Chapter 5: I’m solid!!!!

Looking behind himself, Drax was just in time to see the Kelo-vile burst through the trees in an explosion of wood. Turning back around, Draxes eyes looked in every direction, trying to find a way to escape. Feeling hot breath on run across his neck, Drax turned around right as something that should have been nearly impossible happened. The creature's paw came flying at Drax with a speed that Drax knew he would never be able to dodge, thankfully however no physical thing could harm Drax, or so he thought. Unfortunately, this is where Drax was wrong. 

              Expecting the monster's paw to go through him, Draxes' eyes widened in surprise when it didn't. Feeling like he was hit by three diesels at the same time, Draxes body lifted off the ground as he was sent flying through the air. Crashing through multiple trees that he shouldn't have been able to touch, large amounts of gray mist started to flow out of the now many cracks that were spread over his body. As more gray mist left his body, Drax could feel himself getting weaker. 

              After crashing through at least twenty different trees, Drax finally came to a stop as he impacted the ground, leaving a large eight-foot-deep crater that expanded twenty feet wide. Feeling as if his very soul was screaming in agony, Drax did his best to get up. Swerving on his feet as if he were drunk, Drax got up with shaky breaths. (System!!! What Just Happened? How Was It Able To Hit Me!!!!) Drax screamed while steadying himself.

[[[The scales that reside on the outside of its skin seemed to be partly made from a material most commonly called soul reaper mineral. Upon contact with a ghostly being such as yourself, the mineral causes a chemical reaction that momentarily turns any non-physical being solid, allowing damage to be done. Humans use this mineral to create weapons capable of killing beings with a non-physical form. The mineral also seems to have a better effect on undead than anything else found as of yet.]]]

             Hearing the monster's roar coming closer, Drax tried to look for somewhere to hide. (System!!! You need to help me please, where can I hide that the thing won't be able to find me?)

              (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!) Screaming inside his head in anger. Drax turned around as he once again started sprinting. Whatever damage that was done to his body had somehow already healed, but at a high price. Draxes speed wasn't as fast as before and my body was starting to feel tired. Looking behind himself, Draxes eyes widened in surprise as the Kelo-vile suddenly appeared out of nowhere with his paw heading right for Draxes body. 

              Quickly jumping up into the air, Drax barely dodged the paw. Unfortunately, after he jumped into the air Drax just happened to land right on top of the creature's head. Feeling Drax on top of its body as Drax became solid, the Kelo-vile started to shake his body violently. Holding on for dear life, an idea suddenly popped into Draxes head as he moved his paws, which were currently holding on to the side of the Kelo-vile's head, under one of its large scales that was connected to its neck. Pulling as hard as he could Drax did his best to pull the scale from the Kelo-vile's neck. The Kelo-vile started to shake around even more violently as Drax forcefully started to rip the large scale from its neck. 

              Adding the momentum from the monster thrashing, the Kelo-vile's scale had finally started to be pulled off the Kelo-vile's neck. Ripping sounds started to come from under the scale as the Kelo-vile released a large roar of pain. The loudest roar yet sounded as the large scale finally was pulled from the monster. Not expecting the sudden release of the scale, Drax was sent flying off the Kelo-vile's back. Giving a cheer of victory even as he flew through the air, Drax happily waved his Fox tail as he held the Kelo-vile's scale in his paws. Swinging his in anger, the Kelo-vile turned towards Drax as an aura of pure rage covered its body.

              Looking at his body, Drax gave an excited yip as he felt his body stay solid instead of turning back into mist. Dodging a swipe from the Kelo-vile Drax quickly turned around before running away. Not knowing whether he was strong enough or not, Drax put all my strength into his arm as he swiped his claws at a nearby passing tree. Unfortunately, he was not strong enough. As his paw made contact with the tree, a cracking sound came from his paw as some more gray mist started to flow out of it and a pained scream escaped Draxes lips. 

              Cursing at himself for being so stupid, Drax kept on running. Having lost a lot of speed and his ability to maneuver around obstacles, Drax was unable to dodge the paw that came in his direction. Getting hit, Drax was once again sent flying. Even though Draxes physical strength seemed to be next to nothing, at least his defense seemed to be high. Not to mention that Drax was pretty sure he had some kind of regeneration, saying how his injuries healed abnormally quickly.

              So even though Drax was once again sent through multiple trees he got back up pretty quickly, except there seemed to be a problem this time. (My regeneration isn't kicking in.) Drax thought. That's right, the gray mist that was coming out of his body wasn't slowing down. And in fact, it seemed that the gray mist was starting to leave his body at a much quicker pace. Losing the strength in his front legs, Drax was unable to hold himself up. Falling to the ground, Drax was unable to get back up as he looked straight ahead where the Kelo-vile suddenly appeared. 

              With sadistic glee practical radiating off its body, the Kelo-vile started to slowly move towards Drax with small but steady steps. Using all of his remaining strength, Drax put his paw forward and turned his body away from the Kelo-vile. Using his paw, Drax desperately started to try and claw away. Letting out pain gasps with every movement that he made, tears started to flow out of Draxes eyes. (Is this really how I die) Draxthought. 

              Drax could now feel the breath of the Kelo-vile on his neck as he continued to desperately crawl away. Finally giving in to hopelessness, Drax closed his eyes and stopped moving as I waited for the final strike to come.

ARC IS NOT THE ENDING OF A STORY. IT JUST MEANS ONE OF THE MAJOR PARTS OF A STORY IS OVER, MY STORY WILL HAVE FOUR ARKS IN TOTAL.
