I resented hearing how a joke job like [Berserker] was popular in this world and became determined to show them the correct way to proceed in this world. Our turn came as I was thinking this and I remembered why we were lined up in the first place.
“Alright Hannah, go become an Alchemist.”
“U-hm, OK. Yeah if it’s there I’ll become an alchemist.”
“Relax, it’s there.”
I sent Hannah off with a smile and she moved up to the dragon statue. Then according to the teachers instructions, placed her hand on it.
“Wow! It’s really there! I can’t believe it! I heard it showing up depended on talent.”
Seeing the displayed list on the statue Hannah looked back at me and smiled.
“Well hurry up and choose [Alchemist] then, don’t try to wait and hope for something better to come along.”
The job selection affects your life so most people hold out and wait for the one month period in hopes of getting a good job. They do this because job conditions come in a variety of forms such as daily lifestyle, your beliefs,, knowledge, etc.. But in this case it would actually hinder the development of the job, because for an alchemist the only other job would be [Dark Alchemist]. I don’t have any use for such a job as it specializes in in evil things.
“O-ok, I’ll do it.”
Hannah chose [Alchemist] and when she did the rest of the list disappeared as [Alchemist] filled the screen.
“Congratulations on your awakening, please do your best from here on out.”
“T-thank you! ”
Hannah bowed to the female teacher as she received the teacher’s blessing.
By the way, awakening is just a term used to express congratulations when you choose your job. Kind of like throwing rice at a wedding, from today onwards Hannah has become an adult.
And next, my turn.
“I hope you get a good job.”
“Haha, leave it to me. I’ll get the best one there is.”
I responded confidently to Ciara and strode towards the dragon statue as another round of berserker cheers went up.
They really shouldn’t make a fuss about such things, I guess it’s up to me to show them what a great job really is.
[《T/N: there are three types of heros because the first is what you see when someone is summoned, or a foreigner, etc. Basically a hero that’s not from Japan or your home country/world. The next is a hero from Japan/home country/world. And lastly you have the katakana hero….. pretty sure this is what Saitama calls himself in one punch man.》]

“What!”
The teacher looking at my list let out an involuntary shout causing a smile to stretch out the corner of my lips. On the extremely long journey to the Academy I had some time to good of and meet the conditions for a fair number of jobs.
This teacher had probably never seen so many jobs in one list before, it was fun to watch. Her reaction gained the attention of Santa Claus the school’s director and he made his way over.
“Sir, th- uh, ah.”
The female teacher pointed to the list in what could be considered a massive oversight. There are students who want to keep their jobs a secret, such as those part of the royal family.
But since I’m a villager it’s not a problem, in fact, I want everyone to see my jobs.
The director looked to me for permission first, which I gave. And when I did….
“What! This…”
The director was also stunned, causing the attention of both students and staff to be directed this way.
“Whats up with this number of jobs!”
” Theres no way, there’s even high tier jobs on there.”
“I haven’t even heard of some of those.”
“Who is that guy?”
“Hes got [sword saint]. Even commoner could get a high ranking position with that job!”
“Thats not all he’s got [Sage] and [Bishop] as well!”
[What in the world!?”
Yes, look, look at my job list. [Dun-life] has a treasure trove of jobs, even the ones listed here are just a small part of the whole.
So don’t be fooled by jobs like [Berserker] there a much, much stronger jobs.
