, at this ungodly early hour of the day I am starving."
"I am sure you can convince Gene to the best Ramen Shop in Konoha." he answered and had her grinning. Yes, he was used to the swings of atmosphere like a pro.
"Great, I luuuuuuvvvveee Ramen." Anuk announced and felt her Suna emblem that she still wore on her side like a piece of lead, looking at the unblemished symbol she looked at Shisui and stretched out a Hand. "Could you lend me a Kunai a sec?"
He handed it to her without any hesitation.
Confident one, are you.
She took it and took off her headband. With a smooth strike, she slashed through the village emblem, staring at it before handing over the Kunai back to Shisui.
"Thank you, hadn't come around doing that up until now. I have no rights wearing it anymore, at least not like before."
