"He will be your teacher for the next few months." Istan speaks with a descriptive voice as he looks at me, then at the children.
The children have confused faces as they look at me before realising that they didn't really misheard anything. A stunned expression forms on their face as their eyes turn wide open and they observe me from head to toe for a few moments.
As for Cirdan, his curiosity must have been piqued by quite a lot because he was intensely staring at me without holding back.
I look at the children for a few moments and then at the Elves present in the library who are doing their work. Looks like they did not hear anything.
'Must be the Library's Magic so as to minimise disturbance within this place,' Thinking that I once again look at the Library before observing the lids in front of me as I begin to speak,
"All right. Let's get to the main point then, shall we? Currently you guys must have a hundred questions but let's answer that in a single sentence, 'It's the King's Order' and as long as that is valid, you don't have a choice in it. Conversely, since your King has chosen me to teach you guys, who are the best in this kingdom at your age, at least trust the King's Decision, if not ours."
Taking the name of the King really works, I guess. I wonder if it is only an Elf thing or there are other races which can be manipu- I mean smooth-talked by using their King's or Queen's name.
The children's eyes get serious, then they look at me, then nod. I look at Cirdan, who is having a curious smile on his face, and Lia and Istan who are smiling at my approach.
"Well, let's check your mana level and nature to look into what kind of superpower you want to become. Also, let's interact with each other more to see what we can get out of you by the end of our training," I speak and then call one of them to move forward.
I check his mana levels and nature, using the spheres I collected from Adolphus back in Eslaine. Soon, I sent him back and asked for another to come. Slowly and slowly I finish checking each and every one of their mana levels.
"Well then, let's start with our first lesson."
…
DEMON CONTINENT LAPLACE:
In the Devil King's throne room, Wrath and the King are talking with each other. The King is sitting on the throne and Wrath is standing against him with his eyes down.
"Go to Alfheim in secret, along with Ladros," the Devil King says as he looks at Wrath with a slightly thoughtful expression.
"Your Majesty, the Devil King. Do you want me to massacre the Elves?" Wrath asks with a slightly emotional expression as his eyes slightly close with tiredness.
The Devil King looks at Wrath as he observes him for a few moments before speaking, "it's not that, my child. I just want my other young ones to be safe. In other words, I need you to protect Ladros when things go wrong."
Wrath looks at the Devil King with a slight stemmed expression as he blinks at him before asking, "the way you are saying it...it's as if they are surely going to lose. Is there another God involved in this battle?"
The Devil King observes Wrath for a few moments before speaking. "By the time you reach Alfheim, I believe calling him a God in front of that Sage might still underestimate him. Although, since a real God is involved in this situation, I really can't say what the outcome of that battle will be. So, my child, listen to every word that I am about to say to you. Cause yours and Ladros' and also, Belphegor's Life will depend on this statement alone."
The Devil King's expression turns serious as he looks at Wrath for a few moments. Wrath's face turned shocked hearing all this information. Concentrating his eyes on this King, he gulps before nodding and tightening his hands as he prepares himself to listen to the King's next words.
"When everything seems nonsensical. When you feel like what you are witnessing is an illusion and not a reality, run towards him rather than away from him. When you reach at least a few 10s of metres away from him, shout these words as loudly as you can. 'What you are searching for will require The Gizem's hidden knowledge. Let us go, for we are the friends of The Joker.' "
Wrath gulps before registering each and every word into his brain as he repeatedly mutters in a low voice, the same line over and over. He then looks at the King who has a slightly relaxed expression, and speaks,
"So I take it as that Ladros' hard work that he did will all be in vain. For the things he worked hard for centuries, he will lose everything in this battle. He will not accept it that easily, Your Majesty."
The King smiles at Wrath before speaking, " he will lose everything, that is true but... if he survives that battle, he will get what he wants in return. I can assure you of that much, at the very least."
Wrath's expression looks like he did not understand the King's words before he nods and leaves the area. The King watches him leave with his eyes slightly closed before muttering to himself,
"I wonder what the Gods would do once he reaches them. Given that guy's personality, once he gets to know the complete truth, he will surely kill each and every one of those bastards. I wonder if he can find a way to save Visca though...sigh...I hope things go smoothly for all the hard work I have done until now."
The King closes his eyes as he vanishes from the throne, leaving an empty silence covering the area.
