Well, would you look at that! I did it! It has been two months since the first time I tried to nurture my little seed, and now, it has finally developed into a small plant.
For the past two months, I had been nurturing it every day using Agriculture, infusing it with insane amounts of mana until I became exhausted. It had been growing by around half a centimeter each day. Of course, there were days where it grew less, but it still advanced, nevertheless.
Right now, it was around 60 centimeters big. Over half a meter! For a baby like me, it was big! It was all green, with many leaves sprouting out of it.
Mother gave me a planter to put it in, alongside some spiritual water to water it every day alongside the time I nurture it.
In any case, this plant had turned into something like my companion… hahaha.
It’s always by my side, and I like to see it slowly grow bigger.
It feels like I’m progressing bit by bit. Who knew something like this was an addictive feeling?
Then again, it’s still just a plant, right? I can’t really treat it like a pet. We can’t interact together…
Even then, I like to speak to it and caress it. Of course, I also take good care of it.
Ah, right. Two months had passed. Naturally, I’ve grown a bit more.
With that, I can now finally walk on all fours! Rolling around for so long was really a pain!
In fact, my baby body had developed enough to the point I can independently crawl.
One baby step at a time!
Thanks to this, mother is finally letting me out of the crib to walk around the first floor of the house. However, it was only at this moment did I realize our house was big. Like…really big.
It was around 200 square meters. What the heck? I’ve never seen such a big house before. On top of that, it’s made of wood, a very resilient and fireproof magical wood of sorts.
That aside, I like to crawl around and sneak behind my mother or father.
Like now!
Hehehe…
I found my father in his room, reading a book to rest after working at the farm.
I looked at him peacefully reading the book. It looked like a normal fiction book or something… then again, I don’t know how to read yet.
While reading, he suddenly noticed me and glared at me, but I hide right away behind the door.
“Chu!”
“Huh? Did I see a little mouse around here?” He wondered, slowly making his way outside the room.
In response, I hide beneath a couch as he walked outside.
“Hmm… must have been my imagination.”
Hehehe… I can’t help but laugh stupidly, I think even my mind as a child is enjoying this dumb thing.
“Fufufu…”
“Ah? Gotcha!”
Ah! He caught me red-handed!
“GRAAA!”
I roar as I bit on his arm. Unfortunately, it’s so hard that it feels like I’m biting on pure metal.
“Hahaha! Are we playing bears again? You dare oppose your father bear?” he asked.
“Graaaoo!”
“Graaa!”
He played around with me a lot; we even pretended to be bears and bite each other playfully.
Sometimes, he would even attack me with a lot of tickles, and I can’t help but laugh out loud. This baby body is way too sensitive.

“Hehehe, that tickles!”
“You’re so cute, Sylphy-chan! I will tickle my daughter as much as I want!”
With that, father continued to tickle me, only to suddenly tickle my baby belly as I burst out into laughter.
Around this time, it seemed that mother heard us, calling us to come down.
“You two bears, come down, lunch is ready!”
“Oh! Alright, dear! Come, Sylph.”
After that, he carried me with his big and protective arms as we went downstairs, having nice lunch all together.
“Uwah! The tree you’re raising is already so big, Sylph… I can feel it emanate a lot of magic from within!” Mother could not help but say.
“Really?” I asked.
“Indeed. It’s very beautiful… it’ll grow into a big tree one of these days… unfortunately, we’ll have to plant it somewhere else… you won’t be able to be with it at all times.” She sighed soon after.
“Eeeeh?”
“S-Sorry, dearie. But if you want it to live and grow bigger, you’ll have to plant it somewhere ekse… hmm, how about just at the side of the house? If it’s there, you can come out with us and nurture it every day.” Father suggested.
“Fine…” I sighed.
I guess it’s true. Trees do need a lot of space to grow bigger.
“How about you give it a name?” he asked soon after.
“A name? But it’s just… a tree…” I sighed.
“Not just a tree if you’ve been nurturing it all this time, right? It’s your friend, so you gotta give it a name,” my father replied.
“Sure, it doesn’t move, nor is it as interactive as an animal. However, that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a living being. Even plants, the tiniest grass, have a soul in them. Did you know that? As for the soul of this little tree… I can feel that it’s very attached to you, dear,” my mother said soon after.
“Ooh… really?”
“Indeed! It always gets brighter when you’re closer,” my father responded.
“Also, this is a very mystical tree. Eden Apples are a type of tree said to have been gifted to us by the Goddess of Life to nurture humanity in the beginning. It’s an important fruit, yet forgotten in modern history… as a plant created by a goddess, it’s bound to be more special than grass,” my mother said.
So that’s how it is… I can’t see any glow or light from it when I look at it, though. It must be my parent’s special abilities that allow them to see this kind of stuff…
“I shee!”
After three days, we ended up planting my tree at the side of the house, in a place where a lot of sun could reach it all day.
I named her Yggdra, assuming that it was a girl. Then again, mother told me that Eden Apples was a type of hermaphrodite plant that pollinated itself.
The breeze was rather nice that day as I saw my little tree rest over the dirt.
A sudden faint glow came from it. Thankfully, I was able to notice it… barely.
With that, I looked at the small tree as I heard a sudden whisper…
“Thank you…”
…
Eh?
It… spoke?
Am I hallucinating?
It didn’t say anything else after that…
