Chapter 72: Passing Time

LUCY'S POV:-

It's been a week since King Allen and King Geralt visited Eslaine. Looking at the market in front of me bustling right now, it doesn't look like anything has happened last week. The more I get to know Leader's extent of power the more I get stunned.

Shaking my head I walk towards the market. It doesn't matter how strong leader is or rather it does matter, after all the more strong he is the more chance he can help me in getting revenge against the Orc King.

Recalling back once again what he did to me a vicious smile forms on my face and the mana around me condenses once again. Looking at everyone fearfully staring at me I retract my mana and get my thoughts in control. 

"What should I take? What should I take? This, this and this too. Yup, also that one…" I hear the voice of a guy you usually don't expect to see on the market. He suddenly stops and turns back at me. Finding me looking at him, he smiles as he calls me to him. Since Leader doesn't have any problem with him, I shall too not have problems with him. I move forward to look what he is doing only to find him carrying all sorts of flavours of spices and other foods.

"Adolphus, are you sure you should be here buying all these spices and foods?" I ask Adolphus trying to understand if he is a fool or not. If I heard correctly, everyone should play their part as they played before the Devil's attack.

"Naah it's fine as long as within human(CORRECT THIS). My love for cooking is something I didn't leave even before. Now that I can go all out on it, the most it will look to Ladros is that I have finally gone crazy with my passion. Nothing less nothing more," he smiles as he explains.

At the mention of Ladros, my heartbeat slightly increases before I look around to notice that a sound barrier is already there. Then I once again look at Adolphus as I try to analyse his power level.

Being a Adventurer's Guild master he should be powerful no? And I heard from Zwain too that he single handedly took control of the battle against 3 mages on his own. Though all of them were pretty much holding back it is pretty much a feat in itself.

"Checking my power level without my permission, huh?" He asks me. I feel slightly bad for doing so before I nod. No point in hiding against a mage of his class.

"Haha…I like that honesty. Well, to tell you the truth, I am not that strong. If I can't even protect myself in this world, I won't allow myself to think that I am strong," he speaks his mind as he completes his transaction and starts to walk. I watch him walking slowly as he looks around searching for something before his eyes darts to another stall and he moves there.

I then ponder over his words as I compare his life to mine. Our lives are different yet similar huh? I then start to walk deeper into the market where I see another guy whom I see almost everyday here.

"Leraye was it?" I mutter as I look at him preparing to fight another person barehanded. 

It is an open area fight where betting is allowed. The only rule is that you win when the other one gives up. Also no weapons.

I look at Leraye as he prepares to fight with a bright expression. A smile forms on his face as it reaches from one ear to another.

Looking at the opponent it is one of the Human knights. He too readied his stance as he concentrates his Aura into his body.

The referee moves in between them,

"3…2…1..Start."

And he then runs outside their field of fight. Both of them have not moved an inch from their original position. Looks like they are gauging each other's strength before making a move.

Then the Knight makes his move as he dashes towards Leraye with an insane speed.

Leraye dodges swiftly and creates a small gap before initiating a round kick. The knight looking at the reaction prepares for a block with his arms.

-Bang

A loud noise comes and the Knight slides back in the same position he blocked the attack. His arms looks heavily wounded but it starts healing quite fast before being completely healed. Leraye is still in the position where he kicked the Knight. He then slowly retracts his foot. The wide grin is still plastered on his face as he observes his opponent. 

Then Leraye moves for an attack as he bends down for a fast dash

-Woosh

Leaving behind what was only dust he reaches in front of the Knight who also looks shocked at this sudden high speed. Before the Knight can react, Leraye starts punching him all over. 1 punch 2 punches 5 punches…10…20…Leraye kept going over n over.

My eyes widen as I look at him. The Knight was able to keep up in the beginning but as the punches got more and more they started getting through the Knight's defences more and more easily. If I am not wrong Leraye was getting not only faster but more stronger with each punch. It's as if he is releasing more and more of his powers with each passing moments. 

Soon, the fight came to an end when the Knight lost consciousness. Leraye seems to be satisfied with this fight. He then looks at me and smiles as he signals for a fight. I shake my head signifying a no at which he shouts,

"LET'S DO IT LATER SOMETIME."

Everyone starts looking at me next. I even felt killing intent from the ladies as I look around. My forehead can't help but twitch at that. My expression turns slightly furious before I use some fire magic to slightly burn their hair. By the time they will realise something is wrong it would have already been too late. Thinking that a satisfied smile forms on my face. I then start moving towards the direction where I needed to go in the market. 

I once again look back at Leraye who is initiating another match with an Elf this time. 

Sigh

Looks like Morpheus got a monster in his party. Well, who am I to complain if I myself am not much different from others. I mean seriously, with Phan gaining such a huge enlightenment, I doubt Chase will take any more time to get enlightenment. Plus Kaneto himself is quite strong. I don't know his limits but at least he is much stronger than me.

Soon I reach the place where he wanted to meet me,

"Took you long enough. I was waiting for you for quite a while," speaks the guy with whom I had to meet today.

"What do you want and who are you?" I can't help but ask this question to him. Honestly, the method to call me which he used was very…unique to say the least. It did pique my curiosity by a margin so I thought no problem in giving someone a little bit attention if someone is craving for it.

"My name is Albert and I am here to talk about a certain member of your party. His name is Morpheus I suppose right now. It's simple really miss Lucy, at least for a mage of your caliber it should be quite easy.. I want you to throw that prick out of your party," Albert speaks with a gentle smile on his face.
