Chapter 2: Chapter 1: Shenron

Bright stars cross the starry skies as time continues to move. One of the stars seems to have a bit of extra colour like a marking when it suddenly went towards a black hole. Black holes are a devourer of all light and humanity hasn’t yet come in contact with them. They could be dimensional gates or the suction of a monster hidden in the void. Our bright yet marked star continues to travel towards the deep abyss of a black hole but it seems like the black hole is letting it pass through without devouring the life of the small star. The inside of a black hole is bright contrary to the outside and seems to be in-between planes of existence. Maybe the light that is devoured is used to light up the inside of the ever-expanding place justifying why black holes keep devouring. Once the star goes into the black hole, the marking seems to light up and the star seems to travel twenty times faster than the speed of light towards an unknown plane within the maze of planes in the black hole.

When the star goes into one of the many planes, A mighty yet small existence senses the unknown foreign invading its playboard and tries to discover what intentions the star may have. Once he sees the marking however he somehow forgets that he saw the star and continues playing the universes on a chessboard. During the moment of near-death for the star, the mark glows brightly and dims slightly like it lost a lot of energy but the star continues to move to a destination of a weak habitable planet named Earth. The planet seems to be named the dragon world in this plane unlike where the star originated from.

Once the now dim star entered the atmosphere, The star finally revealed its real appearance which is a white egg with blue claws marking it all over in random spots. The blue claw-marked egg lands on a random mountain near a river and a bamboo forest that looks familiar.

Our Mc finally wakes up when the egg lands and finds himself in a cloud world with fluffy yellow clouds on the floor with the rising sun. “Now this is the dream scenery when waking up to the sun rising,” exclaims Namike happily. He decides to lay down to enjoy the scenery and feels a sudden pain in his head once he sat down. He regains his memories of his last moments on Earth and feels no regret as he lived how he thought was right. He seemed to be in a heaven-like area in a certain anime he loved but he sees no land in the distance or hell below the clouds as shown in the anime. The sky is also yellow with red stripes like the sun is just rising unlike the full pink or purple sky shown for heaven.

He decides to forget about it and enjoy playing along the clouds. He touches the ground below and his hands feel like passing through cotton but with a cotton candy texture. He decides to grab some of them and they formed miniature clouds in his hands. The weird thing is they are shaped exactly how Namike expected them to come off. After some thinking, he decided to taste them but it seems they have no taste except a slightly wet feeling in his mouth. “It seems that the clouds are like the clouds in my world but can be moulded like cotton with its texture,” Namike says out loud. He decides to lay down on his back with the sun in front of him shining on his face instead of worrying too much. He feels at peace in this scenery and he suddenly notices that his body seems to be slimmer and taller than the body he had on Earth. There doesn’t seem to be any bulky muscle but he has slim compact muscles with thick and powerful legs. His height seems to have grown 20 centimetres more and his body seems lighter and faster despite the increased weight. ‘Wow. I can feel like I can think and react faster than normal. Maybe having such a fit body affects the function of nerves within the body,’ thinks Namike.

“Let's hope I keep this body while staying in here as I want to spend time experimenting on this cloud land.”

Due to his increased thought process, Namike decides to try some ideas he was thinking of on the cloud land. He gathers the clouds and thickens them to make them partially solid and make a blanket out of them. He was able to discover that using his intent when making an object allows him to know how to shape the cloud appropriately although this is probably the first time thinking of cloud physics. He continues this for 5 minutes. He then decides to make the floor more solid and not bouncy by stamping his foot. After roughly 5 minutes, he finally finishes and he is now equipped with a blanket and a mattress-like surface. He could explore the area another day as he found that he doesn’t feel hungry in this space and wanted to test more things with the clouds. However, fate has other plans as he feels a rumbling occurring in the cloud land.

‘An earthquake in the cloud land? It might be something huge moving as gas would move out rapidly out of the cloud land causing ripples like an earthquake,’ says Namike as he assesses the cause.

Suddenly a huge dragon erupts from the ground a couple of kilometers from Namike. The dragon’s body kept extending with the head of the dragon approaching Namike. As it comes closer, he can see long-flowing whiskers, brown antlers, green scales, and crescent-shaped nostrils with green fur like a mane. Not to mention his iconic bright red eyes, long serpentine body with small hands compared to its gigantic body.

