Mana density

The mana density of a region is always level one without further intervention. High level regions are the result of powerful creatures dying or a lot of creatures dying, making large battlefields dangerous for generations yet to come. Argul’s prison/dungeon is an irregularity.

While Alyra taught Fia about the system and mana, Argul finally took her time to check her gains.

Quest completed: To walk the world

You created an avatar and can now enjoy the things of those who can move and interact with the world. STR +1, WIS +1

Skill created! Fate contract

This skill allows you to create unbreakable contracts that will change and bind your fate to those of others. While this is not an archive restricted skill, it will be policed by it and abuse will always issue elimination quests to others.

Argul thought she should create a lesser version of the skill to make the life of others easier, but put it out of her mind and concentrated on her notifications again.

Achievement made: Skill creator (3)

You have created 10 or more skills unknown to the archive and opened new possible paths for others. Your skill identify got a minor upgrade. INT +2

Identify (3)

The skill displays everything you know about your target. Even knowledge you forgot will be shown. The skill has a very low chance to hint at information that other sapients know and you do not. The skill does not display false knowledge.

You can upgrade the skill through quests.

While the upgrade for identify didn’t look like much, all new knowledge Argul learned through the skill would then count as her own, making it possible to learn more things by using the skill again. The more she used the skill the better it would now become.

You have contracted your fate to: Alyra Agren, Fia Lotusriver. See details (+)

Achievement made: A leap of fate!

You have bound your fate to the universe, an unknown party just to be able to achieve possible coexistence. You really must have had faith in yourself to do such a monumentally stupid thing. You don’t just bind your fate to strangers and you don’t go with the man who promises chocolate. At least as long as you are not in such things, let’s hope that is not the case

You're so naive that you radiate it. Others are more likely to feel at ease when looking at you. (skill: curse of harmlessness (s)) STR +2

Argul was sure what she had done was pretty planned through properly, but thinking back now she had been incredibly lucky that it had been Fia she negotiated with. It had been more likely to fail than to succeed. While looking harmless might be nice, Argul could also see why the system called it curse. Bandits would be more likely to attack you or predators would be more likely to think of you as easy prey. It was a double edged sword you could only try to wield, but it would never be truly possible to do so for you.

Quest completed: Sweet freedom

You have not only managed to find a way to leave your prison, no you also made it your home. Once a month you are able to sacrifice 50% of your structural integrity to rip open space and travel to the lowest floor of your dungeon. (skill: emergency portal)

Possible duration of portal depends on your core size. (1+(str+int)/wis min)

Cooldown depends on your core size and mana regeneration. (1-wis/(str+int) month)

That skill was a pretty nice reward. It would enable her to possibly save any more normal friends she might get and once she was powerful enough and knew how to open a portal herself she could even do it without sacrificing her health.

Quest changed: Like a weed (1)

Spread your influence. For every planet of your current solar system at mana level 1 your lowest stat will rise by one. 0/10

So there are 10 planets in this solar system that Argul’s old universe just threw away, what a rich kid. She liked that quests might change depending on the situation. It might offer a hint to something that you hadn’t seen before.

New Quest: They called it trash! (1)

While your current universe is not even the size of a galaxy, all kinds of treasures hide inside it. Failed experiments, dangerous creatures, strange natural phenomena and all kinds of interesting things wait just to be uncovered. May your luck hold true!

That was new for Argul, as the quest didn’t talk about what he had to do, but going by the last sentence the archive itself didn’t know where to begin to search, so it made some sense. She opened her status.

Six more wisdom and Argul would try four dimensions again. She might be able to manipulate space with 25 intelligence, but she wasn’t sure about that. Her stats were still coming along nicely for now and her first floor had a third of the area of Germany, so she was sure her ecosystem would survive.

“How is it going Aly?” Argul asked, not wanting to wait and put her head directly in front of Alyra’s so that their noses touched. Alyra glared at her.

“Fia is not ready yet, but if we slowly walk to the portal she will likely be ready by the time we arrive. Weren’t you the one who was all about not having a problem being imprisoned and now look who can’t wait to leave.” Alyra rolled her eyes theatrical while Argul walked a circle around her.

Argul and Alyra took off at a slow run, or rather a fast sprint for humans. It still took them about one hour to get to the portal. An hour which Argul thoroughly enjoyed annoying her daughter by hunting her tails.

Once they were at the portal they still had to wait a bit for Fia, but Argul managed to calm down somewhat. Fia had already opened a portal to Argul on the planet she had named Erod, to complete a quest and learn materialization.

