I took my fingers back noticing the tip covered in her saliva, I searched my small bag where I carried cookies and took out some cookies, and fed her.

She ate every cookie I offered, her throat was dry so I took out my water bottle and signaled her to open her mouth as she drank some clean water I carried as well.

“cough… cough… “

She coughed a little as she drank the water so fast.

I patted her back as she nodded slowly and drank some more.

She spoke quietly as she thanked me.

I decided to ask her to come with me as I figured she didn’t have anywhere to stay.

I patted her and gave her some support to let her stand but she almost fell due to exhaustion and weakness.

Seeing no choice, I carried her on my back all the way home.

I had to hurry as my hands were busy carrying her and the atmosphere around was getting eerier than ever, I was scared if someone saw us like this, I would be robbed of my money and probably sold as a slave.

Fortunately, I reached home quickly and laid her down on my bed.

She might need an hour or two before getting up again as she seemed to be in deep sleep.

I didn’t even realize due to my caution that she had already fallen asleep on my back only.

I will tell her what to do from here after she wakes up, if she decides to work together with me, it’s good but if not, then I will have to send her away.

I hope she will choose the first one.
