A MONTH BEFORE THE WAR

UNIA'S POV:-

"And that's what had happened in that city." I see the Supreme Devil Ea reporting about her work she did on Ladros' order. Her eyes are ecstatic as they look at Ladros and a constant smile is blooming on her face. With her pink hair, she looks as **** as she could be. 

Ladros ignores her affectionate gaze and then waves his hand to ask her to leave from there. She observes Ladros for a few moments before nodding and leaving from there. 

"Did you find out about that child, Morpehus?" Ladros speaks as he looks at me with a piercing gaze. Even though I have told a made-up story with half truths in them, he still doubts my words. I sigh in my mind before speaking, 

"I do not know what you are talking about, Lord Ladros."

He observes me for a few moments before standing up and getting closer to me, then he grabs my neck and lifts me up in the air.

With an emotionless face, I observe him as he lifts me up by my neck. Before he could speak something, someone else joins the convo, 

"Funny how every time I see you. You are angry."

A young man in a white cloth walks towards us one step at a time. Ladros glares at him before leaving my neck, resulting in me falling to the ground. My eyes glare at the person who has joined as I think about him,' Zitherer...what is he doing here?'

One of the Gods of unknown origin. He entered this world without anyone knowing about his backstory. Even Gods themselves do not know of this guy's existence.

'Other than Morpheus, he is the only one that makes me wonder just what kind of person he is.'

The mastermind behind Ladros' plans and the controller of the war between humans and other races. Whenever anything human related occurs, this guy is always present, no matter what the situation is.

"I have bad news and bad news for you," he speaks with a slight smile as he looks at Ladros. Confused at his words, Ladros asks,"what do you mean by that?" as he tilts his head slightly and a furrow forms on his forehead.

"Another God has taken an interest in you and he will come soon to take you in as his piece for his next game. The other news is that I am taking Unia with me. She will be travelling with me from now o-"

Before he could finish speaking, Ladros' punch reaches closer to Zitherer, but stops before it could touch him. His eyes are bloodshot as he looks at Zitherer and asks, 

"What the f*ck do you mean? Didn't you say that no other God will interfere with my work if I followed along with your plan?"

He seems to be really disgusted by Zitherer's decision. Zitherer on the other hand, just stands there with a slightly tired expression as he speaks, 

"This is your fate. There are only so many things I could do about it. You must follow it to the end."

Though Zitherer seems to be speaking to Ladros, it's as if he is speaking those words to himself.

Zitherer then pushes Ladros away and then blinks in front of me and speaks," we have a lot of work to do. Let's get going from here.``

And we both vanish from there to an unknown location. I see Ladros jumping at him, but judging by the distance between us, I don't think he would be able to make it here. I also see the shadow of a grey robed child appearing behind Ladros. 

Ladros is looking in our direction with the same glare as before finally getting transferred

Opening my eyes and observing the surroundings, I find myself in the middle of a forest. Before I could analyse any further, a voice comes from behind me, 

"Unia. I am about to tell you a story. Listen carefully, because the fate of this world depends on you and you need to know about this more than anyone,'' Zitherer says as he appears behind me. His face, which was slightly tired before, was now much more mature and calm. 

I look at him with a curious face as I wonder what he is getting at, ' fate of this world? On my shoulders?' 

He looks at me for a few moments before he begins to speak," I am…."

And then he tells me about himself, and how he is connected to this world's future. He tells me about how I am connected to this world's future. The more he spoke, the more my eyes became wide as I couldn't help but ask him to stop at times to digest the facts he was telling me.

After a long speech and discussion, he finally puts a closure to his words as he speaks,"so currently we need Corey to meet with Aisha. That is the best possible scenario. We also need to make sure that Ladros and Galadriel stay alive after the War of the Elves and Devils."

I observe his face for a few minutes before nodding at his words as I speak. 

"Well, if things are really as messy as you say, then there is only so much choice I have in it. But….if it is about him then, I think I can do it."

A satisfied smile forms on my face as I answer him.

'Yup. If it is for that guy, it is really not bad to follow along with the plan and be a puppet. Even if it means being God's puppet, but wait, is he really a God?' I think as I observe and analyse his face. Looking at me observing him, he looks at me with a piercing gaze before sighing and speaking. 

"Let's get back here after finishing the rest of the work."

I nod at him and we both vanish from there at once.

ON THE DAY OF THE WAR…

I analyse the fight as carefully as I can. After observing the event unfolding in front of me, the only thought that occupied my mind is, 

'It really is going as he had said it will go.'

I then see the full potential of Aether's power, only to be flabbergasted by it.

'He really is….strong enough to look down on a God,' I think as goosebumps rise all over my body as I recall back the day when I killed his brother only to make an enemy out of him.

'That was probably the worst mistake I ever made in my entire life.' I think as a dry smile forms on my face. I shake my head and observe the war.

Aether kills the God as brutally as possible and then moves towards Galadriel.

'All right, here comes my part of the job.' I think as I move in front of Aether and Zitherer helps in the escape of Galadriel and helps in the vanishing of Corey. Aether moves to attack Zitherer, but Zitherer does something and gains an upper hand on Aether. Aether looks really confused by the turn of events as he observes Zitherer before finally turning unconscious.

Both me and Zitherer then vanished from there.

I observe the unconscious kid, Corey Eros, in front of me, then look at Zitherer before looking back at Corey once again.

Corey will be sent to Aisha and will follow along with her journey...at least that is the plan Zitherer had told me he has for Corey. Through...looking at both Zitherer and Corey at once, I couldn't help but ask a question to Zitherer as a playful smile forms on my face.

"Don't you have something to say to that kid?"

I speak as I bend towards Zitherer and speak in a playful manner. His expression turns quite annoyed as he looks at me before sighing and speaking to an unconscious Corey. 

"Protect her with your life."

He seems really passionate about the word 'protect' .

'Hehe...it really is funny when you look at it from this side..' I think before nodding at myself and asking,

"You seem really passionate about the word 'protect', you know?" as a slight chuckle escapes my mouth.

"Stop speaking nonsense and concentrate on the important work," he says as he sighs before waving his hand slightly and the unconscious Sage appears in front of us.

"I will be taking Galadriel with me. You go and do the task I have assigned you. It's about time the clocks of fate start to turn," he speaks and vanishes from there along with the Sage and Corey.

I observe the area where he vanished, and sigh as I think about what he has told me.

'To be honest, if you didn't come as a living walking proof, Zitherer, I would have never believed that all of this is real. Sigh...I wonder how many more threads of fate have been turned by you guys alone. The Gods….those higher Gods....have really messed with the wrong group of people this time ' I think as I vanish away.