“Okay Aly, you count down from three and I will change body while Fia materializes.”

And so they did. Argul’s form got unclear and changed to a humanoid form, while Fia’s body started to form a few meters in front of Argul.

Argul was two meters tall and slender, but still looked strong. She had a seductive wide hip, long legs and D-sized breasts. Argul’s face, while still beautiful, was not as suggestive as her hips and more nice to look at. She had silver hair and on top of her head Argul’s large silver fox ears were still there. From her rump a silver furred fluffy tail extended long enough to be dragged through the dirt should Argul let it hang. The most offensive detail though were the 15cm of unerected cock that hid her vagina.

Fia looked mostly like she had before and like a normal Vulpirin would look like. She was about 180cm tall and had what one would call elven beauty. While not erotic she was still a looker. The only things that had changed were her hair and wing color. Yes, Vulpirin had wings. Before they had been blond and now they were violett. Her feathers also reflected ultraviolet light if she just opened her wings a bit.

While Argul was still busy inspecting herself, Fia was already inspecting Argul intently, which quickly devolved into staring at Argul’s penis. Argul hadn’t much cared about the second tail between her legs and just thought why not. Now finished with inspecting herself she looked up, directly at the beautiful Fia, who was staring at her.

Argul got red from embarrassment, which in turn made Fia get red and that somehow turned Argul on. Maybe it was just Fia being beautiful, but Argul didn’t care right now, as she slowly got an erection.

New Quest: Clothes!!!!!!!!!!

You idiot!!! How could you not think of getting clothes first you brain dead mana fox!!!

Argul didn’t notice the quest as she turned around and ran and she could run fast. Alyra looked from the still red and somewhat speechless Fia to the tree Argul had disappeared behind and to Fia again. Then she began to laugh harder and harder until she cried and had difficulties getting air. That was hilarious to watch. After overcoming her embarrassment Fia had joined Alyra’s laughing. If that wasn’t a good start for an adventure, then she didn’t know what else one could want.

Argul though wasn’t laughing. She was still embarrassed enough she wanted to die hiding behind a tree while hugging a slime. She wasn’t sure where it had come from, but also didn’t really care as she desperately tried to distract herself with her status and skill changes from what had just happened.

Accelerated [s] growth (all) effects changed.

You can accelerate the growth of all plants you touch a bit if you wish to do so.

Accelerated [m] growth (small) effects changed.

You can accelerate the growth of small plants you touch if you wish to do so

Core regeneration effects changed.

Your body will heal faster than normal and you're less likely to get ill. Your body will heal until not even scars remain.

Knowledge domain effects changed.

The effect of learning is doubled.

It did help, for all of 30 seconds it took for Argul to uncombine Str in Str and Agi, Int in Int and Wil and Wis in Wis and Per. So she read through the stat descriptions too.

Strength (Str)

Strength makes you more durable and stronger. The stat reduces the amount of body fat of your body and grows the optimal amount of muscle mass for your body.

Agility (Agi)

This stat makes you more nimble and heightens the control you have over your body.

Perception (Per)

This stat will strengthen your perception, so you can smell and hear more, see better and also during the dark and will let you perceive faster motions and slower motions with more accuracy.

Intelligence (Int)

This stat will improve your memory and heighten the amount of mana your mind can store.

Wisdom (Wis)

This stat will improve your mana regeneration, as well as how fast you can think.

Willpower (Wil)

This stat will strengthen your mental defense as well as improve any skill that uses mana.

Technically her mana storage got reduced, in practise though she now had two mana pools she could use, as the one of her avatar was its own. She would likely not use her core pool with her avatar other than in emergencies.

Argul started to calm down and stood up. She consciously breathed in and out and once she was ready she tried to put the slime back to the ground, but it clinged to her chest so she just shrugged and hugged it again. It jiggled as if it liked that.

Argul slowly walked back to the other two girls, who still had a hard time breathing. She tried not to look at Fia and failed every 5 seconds, so she just gave up. Instead she focused on the slime, hugged it a bit tighter and named it Aina.

After Argul got back to Fia and Alyra they all walked through the portal with Alyra in the middle and Argul in the front to avoid possible staring. They had all decided not to speak about it yet, but the event had established Fia’s position as a friend pretty much already.

They still needed clothes and now there was a possibility of being seen by a stranger, which made Fia and Argul really wary of their surroundings. Thankfully they had Alyra who could solve their problem, which she somewhat did while warily eying the slime that was still enjoying Argul's hug.