Namike instantly recognized the dragon as Shenron which is the first dragon shown granting wishes in dragon ball. He wonders whether he would be able to understand Shenron but a deep voice in his mind says, “Don’t worry child as I can use telepathy and yes I can’t read your mind so your secrets are safe. My name is Shenron the wish-granting eternal dragon.” For a second, Namike felt a chill crawling down his spine but he recovers quickly due to his body adapting to the pressure emitted by Shenron. Originally, Shenron expected Namike to have despair in front of his appearance as he looks quite threatening to humans but Namike has seen scarer monsters in his past life. He also knows about Shenron not being a bad dragon due to the interactions it had with Beerus and Goku in Dragon ball. Shenron only showed evil intentions due to the negative energy in GT.

Namike asks Shenron whether he is part of his imagination as the space they are in seems magical like a dream world. “Oh, what an excellent observation. This space is your spirit space which is in every universe-level creature but there are exceptions. Normally this space is glimpsed upon when people do mental training or dreaming but certain creatures can access it and interact with the space to suit their needs.”

“The space is the reflection of what you find pleasing in your mind and wouldn’t be bored to spend a long time in. It can be changed to allow training or whatever the user wants,” Shenron exclaims happily due to Namike being able to deduce the nature of this place despite spending less than an hour in this place.

“Wait so I can imagine flying in the sky and it can happen here?” Namike questions Shenron excitingly.

“Not yet my child. That requires the ability to fly in real life as your body to be able to fly in the first place,” responds Shenron as he senses Namike getting quickly disappointed with the answer.

“Why do you keep calling me your child? And why did you appear in my spirit space in the first place?” Namike questions Shenron as the dragon is hovering above him.

“Slow down my child. All questions will be answered. Some time ago, A metal monster humans called a truck delivered a soul to this universe using its power and made me become your ancestor. It explained that you wanted to change yourself and that you felt out of place in the world,” Shenron explains to Namike slowly while Namike puts his hand on his chin in a thinking pose.

As Namike takes in the information that Shenron, a dragon, became his ancestor and Truck-Kun does exist, Shenron continues to explain. “I was able to enter your space due to our connection and your current body.”

Namike quickly asks, “But my body is just a human but more powerful and slimmer than before. How does it connect to you?”

“Your current body is what we call a spirit body which we use to travel throughout our consciousness in the spirit space and the body improvements are affected by your real body. Your real body is the almighty body of an eternal dragon but as an infant.” Shenron exclaims dramatically.

Shenron explains how eternal dragons are wish-granting dragons from dragon balls but there is a variety without the wish-granting but isn’t reliant on the dragon balls for survival. Namike is a descendant of Shenron with the eternal dragon bloodline running through him which explains his improvements. Shenron also explains how he doesn’t have much time left to be in Namike’s spirit world until he has to return to the dragon balls.

“As an eternal dragon descendant, You are granted one wish from the Omni-dragon god to help you with your journey.” Shenron enviously says as collecting the huge dragon ball planets is near impossible.

Namike gets shocked by the privilege and spends some time thinking about what his wish may be. He could wish to have Zeno’s strength and build a harem but he dislikes harem and over-powered protagonists that don't do much hard work. He could wish for riches and spend his life getting strength but he would be easily backstabbed due to the greed every living being has. He finally decided on his wish which is, ”I wish for a virtual system accessible from my mind which will help me grow stronger from my ideas of power progression without a shop feature.”

Shenron asks why he didn't want a shop feature. Namike explains excitingly, ”The body of the eternal dragon should be enough for me and I don’t want to ruin the Dragon ball universe from items from other novels. Plus I want to work hard for my power and not have it be bought and be external. The shop feature may be good but where do the items come from? Some beings may even wanna examine me for the ability to summon things.”

“That is quite a thought-out wish. The Omni-dragon has granted your wish and I wish you a safe journey. Go and live your life only for yourself my descendant!” Shenron shouts before he is seen slowly fading out of the spiritual space of Namike’s mind.

Namike thinks about Shenron's message and decides to improve himself as he travels. The first thing he decides to do is check if the wish he made was granted.
