Chapter 164: IV Chapter 11 – Anuk – Meetings

The World outside the Sandy deps of Suna was really greener, more to Anuks liking. She had given Shisui her talks which basically were meaning one thing.

This was her duty after all, giving Gene's potential suitor a good talk and threaten him well and thorough...although her cousin was more than capable of doing so herself. Becoming a Traitor-Nin had felt strange as hell, but it had to be done...she did not like how others looked at Gaara. Which reminded her she had to feed him and tell the lackey the Commander had sent after her, she knew he was there. The Commander had done a mediocre job teaching them, maybe during the night for sleep they would be helpful Babies were exhausting, and they cried, like cried during the night sometimes even if he was an Angel hanging upside down swinging to calm him down in the middle of the night at odd times had not been her intention or plan. 

Using a Henge to have her appearance changed to a middle-aged woman and making her Sword invisible, a trick she had learned from Karura she walked down main street whistling an old twenty century or was it twenty-first century song, The Devil went to Georgia or something had been the name. 

In front of her she suddenly felt a very familiar Chakra signature, well less signature but a certain kind of Chakra she would swear belonged to her cousin, but it was such a difference in amount of Chakra that it had to be someone else. 

Same Kekkei Genkai?

She tilted her head and mentally compared the Uchiha cousins, they had the same vibe and this resembled it. 

Huh...

Her curiosity burning she smiled a little and let a bit of her own Chakra leaking, nothing too obvious or else Rasas lackeys, a lot more disagreeable than the Commander's lackeys, would be after her. The action did not go unnoticed, even if it was faint, a second chakra signature appeared next to the familiar one. This one was stronger and harsher and protective. 
Karura always said she had no idea how Anuk did it, but she often got a feeling for a person from their chakra. Shisui was utterly smitten with her cousin and considered his cousin more a brother, it showed. 

Passing by her was a grim looking man with a giant sword on his back, one she recognized one of the seven swordsman of the mist. Next to him was a small boy, or at least she assumed it was, he couldn't be a day older than Genevieves Charges. Her brain analyzed the situation and as she walked past them, she stopped and had her Henge drop. The other party, the huge man, stopped as well. 

"Do you mean harm to Konoha?" she asked coolly. If he meant harm to Konoha she would have to cut him apart, if he did not then it was fine, and she would walk on. She couldn't let him make trouble for her cousin...the boy, girl, undetermined could mean trouble for her baby sister cousin. 

"What would you do if I say yes?" the other party asked her, and she turned grinning showing off her teeth and having her eyes glow, the effect always a good scare. 

"Kill you." she answered honestly. 

"I see, no, I do not mean harm to Konoha."

"Good, then have a pleasant day and greet my cousin." Anuk said, eyeing the child. "They are of the same kind." 

"I see, may I know who I am talking to?" the man asked, and she could literally touch his tension. "Because I wonder why I did not know that a former Suna Shinobi had relatives in Konoha....actually I did not know either village had someone with such an aura..."

Anuk giggled, letting the act drop she usually kept. 

"I see you are not too far from my kind...it is unimportant who I am, I mean no harm..." she stopped a second." ...I have something to protect like you do, no need for battle even if it would be an interesting bout, it has been a while since I fought someone like you." 

"I would lose." 

"I know, but there is nothing better than a good small battle exercise to have a good day, and you would make a nice one." 

"You mean before I die?" 

"Sure" Anuk leaned forward. "May I know your name before you go, I am intrigued." 

"I do not know yours, why should I give you mine?" 

"Mhh, because I asked you too?" Anuk tilted her head. "And if you are telling lies, I need to know whose scalp I have to take." 

"Indeed, I am Zabusa" he answered and pointed at the boy. "This is Haku." 

"I am Anuk Bernaude. Good then, have a nice day you two." Anuk waved goodbye and put her Henge back up. Back to Whistling, she continued walking down the road.
