Keeping it secret from Kakashi was harder than Gene originally thought. He was keen and noticed all too soon that they were keeping something from him.
But keeping quiet he did not intrude but fully focused on his mission while Gene was waiting for Tsukiko to come back while investigating deeper into the entire theory she had. With every day, the more brainless the theory, but also made sense in some weird it makes sense moments. It was then when Tsukiko came back to Konoha.
She was quiet for once and said nothing as she greeted them and dashed into Hatake mansion to hug her mother. Which in turn made cooing sounds at her little Tsukiko, who hugged her tightly and then went to hug Kakashi. The latter to the surprise of them all accepting the hug commentless.
The two were for a moment in their own little world when Gene told Tsukiko about her theory, which then had her gunning for her office and run her hand through her hair, the bags underneath her eyes speaking of sleeplessness deeper than usual. Although they did not have any way for this to end well, Tsukiko decided they needed to put an end to all of this mess and start to plan ahead.
They needed to build up Konoha in the coming years.
"This is nothing done with haste." She said and looked at Minato who had moved to her office.
"Our young Shinobi, although promising, are no-where close enough to go anywhere near such a battle."
"To add, we have another problem." Tsukiko had a stack of paper on her desk and signed. "This is my latest report from Anuk....that battle junkie is once and for all a magnet when it comes to trouble and to catastrophes of epic proportions."
Minato sighed, "Not another one....seriously, you are my assistant advisor and I would not switch you out ever, but this is going on my nerves all of this and not in a good way. Is it too much for a man to wish a single evening with his wife and son at home to eat dinner and go to sleep without worries."
"Well. Woe is you Hokage, don't take the job if you expect a private life. I want my evenings with Kakashi in tow and my mom cooking dinner." Tsukiko frowned, waving a piece of paper. "I am too old for this crap."
"So, what happened to Anuk?" Gene asked her, and Tsukiko slumped on her desk with a pout."
"She managed to get tangled with the land of iron Samurai....and she discovered some strange guys in a red cloud coat which and I quote. 'Are nasty freaky buggers, one of which is a very creepy art explosion guy, a guy who plays with dolls and freaky scythe sword messy but weird dangerous fighting.'"
"That is her description?" Minato asked, and Gene was sure she saw an eyebrow of his twitch dangerously.
"It is Anuk." Tsukiko empathized. "Getting a decent description out of her that is understandable is like asking for Emeraude to turn less psycho and Gene start liking politics."
"I hate politics...I like to act not to sit and talk...so all we need to do is figure out where those people, one of which is an explosion user, another a puppeteer and a proficient kenjutsu user and get rid of them as a problem. And then we need to find Orochimaru, get rid of him, find Madara Uchiha and get rid of that guy too and everything will be fine." She said and counted down on her fingers. "Easy as that."
"I....well yeah basically." Tsukiko said and seemed to pray for something. "Until then Minato we need to get the forgotten on our side, and the rest of the Shinobi villages, something tells me this will not be as easy as Gene makes it out to be."
"Neither do I, this will require major work, Tsukiko."

"Can I get a new Kimono." She asked and he looked at her. "If it not a black one."
"Then forget I asked...black Kimonos are basically my best ally. Oh Gene question, are those two unknown individuals at your place yet on Konohas Payroll, I mean in the official sense?"
"No, but if you intend to use them as spies, I strongly object." She refuted. Haku and Zabusa were for all that mattered now members of the Yuki, and she would take care of them.
"Just the older one...we need someone to go investigate, possibly for a long time undercover mission to those red cloud guys, and if we take someone who is known as a member to the Konoha Shinobi. All people I know and trust to have the ability to do so are known for their loyalty would have to do some quite gruesome things for them to be accepted by people who give Anuk trouble to think of them fondly. Your guys are not yet on the payroll, I assume, but from all I can feel, the older one is capable." Tsukiko said, and Minato stomped his foot.
"No, we cannot trust them, not with Konoha hanging in the weight." He objected and Gene saw Tsukikos point it needed no great mental exercises.
"Tsukiko, I know he is capable, but also a member of the Yuki."
"One Minato, if you want simple loyalty, neither I nor Gene should be here. We like Konoha, we have dear people here, but we are not loyal to it, we are not now not ever vassals of the land of fire, not do we carry patriotism for it inside of us. The Will of Fire is nothing but useless propaganda to us." Tsukiko said and hardness in her was noticeable. "What we need is capability. Although Konoha has the hugest power base, and an unprecedented number of Kage Rank Shinobi, a storm is brewing."
"Still, you will take none of mine, Tsukiko."
"We might not have a choice, the only other option I can muster is Itachi... Her fists balled. He will agree, he would even become a traitor, he is loyal to Konoha even before to the Uchiha not like you or me for whom our Clans are first. I will not do that to my friend, I'd rather send a stranger to his death."
Minato stilled as he looked between the two Shinobi, who were visibly fighting amongst each other.
"But he is one of mine now, I cannot let you do that."
"STOP BEING AN IDEALIST!" Tsukiko shouted. "Sometimes a choice needs to be made. This is yours, you are a Shinobi,a storm is brewing, and it will be not be a small one, think of the greater good. Will you act for a person you hardly know or for a friend that stood at your side all the times"
"Find someone else than those two!"
"There are preciously little qualified." Minato said to her, and she stared at him. "Introduce us, we test him if he is capable then the decision is yours. Tsukiko we have little to go by...can I trust you on this"
"Genevieve, the word does not always turn as you want it to. Hokage...has there ever been an instance I have been wrong? Mistakes kill people, I don't like them and will go to all lengths to protect what I hold dear."
