Gene moved, she shot another arrow as a second Kunai flew out of the bushed deflecting it before making her way to where Seiyus brother was and where she could only guess their opponent.
Keeping a vanishing up she made her way silently among the trees only to end up watching a sight she had not expected, the Kunai had not been thrown by a third party it had been Seiyus brother, with eyes filled in hatred. Hatred that did not come from one day to another, but that had been boiling for a long time, focused on the small girl.
Putting two arrows on her bowstring, she shot them and pinned his arms to a tree next to him, firing another two she pinned his legs as well.
"What are you doing?" she hissed at him viciously, jumping downwards. "Are you mad?"
"Mad?" he asked and glared at her. "Why are you stopping me?"
"What do you mean?"
"You hate the Hyuga, as do I, you hate them, you and the Uchiha. I was expecting some agreement from you, this girl dies and he Hyuga can change, we from the branch family will no longer be slaves to incompetents."
"Last I checked, no one was a slave, and that being said, I offered you an out, and you refused."
"As if I had a choice." he ripped off his hand from the arrow, cutting himself, blood splattering the ground as he then ripped off his headband and let it fall onto the ground. "I was already marked, all of us are as soon as the Byakugan awakens, marked to be slaves to the main family. I get rid of this child, and that bastard calling himself head will be heartbroken and an easy victim."
"And how, I know it does not allow you to hurt the main family." she hissed back and was met by a dark glimmer in his white eyes.
"Because someone was able to modify it, so we can." he hissed back. "Do you think you are the only ones, do you think we had no one ever attempting resistance...oh there were plenty, there are plenty, and we have been plotting and scheming for a long time. If the Uchiha had not kept the attention of the leaders we would have been long discovered, but as things were they overlooked us."
"And a small child is to pay for it all?"
"She is dirty blood. Just the first stone. I so not wish to hurt the Yuki nor harm your people, you have always helped my cause, protected my brother...." his voice grew fainter as he laughed. "...but no more are we willing to be slaves, no more. I thank you for everything Yuki-dono, but I know you are too honorable to let a child die and I cannot have you deliver me to the Hokage."
With that he seemed to bit on something and Gene cursed. Surging forwards, she tried to force his mouth to open, just to find a slack body, heartbeat gone. He was dead.

She stared at it, having trouble to grasp what just happened. The Hyuga were plotting an uprising, what the heck was going on.....she knew it would someday backfire on them how they treated their people, but like this.
Next to her, a fire roll rolled through the forest, and she stretched out her hand, freezing it. Turning she looked at Shisui and Itachi fighting, making a swift decision she left behind the body and jumped back into the trees. Firing arrow after arrow, she took out incoming men and made sure Itachi and Shisuis backs were guarded, but she had trouble keeping her head with the task. Her mind returning to what just happened.
If the Hyuga really face a falling out like that, the consequences will be unimaginable.
She actually missed that moment. Cursing internally, she took out a Kunai and decided to go into another form of support. Like this, she was a danger to her own comrades if she missed her shots. Covering her body in icy chakra, she slashed her Kunai upwards and froze all in sight.
From the corner of her eye, she saw Sora and the Baby being moved into safety.
Now let's just tank through this.
Discarding her Kunai she covered both her hands and let her chakra spread uncontrollably freezing all it touched. A field that had become her domain. It felt right, almost to right.
[Ice Style: Cold Kingdom]
She moved through it effortlessly and freezing all she went close to, dancing through her opponents, shutting her mind down, and finally it worked.
You think too much. Especially when you are doing close combat, you need to have the same focus when firing an arrow to really be good at it and not just above average.
Tsukiko had said that and at some point Anuk as well she was sure, but right now she felt in her element, a bit numb inside but also seeing all sharper, moving sharper, reacting faster and more focused.
In the end no one was left standing only her, panting and looking at her sourroundings. Feeling exhalted and yet totally wrong at the same time. The Coldness, the same forzen state she had felt in Kiri it was back...and she was unsure if she ought to be comfortable of the fact.
